What I'm looking for:

Species: Cockatrice

Gender: No preference, my gender needs are in constant flux.

Pet Level: No preference

Caught or Bred: No preference. Silver dominant/recessive cockatrice must not be related to my silver lines.

Stat Preference: One, maybe two red stat marks. Light bones does give a penalty to constitution, if the individual has it, I will not count this negatively.

Research Preference: Partially researched or better, fully researched preferred. At the very least, researched parents.

Genetics Preference: Few negative recessives as possible, up to two is acceptable, as long as they aren't in the same category. Genes may be carried or dominant. At minimum, I'm looking for 6 or more of the listed genes in an individual (dominant-recessives count as two). Typically, I am looking for at least one doubled gene that I am looking for with 3-4 recessives or two doubled genes with 2-3 recessives.

  • Jaw: Acid gland
  • Senses: Acute eyesight -or- Petrifying gaze
  • Brain: Quickmind
  • Paws: Agile Paws
  • Bones: Light Bones
  • Muscles: Spitting Muscles
  • Organs: Regeneration
  • Skin: Stench
  • Color: Silver
  • Markings: Dilute -or- Spotted

What I'm willing to give:

I know I'm being extremely picky, as such I'm willing to pay a little more than your average joe - quality birds demand quality prices, amirite? I'm just going to toss these numbers out there to give a rough idea of what I'm looking to pay, but I'm flexible and I recognize that some genes are just a pain to get. If there's an exemplary individual I may be willing to pay more than the prices listed.

  • Spotted dominant, 3+ recessives - 3-5k
  • 6 recessives - 3-5k
  • One doubled with 3-4 recessives - 5-6k
  • Two doubled with 2-3 recessives - 6-8k
  • Spotted dominant, one other doubled, 1-2+ recessives - 6-8k
  • Silver carriers, one doubled and 1-2 recessives - 6-8k
  • Gene combo - 10k
  • Gene combo, 2+ recessives - 12-14k
  • Silver dominant, 2+ recessives - 8-12k
  • Silver dominant, one other doubled, 2+ recessives - 15k+
  • Silver dominant, two other doubled - wtfbbq plz pst. 30k+

Please note that if you have a pet that you're not willing to sell that fits these criteria, I will pay approximately 25-50% of the listed prices listed above to breed with them. If I missed anything and something fell through the cracks, please feel free to send me a PM and we can work out the pricing from there.

Also, if you have a pet that you feel is worth looking at that doesn't quite meet my preferences on this ad, do not hesitate to PM me. It's very hard to set hard and fast rules when it comes to pet quality, and I'm welcome to being surprised.

I have this guy: http://beastkeeper.com/pet/27275

Who has Counterstrike, no bad genes, and some great recessives. I don't think I'd be willing to sell him, but I guess if you ever thought you had a fitting female for him, I'd let you breed with him? (Or I coud try to breed another one like him and come back here haha.)

Otherwise, if Frostbite is for sale, how much would you want for her?

As usual Zenith, I shall keep an esurient eye-out in the wilds and the pound for suitable Cockatrices, and would be very happy to gift them over to you, providing one covers the potential food-related costs of taming them, which currently stands at about 54 tokenesque silver coins.

@Emmie1977 - I think I can whip up a male for her to breed with. PM'd

@thestillpoint - Taking it to PM.

@Topaz - Sorry, not interested in the fellow. I can tell he likely suffers from a weak jaw and fragile bones, without any research invested into him I can't see if he has any worthwhile recessives.

http://beastkeeper.com/pet/6941 Female, no red genes, some rather nice recessives.
http://beastkeeper.com/pet/23154 Unresearched female, two green genes. Has both parents fully researched, so you'll be able to guess at some of the genes.
http://beastkeeper.com/pet/16824 Male, one green gene, with diluted in both dominant and recessive. No bad dominant genes, some good recessives, as well as some not-so-wonderful recessives, but they shouldn't be too bad to breed out.

@Lassie - Those are some good cockatrice, but unfortunately don't really pique my interest. Steel bones, sharp claws, venomous skin, etc are good recessives, but aren't traits I'm actually looking for.

They don't have 4 or more of the genes that you're looking for but they have quite a bit and no negative stats? XD

I would like at least 2k for them if you decide to buy them. I want the money back from researching them. :P

@Ryaira - how much are you asking for Romeo? He has three genes I'm looking for, with a bunch unresearched. His father is a good stud, if prolific, have to be careful breeding him with so many related offspring.

@Piney - Your green male (#35946) is kind of interesting, I'll consider him.

Right now I'm running nearly a 2:1 ratio of male to female and don't have many cockatrice with spitting muscles, agile paws and especially light bones.

I have these guys right now, I think they are up to your standard.http://beastkeeper.com/pet/39082
http://beastkeeper.com/pet/41274

And this one. Has venomous skin instead of stench but since it's genetic power is lower she can still be used to breed stinky babies.
