"Thank you," she said bringher head around to rest on Frost's wing, "You don't know how much you two mean to me."

Goldenscale sat up, confused by what Frost said.  She looked between the two of them, unable to form a question in her confusion.

Frost smiles but still has a bluxh like color. "Goldenscale whats wrong?"

She pointed at both of them, her confusion still shown.

"we are going to be one." he said looking at her.

"All we need to make it official is to sign a few papers saying we're together. After that's all cleared, all three of us can go to the orphanage to get papers  to adopt you," she said smiling still, "Then we can say we're a family and no one can say otherwise."

He confusion left.  "OK.  I get it now."  She then blinked when she thought about the second sentence.  "Wait, adoption a-as in, like, permanent adoption?" she asked quietly, her other families coming to mind.  She didn't keep a family for more than a couple of years. Permanent adoption had no meaning to her anymore.

"Yes your going to be our little girl. If you want us to be. You have a choice you know." Frost said looking to her.

She smiled wide and nodded.  She was finally going to have a family.  She purred in pure happiness.

"I will always keep my promises, even if they're made to another species. I said I'd find you a family that would not trade you off, one with a mother figure. That's exactly what I did," she said, "No matter what happens, you will be our little girl. Even if we decide to have a child of our own making."

"I'm finally going to have a mom and a dad!" she said bouncing around.  

"And I have a reason to stay again," she said watching Goldenscale bouce about, "Now none of us have to be alone."

"Yay!" she said, running over to them and curling up between them.  She began to purr.

"haha," Frost can only laugh at the sight he is seeing.

Goldenscale had forgotten about the storm completely until she heard a particularly loud boom of thunder.  She ran and jumped under the bed.  "The sky is very angry..." she whispered.
