"I wouldn't call loosing it a good home. I've never been able to keep up with such things. The only things smaller than a hatchling that I've been able to keep up with are this bone, and this crystal necklace," she sad, holding both the topaz necklace and her bone, "Niether have left my person since I got them, not even for a minute."

"But how do you know you'll loose it?" she said.

"Over the years, I've had many toys about that size. All of them bur one I have lost. The one I didn't loose was taken by my father and destroyed for beeing too girlish for him," she said, a single tear formed in her eye before she wiped it away, "It isn'r just toys though. Just about anything smaller than a hatchling that i have owned, I have lost."

"You still should have this.  This isn't your normal toy as you said.  So you may not loose it." she said.

"If you insist. I will try to keep track of it, but I can't make any promises," she said,taking the toy and tucking it into her satchel.

"There you are Ms. Goldenscale. I've been looking for you for hours," the smith said, carrying a small box, "The necklace you won is complete."

In the morning Frost watches his love carefully.

"Good morning dear," Mayumi said when she woke, seeing Frost first thing, "You sleep well?"

"Come on in, the door's unlocked," called out, lifting her head to see who would walk though the door.

Frost looks at Mayumi, "fine." Frost looks to the door.

"I'm a light sleeper, and I make it a point to live up to my species' reputation. An old Valenthian saying says, 'One should never cross a flarion should they wish to live.' As a species, we don't have anger problems, we just don't let things go as easily as others," she said, "Now, what is it you brought?"
