This cockatrice situation is really getting irritating.

Almost all the animals appearing for capture are cockatrice. I have 7 being tamed right now, another three already tamed, one for sale, and at least two more I've sold. That's at least 13 of the things I've caught. They are the species I want least.

The species I want second-least, pumas, I've found three.
I've also found two unicorns, which I don't mind finding, only one was terrible. I did get a couple nice dragons though, and a roc in a color I want if it's genes turn out okay.

But the species I want most, gryphons, appear to be extinct in my area. Not a sighting in days. I even have a gryphon magician in my inn to attract them.

So guess what spawns today, after inviting the magician to my inn?

My puma is so close to reaching level 50, but keeps getting beaten by monsters before she can get most of the experience that's available... why do monsters get to be level 51, anyway? I can't be level 51, what makes them so special?

I can't find a good-statted female gryphon to save my life! I even tried to buy one, but couldn't find any good ones up on the trading post.

Can't catch any either. My gryphon magician came and went without a gryphon appearing on the map. The ones for sale range from mildly bad to entirely terrible.

@Ankoukou & Kayla-La- I have a pretty nice female who's looking for a mate. If you have a good boy, I'd do a double breeding.

Rant: I want to catch more pets for the pure joy of  catching them, but don't want to spend the money to feed or catch them.

its an INN ... yet only one person can stary there at a time ... so its more or less a condo/cottage. it sounds too big just for one lone guest.

Kayla-La & Ankokou, you could use the search feature in the top right corner to find females to breed with. You would just have to PM the owner to see if they'll do reverse breedings.

Koben, yeah you are right. I think it'd be cool if multiple invites could be used. Like one invite from each category could be used at once. A catcher, a magician, and then a special guest. But those rooms would only fill up if you invited them or something.

Dear puma, whom I love because you were my starter,

You're level 20, almost 10 levels behind the other pets I got at the same time. WHY MUST YOU LOSE TO CREATURES THAT ARE THE SAME LEVEL AS YOU???

Sorry for the caps but she's really getting on my nerves at this point.

My starter is the same way, so I used a bunch of mutagens on her, made her better, then made her worse, and now she's some mix of better and worse. And still looses to pets the same level after all that. XD

My better judgement is screaming at me to quit while she has all those nice recessive genes but I really, really want to get rid of faint-hearted.

I've just stopped trying to train Mindi altogether.

It's just a minor irritation when I'm trying to determine the genetics of partially researched breeding partners - but when people use custom skins it conceals the original appearance and phenotype of the animal, making it that much harder to determine the dominant genes in color and markings if the animal isn't fully researched in those categories.

I'm about ready to just start deleting some of these invites. I just can't sell them and most of them aren't useful to me. Ugh.
