"I'll meet you all there in a little while. I need to drop off some materials at the smith so he can make a holder for me," he said, shifting the strap of a bag, "It may be late, but we can still celebrate Ece's birthday."

"We can.  What do you wnt for your birthday?" she asked her.

"I don't know. No one has ever wanted to give me anything since Mama gave me her pearl," Ece said, holding tight to her jewel, "I'm happy just having people who care about me."

"That's always a wonderful thing." she said.

"I guess a new bag would be nice. My old one is starting to fall apart," she said, sitting on Ahnah's head, "It would be nice."

"Alright.  Any designs you want on it?" she asked.

"Not really, I just want something sturdy to keep my pearl in. The bag I have now is made of old leaves I picked form my old home," she said, pulling the pearl bag around to she the fraying edges, "It took me forever to make it, but I believe it is time for a better bag."

"Do you want me to make it out of faric or out of leaves, like before?"

"I want it made of something that will last. I don't know what kind of fabrics there are since I've always been afraid to enter communities because of that red person," she said, flying over to Goldenscale as they reached Mayumi's, "I'm so glad his presence is no longer haunting me. I could feel it even when I was so far away."

"He was a horrible creature.  I'm glad I as able to protect you from him." she said as she nuzzled Ece and knowcked on Mayumi's door.

"He was a horrible person, and he did horrible things. He is gone now, and that is all that matters now," she said, returning the gesture then lifting her head and taking a deep breath, "I smell blood."

"Come on in, I'm just giving them a bath," Mayumi called from inside, "If you see anything knocked over, don't worry. I just had a little scuffle with one of the old council members. He wont be bothering me again. Not for a long time at least."

"What!  You should have called me or somthing!  Did he hurt you very much?" she said as she came inside and went over to Mayumi, a worried look on her face.

"He is no match for a flarion at full power. If he hurt me, it would only be a few feathers being missing. The blood you smell is his," Mayumi said, pouring a little water over each hatchling as they played, "He tried to harm me, and got both wings and a leg broken. He will have to heal the natural way since I will be excersising my right to refuse service wiith him."

She sighed.  "Who was it that did this?" she said quietly.

"It does not matter now, he has been taught his lesson," she said, starting to lift the hatchlings out of the water to dry them, "He knows better than to try fighting me again after such a failure on his part. Even if he was to come back and face me again, he would only be outmatched again."
