They'll be surprised, and then underestimate us.”

Name: Mossheart

I was relieved as Dewstar came out and started organizing all the cats. I rarely went into moods like that and hated myself for losing control, expecialy in front of an apperantince because she was young and also because I would like to train one myself in the future. I watched in awe at the natural way our leader calmed the clan with a few words and effortlessly rousted them for battle without a hint of worry or anger in her meow. By the love of Starclan, I hoped that one day I'd be as slef controled as her and, if I was deserving, the leader of the clan. I could never be as great as Dewstar I told myself, but I can learn from her!

For some reason she didn't call me for the battle tactics meeting. I hoped I wasn't in trouble for my swearing spree. I had picked up some very colorful language because, as an apperatince, I had spent a lot of time in the elder's den listening to Smallnose's fabled stories. They interested me and he liked me because, unlike the other young-uns, I never interupted.

I was jolted out of my day-dreaming as Dewstar strolled up. I baced myself for a telling-off, but she only said something about back-up and suprising the enemy. To hide my suprise, I meowed "To get things straight, am I staying and gaurding camp or going into the battle?

I proudly paced around camp while being alert and keeping track of the elders and kits, but mostly the kits. Dewstar trusted me enough to leave me to protect the camp alone and I was going to do a good job of it! Pacing back and forth, my sharp green eyes kept track of all movement in camp.

Echokit isn't his sister, Mossy. It's someone else's role play character.Tumblekit and Smallnose are also mine, unless you claim them, and Crowcall does what I say he does, he is an LC character. He is currently at the Hunters Clearing.

You've made a lot of mistakes, just a warning. I would consider deleting that post, or editing it in some way.

Tumblekit bounced around camp. “This is so fun!” he squealed. He paused as the bramble entrance shuddered, and a black she-cat ran in.

“Intruder!” he screeched, his fur fluffed up. “Mossheart! Mossheart, Mossheart-”

“Shh,” the she-cat meowed. “I'm just here to see if your medicine cat is here. I need herbs for the battle, I'm sure she'll understand,” she meowed quickly.

As I checked the south side of camp, I heard a faint screaching noise. "Was that Tumblekit?" I thought nervously. "Well, he's always messing around like that no need to hurry," But as circled toward the north, the camp entrance, I relised he was screaching "Intruder! Mossheart!" My ears flattened and my short gray fur stood on end as I raced toward the noise, which had suddenly stopped. I got a hold of my self, and melted into the brambles, placing my feet down as quietly as I could. I started to growl softly at the black she-cat, who was lieing to the gulible kit and in my anger, I stepped on a twig which made a loud "snap!"

Daisyleaf poked her head out. “Did someone say my name?” Daisyleaf purred at the sight of Nightsong.

“How's Scarletflame? Is his cough getting better?” Daisyleaf meowed as she padded over.

“Hes great, but that's not important!” Nightsong meowed hurriedly.

“Oh, right,” Daisyleaf meowed. “The battle. I have herbs in my den. I can help you carry them. You should probably bring marigold, comfrey, maybe some dock and horsetail...” Her voice trailed off as they entered her den.

"Oh! It's the Shadeclan medicine cat!" I thought, "But why is she over here asking for herbs to help their clan in battle against us?" As I got up from my salking position, I shook my fur out, to get Nightsong's attention  and to cover up the fact that I was as bristley as a hedgehog. I walked over, tail twitching dangerously, and asked politly "Excuse me Nightsong, it's good to see you. Because I am in charge of this camp, can you please state your business here?"

I bowed my head respectfuly to the medicine cats. "Sorry about my noseyness," I looked at Nightsong as I said this and then my gaze switched to Daisyleaf. "And I think I understand, Daisyleaf. Medicine cats are the glue that keeps the clans together, without them, the hostile warriors would drive each other out of the forest and 4 clans could become 1." I shuffled my paws like a nervous kit and looked back at our knowledgeable medicine cat. "Is there anything else?"

“Yes Mossheart. We are going to bring the herbs to the battle. I doubt the kits will get hurt seriously, but in case they do...” Daisyleaf went on to list a few minor herbs and what they do. “I'm sure you can remember five, right?”

“Daisyleaf!” Night song hissed. “We need to go!”

Daisyleaf and Nighttsong soon arrived at the battle scene. Daisyleaf instantly ran to Swiftstrike, who was limping.

“Here,” she ordered. “You need-”

“I'm fine,” he growled, limping away. Daisyleaf watched as he left with a distressed look on her face. “No ones listening!”

As I watched the 2 brave medicine cats trotted off toward the battle scene I called "Good luck and may Starclan light your path!" I watched until they quickly vanished into the tangled brambles and then turned back to watching the kits. While I kept track of the warriors-to-be, in my head I recited, poppy seeds for sleep and pain relieve, marigold for cuts and scrapes, blackberry leaves for bee stings, dandelion leaves for calming, juniper berries for... what was it? ... I remember! for bellyaches.

Tumblekit saw his chance when Mossheart turned around. He slipped into the apprentices den, and out of sight. He quickly found his secret exit and sneaked through.

Once on the other side, he breathed the fresh air, and went on his way. He was quite a ways from camp when an odd, icky scent hit his nose. Fox! he thought.

He quickly backed into the abandoned Twoleg den.
