Someone help!

i have a level 50 uni that does rally well in event but she has a tough time with the etalias any ideas?

My unis have similar genes, and they struggle with etelias too, so here goes:

Magic horn will not work, as etelias have Ice Heart which is immune to blind attacks.

Regeneration only gives you a small amount of hitpoints back each turn. Etelias can easily hit you for between 300 and 480 or so damage at once. They're mean that way.

You don't really have anything that gives you a good attack, like acid spit or fire breath or ice breath.

You have excellent dodge with Fragrance and Gracefulness, but no counterstrike, and even if you had counterstrike you'd use it less than you think...

So in general I had better luck with my unicorn that had homozygous Determined, Magic mirror and Solid horn. But even my acid spit  Drake lost on level nine to all the guardians, with auto-critical hits all the time. If your kamis are useless, then it shows you how tough these icebeasts have been, and I've had better luck beating etelias with my Ice breath lykos than I've had defeating guardians on the higher levels (8-10 and above), as the guardians often have elemental resistance. Leading to me yelling "Stop using countermove!!!" at the screen a lot :(

Really? My Doom Drake got to level 18, and would've gotten further if there was a portal.

It wouldn't have made it past level 3 if it weren't for the Acid Spit, so that is a good thing to have.

So then, I have some answers to questions that popped up before about breeding Etelia!

1) Leveling the Etelia to lvl 50 does not produce GP gen 2 Etelia.

2) There is no chance to use Pink Fish Eggs, as was speculated at one point due to them not being included in the items that can't be used. The 'breeding' is instantaneous and you recieve the two Pristine Snowflakes right away.

I have two Black Etelia! Be jealous :P I didn't get the pose I wanted but they still look cool.

So, the original Etelia is removed from your list of bred pets when it disappears? That's disappointing, since I'd established a naming system for mine as a triad. 

Silviianel, they're lovely :) How do you know which shape they'll grow into?

And how do you find out how many etelia are in the game as a whole?

I love the one on the left especially. The one on the right looks vaguely insectoid, I can't think why. Two black! There's hope for me, then.

The answer to both of those questions is the Ajax-Pet-Search, a premium feature that you access by clicking on the 'Search' Button at the top right of the page; you can see it under 'Help.' I mean literally under it, not one of the tabs in that section XD From there you click 'Search Pets' and the [+] can be clicked for the extended search parameters.
In Ajax, the images show up in the adult forms. There are currently 51 Etelia.

The insectoid one gives off that impression due to its prayer mantis-like appendages and bulbous eyes.

Ah, so it's not a feature that I'm failing to find out of pure noobishness, then ^_^

I like my etelia, the stag-like morph. But I'm definitely breeding it. I'm hoping for a black one! ^_^

There is hope for you yet, dear arete. If you go to a player's profile, click on the link called "Pets bred by ...", it will show only their adult forms, even if they are still growing up; it is not a premium feature. I never had premium, but it works for me as well, so I am able to see today, how will my etelia look like, once it grows up tomorrow.

Poe, all users start out with a Premium account that lasts for 2 weeks when you join, so everyone has had Premium at one point in time. Having the premium features available when joining helps the game to not seem so daunting when starting out so you can get your feet under you. Since the features are mostly to help save time it is convenient to have them but, when the Premium ends, it isn't the end of the world :P

I did not take the initial start-up premium into account here, so I consider myself being ever non-premium average user. As for the feature itself I only wanted to say that, it is not an exclusive one for premium users only.

What's going on with Tundra lately? From yesterday I haven't seen even one etelias, also all Island is visible. It's a bug or something?

Travelling Magician in your Inn makes the whole map visible. As far as etelias go, I've caught a couple (and been defeated by one) in the past two days, so maybe it's just bad luck...?
