"My point, I don't want anything happening to them that I can prevent. I want them tlive long enough to have lives of their own," she said, carefully picking Gian up and slowly rocking him, "I want them to all be here when you return."

"If you're worried about the barrier you had set up for the forest, I can take resposibility for it. Now that the cave is regaining faith in nature, several things I couldn't do are becoming possible," she said, taking a bottle of water and pouring some out.  Holding out a paw over the water on the floor, the liquid began gathering into a ball as Mayumi formed a barier to hold it, "By the time you leave, I will have regain enough mental strength to hold the barrier myself. So long as it is protecting nature and the faith in it, I will be able to continue to hold it until I die."

"You underestimate what you do not fully understand. I will be able to hold the barrier, and continue with my dayly life without any problems. Along side our vital fire, flarions are well known for protecting patches of untainted nature, be it with force or magic. It would only become a problem for me if I had to cover multiple forests at once," she said, setting Gian back on his pillow and grabbing a bag of sand, "Wiith the forest spirits helping, i would have even less of a burden."

"But you already have to take care of them.  I can't possibly burden you with taking care of a forest with a several mile radius as well.  Moonliht will do just fine and Willow said she would take care of it as well..." she said with a frown.

"Trust me, I'll be able to handle myself. Protecting a forest from Mirajin is a lot more draining the what this forest is needing protection from. If anything, it will give me something to think about other than your father in my spare time," she said, pouring the sand over the captured water, forming a mold in the shape of a bottle, "I'm not saying the willow and Moonlight can't help, I'm just saying I want to do this. It would be for a better state of mind for me."

"Don't go crazy on me then...I might not make it in time to help." she said quietly.  She already had one problem and she didn't want Mayumi to have to deal with the same things she did.  "And try to stay out of trouble.  There shouldn't be any, but just in case..."  She sighed.

Mayumi chuckled. "I'm the one that's supposed to be saying that kind of thing," she said before setting the mold a blaze, "Just promise me you'l try your best to be safe. I do want you to return."

"So long as you believe in yourself, you will succeed. Just don't get yourself hurt," she said, putting the mold out to reveal a new bottle, "All of who will remain here will wish you the best of luck. I'll even make sure your siblings here know you will be back, no matter what."

"They seem to think so," she said gathering up the hatchlings and setting them back in the nest, using the blanket Frost had made to cover them, "To think, we were all that small at one point."
