Hm, I just noticed that the list of items etelias can't use only mentions yellow fish eggs not the pink ones. I hope that's deliberate and not a mistake.

Also, since etelias start at lvl 1, I wonder if that means they can be GP if fully leveled before breeding. For that matter how are the genes determined when breeding? Is it random each time or do the parent genes matter?

Found a snowflake on level 11. 
But I can't seem to defeat those Etelias.  I'm stuck, and will probably have to just leave and start over. 

Anyone else having really poor luck finding green portals using Amor?
I haven't been able to get her above level 5.  Quite annoying, as she really kicks monster aft.  

It seems I've been having better luck than most people with this event which surprises me considering how it feels like I'm doing terrible XD My Carpos have been stuck on islands for hours in order to restore energy just for it to be wasted when the Etelias repeatedly one-shot them. Although I have had some success; I used 20 Crystalline Ice to make my own Carpo, let a friend borrow 9, 1 is currently up for auction, and I still have 20. I'll need 40 come the beginning of February but, once I reach that amount, I can explore to get them for others in bulk rather than just selling one here and there.

So far I've gotten 23 ice using the better G3s from my watchflock. I'd possibly have better luck in battles using my various regen pets like last year but I consider it a decent trade off since I have yet to use any energy flow cards when normally I'd have gone through several hundred by now.

I'm starting to get a little bit pissed of with this event :/

7 pets went from levels 8-12, no etelias and then no green portals...

Then when I finally find the etelia they are sooooooo hard to beat up that all my pets loose all the energy... I'm stuck now with no granite, no portal cells and no cristaline ices (have only 7).

THIS EVENT IS WAAY TO HARD, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ABOUT IT!!!!!!

It would be a lot better if we needed only 10 cristaline ices, but 20, except you 2, it seems no one else can get them....

that should tell everything to the game developer to change something!!!

I've found that some Etelia are much more difficult than others. For whatever reason, this kind  never seems to use any abilites but Ice Breath, so it's a simple matter of Rushing it to death. This kind,  on the other hand, also uses Silent Pace and Blizzard a lot, and I don't think I've ever beaten one.

Exactly how high do the levels go? I got to 22 then there wasnt a portal to continue. Do they continuously scale to infinate levels, the monsters becoming ever stronger, or is there a pre-determined stopping point?

Nope. There is no end. But no one is going to get that far with all the dead ends.

My Doom Drake is trying to get to level 12, but the monsters keep defeating him in two moves or less... :\

High-level content? :) It was claimed to be like this by devs. Judging by MMO games that I play a lot more than BK, high-level content is something designed for players who maxed out their game progress already and don't have any other challenges left. So it should be feasible only by those players, not by everyone. I suppose that in terms of BK this means a bunch of max level GP3 pets with a few successful builds for different situations, and a set of certain kamis (does this word have a plural form?) to deal with situations where regular pets will fail. Or a lot of good friends who can lend you several good explorers :)

I have problems fighting Etelias too. I have some good pets but they are all for Battlefield. I don't have anything against strong elemental attacks with immunity to controls, but with some luck and waiting I beat about half of Etelias that I encounter. It's a slow paced event, I don't think that we are supposed to breed our first Etelia more than once this year. There's not enough time for this even if to get and activate the snowflake on the first day of event. So we have a little less than a full month to activate it in order to get enough time for maturing and breeding.

The 2nd one seems to have a 2-2-5 / 3-1-5 attack sequence, so your best bet is attacking it with blow.

Also, I noticed the rabbit/hopper look-a-like has a similar sequence as the 1st one, so most likely 5-2-2 / 5-3-1

Anyways, darn am I starting to regret selling on of my cockatrices now; could have bred a Resistant Cockatrice

well I do have good pets (not perfect), kamis, GP3 unis with regen and resistance and other, GP3 fire/counterstrike dragons and still have problems with beating them, and the bigger problem is I can't find them... So I'm just loosing my portal cells and getting to dead ends on lvl 9-12 usually, with no etelias...

so I'm decideing on a different tactic, anyone who has extra crystaline ice, I'll trade for expand stable scrolls :)

I don't think this is too hard, I think it's lot of challence but we have plenty of time so wonders can happen if one is patient :)

My tactic is play some of my best beasts and if they stuck with some monster, just let them rest and try again, over time they have been able to beat their opponents. I don't use too much time since I don't have it, but about one ot two hours/day since the begging I've got 6 crystallines and over 200 snow. Still searching my snowflake. I'm pretty sure that I'll find it eventually :)

I've just found the snowflake on level 9 with my Shantak!

I need 7 more crystallized ice and then I think I have everything I need :D
