A couple hours later, a teacher came in with the twins, one covered in buises and cuts, the other mostly unharmed but being carried against their will. "And I thought couldn't get eny more violent," she said strugling with the twin she was holding.

Goldenscale ran over, grabbing the twin with the cuts and bruises.  "What happened?  Why did you fight?" shes asked with urgency as she set the twin down on the table and began to was the cuts out.  "Fight will do nothing but bring pain to you and those around you." she said sternly.

"She was beating up one of my friends. They would have ended up like me as I am now if I didn't stop Sis," the twin being washed said between deep breaths, "I did what I could to distract her so that they could get away."

Goldenscale gasped.  "I'm sorry little one.". She finished bandaging the little one and glared at the girl.  "Do you really think fighting will solve your problems. Look at me, I fought and all it did was harm me.  But we fought for different reasons."  She sighed.  "You fought because you were angry, but I fought because I wanted to protect.  If I am missing something, please fill me in.  I want to figure out why you are so angry." she said gently.  "I am trying to understand, but I'm inexperienced in the way of the dragons.  Help me to understand your ways better so that I could know why." she said as she walked over to the girl and kneled, putting her hands join her shoulders.

"Why shoul I tell you anything? I have no reason to justify myself," she said with a sneer, but quickly stopped as Tieral reached into her mind. "She was in my way," she said after looking back to the door the back to Goldenscale.

"If she was in your way and your brother tried to protect her, then why did you continue to hurt your own brother?  You should care more for him than her." she said.  She then got up with a grunt.  "Come, there's something I want to show you." she said.  She then started towards the door. It paused at the entrance.

"What could you possibly show me that's so important," she asked getting free of the teacher and fallowing Goldenscale.

Goldenscale walked towards the willow.  "She is who I wanted you to meet." she said.  She made the same humming noise to greet the willow.  The willow seemed to come to life.  *So, you are the child that makes so much trouble for everyone.* she projected in to everyone's mind.

"OK, it's just a willow. I don't get what's so special about it, mind tricks aside," she said looking up to the willow, unaware ofwhat the willow projected.

"Can you hear me now, child." she said out loud.  She rarely did this unless it was needed.  "I am the willow tree.  Speak your name.  I don't not like addressing others without the use of their proper name." she said.  She brushed her leaves along Goldenscale's head lovingly, to show they knew each other well.  "It would be a good idea to address her, little one.  Trees don't speak out loud very often." Goldenscale said.  The tree's leaves seemed to rustle even without the wind.

"My name is Tinna Locke," she said watching carefuly as the willow moved.

"Well, Tinna, it seems to me that your soul is troubled.  Could you tell me why?  I could send Goldenscale away if you don't want her to know." she said in a gently voice.

"It's Mom and Dad. Dad is always too busy with the council to come home, and Mom has been ill for years. The medecine she's taking seems to keep it from getting worse, but doesn't make it any better either," Tinna said quietly as she sat down.

Goldenscale went down on her haunches and hugged Tinna.  "I heard from your brother that your father never comes home, so I'm trying to see if I can change that.  As for your mother, could you take me to her.  I know some healing tricks that might make her better." she said quietly.

"It's something in her lungs. Mayumi did everything she could to keep it from getting worse. Everything else just doesn't seem to work, magic or not," Tinna said leaning into Goldenscale.
