"There are too many issues that go on here.  That needs to change." she said as she got up and stretched without trying to make her wounds bleed again.  She then started to walk inside.

"They use the term issue to cover anything that needs their attention, like the distribution of supplies or local home expansions. The real issue is that most of the council is easy to bribe into voting one way or another," Mayumi said starting to walk to the council building, "Some of them need to be replaced while others just need to be reminded of their true duty as a council member."

"So I need to give a speech reminding them, only acting as though I'm making sure I have it right." she said with a smile.

"That would work for some of them, but some of the older members need to be replaced. They hold tightly to the old ways and refuse the changes that need to be made for this place to prosper," Maumi said nodding, "Convincing them of that will be harder than reminding them of their duty."

(Before I forget, I won't be on during the day tomorrow, but I will be on tomorrow night.  I'm not sure if I told you this already.

"I can do it.  But I'll keep that in mind.

When they got inside the council building the council member at the front deak perked up. "Good evening Miss Goldenscale. nice of you to join us for the evening. We don't have many issues today," he said when he saw Goldenscale, "Mostly, they deal with the overall protection of the cave this time around."

Frost awoke and went to look for somethings to fix for lunch.

"Alright, thank you for the information." she said.  She then walked into the meeting room.  "I'm just going to say now, I'm a bit tired and I'd like to rest sometime soon.  If I fall asleep anytime, feel free to wake me up" she said as a header to everyone.

"We heard what happened from the enforcers. The public had seen a good bit of the fight as well, they're very pleased to see their trust is in good hands," one of the council members said. "Now is a good time to mention that you can bring up anything you think needs our attention. We're not restricted to just thos submited by the people. Since these afternoon meetings are more public, go ahead and choose who you'll be sitting by," he said handing Goldenscale the yellow cushion she used earleir that morning.

"I think I'll just stand.  I'm afraid that if I sit, I may not get back up again." she said.

"Very well, it's not required for any of us to sit," he said giving Goldenscale a nod, "Our first issues of the night is about improving the cave's barrier and patroles, to prevent things like today's events from happening again."

"Barriers will not prevent creatures like those from coming, it will only slow them down.  I managed to keep them back with that thick wall of rock, but it is magic consuming.  Even though I can store more magic than the average dragon, it still requires a lot of energy and magic to keep something like that fully operational.  What we need to do is have a sentry that goes through the boundary in search of creatures that might harm us.  We then need to train those sentries to be the fastest runner, flier, or whatever in order to reach us before then.  If we were to go with this idea, I'd be glad to train them.  I know how to be fast because of my training with all of those creatures.  We also need to train as many magic users as possible to use as many nature-related spells as possible.  Such as moving earth, communicating with trees, creating vines to hold down enemies and so on.  But it is your decision on this." she said.  The first thing she would have to do before she trained the magic uses and sentries would be healing herself.

"The barrier we have can only be permanantly harmed by magic due to the magic we lace into the snow.Normaly, we don't have to worry about attacks like that, but since one human has found us more will surly try to capture us. These kind of attacks may start becoming common, and snow won't be enough to hold them off," he said, "You have a good plan. It may be worth training them to communicate with their minds as well just incase they get caught. The training can start tomarow, but we'll have to wait for spring to come around to start searching for better materials to make a barrier out of."

"I can begin searching tomorrow.  I have connections to finding the materials needed aif I don't know what it is.  But tell me what it is first." then it dawned on her that the elders might not know why she wants to help out so much, but if they asked, she'll tell them.  "I'll begin training tomorrow, then tomorrow night or evening, I will go in search of this better material." she said with a smile.

"Concidering your injuries, it would be best that you rest tomarow. If you can catch Mayumi before she leaves, she might have something to put on them to help the healing," he said, "You're building quite the reputation with all the help you've provided in the past two days. First Frost, then this. You even offer to start training of new sentries tomarow. Are you trying to prove your worth, or prove something to yourself?"
