""Just wait for their first full coat of feathers to come in. Not only are the feathers more protective than normal feathers, they're also a lot softer and eaiser to fluff out. The coat will gow in over the rest of the day and over the night," she said with a smile and a laugh, "They'll retain the coat for quite some time before being able to retain their own heat."

"Heat is something you need to live..." she said with another sigh.  How much more would she stand out in her family now?  She laughed.  'I'm the black sheep here...' she thought with a chuckle.

"Do you remember how young you were when you were attacked? If it was before you could properly develope heat retaining bilities I might be able to help make it less of a problem or even eliminate the problem," she said, plucking some loose feathers from her wings and tucking them into the nest, "If it happened early enough, I might be able to make a potion to reactivate the hormones needed. If it was beyond the fourth year of life, there is nothing I can do aside from wishing and hoping they come true."

"It was a year after I hatched.  But there is nothing you can do to fix it.  I am disfunctional..." she said quietly with a frown.

"If you don't want me to help, tell me so, but don't put yourself down. You're only hurting yourself doing that," she said, turning to Goldenscale, "You are my daughter and I want to help in any way I can, but you must be the one to tell me when you've had enough. Telling me something can't be done will only make me want to try harder. If you don't want help, just say so."

"No, but I am disfunctional.  Without the forest's magic, I would surely die.  When that...creature... attacked me, he left me a broken hatchling.  He broke my spine, fractured my skull and mauled my arm to the point where I'd never be able to use it again.  If that flower were to die, I would die with it.  First I would loose the ability to walk, then it would get harder to breath, then finally my body would shut down.  I am nothing without magic." she explained.  Hatred for her attacker had crept into her voice as she spoke.  But she was able to calm down quickly.  "There is nothing that can be done for me."

"That is where you are wrong. There is something that can be done, but I would need help from nature. Only the spirits of nature can give me the materials I need to repair such damage," she said, breathing a small flame that formed into a small sprite, "It would take me quite a bit more time to repaire the damage, but it is possible."

She laughed coldly.  "How?  I am broken beyond repair..." she said as she got up.  "I'm going for a run.  I need to clear my head of all this negativity."

"If you must. I'm sure Konoki and Dara are still at the training grounds since the day is still young," she said with a nod, "Take as much time as you need."

"Is everything alright," Ahnah asked, fallowing Goldenscale, "I'm guessing it has something to do with your past."

"I am a disfunctional creature without magic." she stated simply.

"You put yourself down, even though you have so many years ahead of you," she said, looking to the ground and shaking her head, "You'd think that in being given a second chance, you would have more hope than this."

"I do have hope, more than anything, except happiness and love.  But I speak the truth." she said as she reached the grounds.  "I'm back, Konoki." she said.

"Have faith in Mayumi. She has a link with nature similar to you, yours is just stronger and connect in a different way," she said. "I might stick around and see what I can learn," she said, sitting down at the edge of the croud of students, "I might learn something useful."
