Okay. These are the "diaries" of my beloved cat Patch. And I really don't want to say it, but I have to just in case. She is getting really old, and could die within five years or only several months. So if sometime she does die, I have two other cats, but expect me not to update... D_;

Anyway, after I complete diares of her past, I will begin to write diaries of her everyday life nowadays!

I will also add a poll once we get into her life a bit more!

Dear Diary,

Today was eventful! I made a new friend! It all started in the late afternoon.

That morning, one of my owners, the male, and their youngest kit left. I didn't care, they do that a lot. It was when they came back that I cared.

In their paws was a cat! He was barely more than a kitten, and his blue eyes looked at me with curiosity. His pelt was silver with thin black stripes, with a white muzzle and paws. And he had the cutest pink nose!

The humans put him down, and we talked for a while. He was really nice, and cute, and we instantly became friends. The humans named him Moose. He kept asking me what a moose was, and if it was an insult, or a compliment, but to be honest, I don't know either, so I kept quiet.

He kept wanting me to play, but as you know, I'm not one who plays much anymore. So I let him swat at my tail, occasionally flicking it in both frustration, and amusement.

Dear Diary,

It has been a while since the humans first got Moose. We were the best of friends! Were...

The humans took Moose away, like they do every cat, and not only did he change in that way, but he also changed in smell and personality. Okay, that's normal. But not like this.

He started attacking me. And yes, cats do that when they come back, but after all, I was his best friend! Maybe he thought it was my fault for letting them take him...

My old friend Zeus never did that. Of course, he never left. Well, not like that. Ah, I will always remember the times we shared. I still remember how he died...

All the humans were leaving, like they occasionally did. They left another human, smelling similar to the human mother. I supposed they were sisters.

What she didn't know, was that we only stayed inside. She let Zeus out for a walk, a-and he was...he walked onto the road...

It was like slow motion, even though it was quick. The large green machine flew past. I yowled, and so did the human.

I grieved for days. I sulked around, and then the humans brought themselves, and me, to a new home. After that, I adjusted to a lonely life.

I will never let that happen to Moose. I don't care if he's changed. No one shall harm him as long as I live.

Dear Diary,

Today I have even more news! We have more cats! I don't now where they're all coming from, but it's weird. I'm going to be overrun!

I'm trying my best to stay away, 'cause this is getting weird in a creepy way. What's wrong with these humans?!

The next three kittens were a calico named Cleo, she looked kind of like me as a kit, another calico named Bandit, who occasionally walked sideways... O_O ...and Precious, who was white with light gray tabby patches. She was definetly the cutest, but I still kept my distance.

A few weeks later, we got a very skittish cat named Phantom. I felt bad for her. She came from the same place as the others, a small house where my humans occasionally visited. She told me there were lots of other cats, and that they used to all be wild. Then our humans took Phantom away from her parents. The poor thing!

Phantom and I actually got to know each other, but all the kittens were being taken care of by Moose. He acted just like a mother, watching over them and giving them baths. At least it's not me!

Dear Diary,

Today the humans gave away Cleo, Bandit, and Precious. I'm not that worried, but Moose was sad for quite a while.

He got used to it, just like I had when Zeus left. But now his bond with Phantom grew stronger.

Phantom is actually a really good friend! She keeps both of us company, and actually gets us to sit together again. To be honest, I miss Moose as a friend.

I forgot to say before, Phantom is all black, except for a splash of white on her chest. She has greenish/amber eyes, and is extremely skittish around the humans. I can see why, though.

Dear Diary,

Today was tragic. I was minding my own business, and staring out the large window when Moose came up to me, with a worried look on his face. I frowned, something was clearly wrong.

“Phantom jumped out the window downstairs!” he meowed frantically.

“What? Is she okay?”

“The grass was right there. The human trapped her on accident, and she ran to the window, and the wire screen popped out!”

“So we don't know where she is?”

“No, the humans left the window open so she would come back, but...”

I rested my tail on top of his, trying to comfort him. He'd lost his best friend. “Don't worry, she'll find her way back. She's a smart cat.”

Moose meowed sadly, then padded underneath the pool table that sat in the middle of the enormous room, and fell asleep.

I really do hope Phantom is okay.

Dear Diary,

Moose has been looking all over for Phantom. He hasn't even checked outside. I think it's starting to get to him.

Then I heard a scratching. I quickly ran to the room where Phantom escaped, and I saw her at the window, eating some cat food that the humans left out for her.

“Phantom!” I purred.

“Patch? Are the humans mad at me?” Phantom looked scared, wide eyed, and her fur was fluffed out.

“Phantom, it's alright. They really miss you, especially Moose. They all have been waiting for you to come back. Even the humans!”

Phantom tilted her head. “I like the outdoors. It feels like home.”

Patch's words were caught in her throat. She's not coming back because she misses home...

“Well, promise me you'll be back eventually?” Patch asked. “For Moose?”

Phantom nodded, then took one last bite, and ran away.

Dear Diary,

Phantom came back! She's staying! Phantom and Moose had a heartbreaking reunion, and I sat aside, to let them have their space.

I'm glad she's back. She had a couple stories to tell. Most of the, were expected. I'm just happy she's back.

The humans are happy too. They're trying to get her to come closer more than normal, haha. It's amusing how they try to act like cats to get her to come. Don't they realize that lumbering around on your knees doesn't help?

Dear Diary,

I think I'm beginning to understand some human language! They go to something called school every day. And I also found out that when they show their teeth, they're actually happy! Can you believe that? The only problem will be trying to tell Phantom that...

And my favorite human, I learned her name was Abby, has perfected her meow! She can speak cat as clear as day now. She sounds like a proper cat. Except...she still doesn't know what she's saying.

How old is Patches?

Even though there is no even ratio between cat and human years, I found out a way to tell about 2 years ago.

In human years, Patch would be in her late 60's.

Edit: Although in this part of the story, she'd probably be around her early 50's.

Moose would be 10-12, and now he's somewhere in his 20's

Edit Edit, lol: I am twelve now, was ten when we got Moose, and was about three when Zeus died. I was told about his death by my older sister, who was told by my aunt, who was taking care of them.

Oh. Just thinking about how old my cats are.

How old are they now? I might be able to make a ratio and figure out how old they'd be as humans...if you want.

Edit: I found out my first assumption was wrong, she's in her late 70's, early 80's. But that's because I calculated it last 2 years ago, so...

Just so you know, this is all a true story!

Well, 2 of my cats are around 17 in human years, 1 of them is 4 in human years, and the last I have no idea how old she is.

(Also, I'm pretty sure you meant 70 in cat years because it's pretty much impossible for a cat to be even 30 or 35 in human years.)

Edit: Also, really wanting to know if Phantom comes back here.... When my black cat, Sally ran away she came back, but she had been a stray and she knew how to climb trees and all of that other stuff.
