"Huh, I wonder what it is.  Thank you for doing that, Tieral." she said as she got up and went to the back.  She took a small serving of apples, pears, and turkey then sat down in a corner.  Now that she thought about it, she didn't,t have all that much to do.

Once everyone else had gotten their share of the food, Tieral grabbed smaller servings of the turky and pears, and a larger serving of apples.

"I wouldn't know what they have in mind," he said, sitting beside Goldenscale to eat, "Ever since the old council head got voted out, they've been fixing just about every problem that he caused. There's no telling what they've been able to find cleaning up the damage he caused. Now that I think about it, no one has seen him around since then either."

"He wasn't very happy to leave.  And to think he got so mad after something so trivial..." she said.  "I haven't seen him either."

"What did he get mad about," he asked, "No one knows what caused him to be voted out. That's been keep secret from the public and enforcers alike."

"The old council member was sticking to the old ways too much and for some reason thought Mom was doing something wrong and was going to punish her.  First Frost said he was going to take the punishment, then I said I would and that I would rather have the public see that I was strong enough to defy his unexcusable punishments than weak enough to stand with him.  Soon enough, the other council members were on my side and told him that theory had found the papers asking for him to retire.  So they told him to clear out his office and he did.  I believe it was me who he's mad at for the incident." she said.

"I wonder where he is now. He is probably still living here in the main cave, but no one has seen him," he said, closing his eyes to think, "Normally, his daily plans had him go out to get fresh food each morning, only taking what he needed for the day, but he hasn't even done that."

"I wonder where he went..." she said.  "Maybe I'll go looking for him..."

"Why don't we go looking for him once we're done eating," he asked, rolling an apple arounf in his hands, "it'd give us something to do that doesn't put us out in the snow."

"Yep.  Sound like a great idea." she said.

"Well, I'm ready when you are," he said, popping the apple into his mouth.

"I'm ready." she said, stretching slightly.

"I think we should start at his home," he said as he stood, "I know that if I ever lost my job, I'd try to stay home until I found a new one."

"Alright." she said.  "Where is that?"

"Fallow me," he said heading out the door leading into the cave.

Goldenscale followed him, looking at her surroundings so she would,d know how to get there later.
