Goldnscale gasped and covered her eyes.  "Gomenesai..." she said quietly.  Chills went down her spine at seeing the varani's eye pop out.

"It's alrigh. Accidents happen. I can repaire any damage done to a varanius, bet it like this a it being cut in half," Mossed said once he started back to mosdilng the parts, "His eye has always been a little loose. I really need to rebend the catch that holds it on. It truth, they can't feel pain since they don't have a nervouse system like we do."

Tieral walked over to Goldenscale and layed beside her while he watched the varani move about and play,.

"What are these little things Goldenscale," he asked.

Goldenscale continued to say sorry.  She still didn't like hurting others, even if they couldn't feel it.  Her mane was standing on end as the memory kept replaying.  She still had her eyes covered.  "They're varani..." she finally said.

"So long as their crystal remains in one piece, I can always rebuild them should need be. The only things I know that can destroy the crystals are vital fire or a boralion," Mossed said, "he's fixed now if that's what you're waiting for. It may seem a bit disturbing the first couple of time, but trust me, you'll get used to it if you start making your own."

"What is this guy talking about? Better yet, what is he," Tieral aked looking Mossed over from where he was, "I've never seen a creature like hime before."

"I've seen some pretty gruesome things and I can't get used to it..." she said.  "It haunts me..." she added quietly.

"Trust me, i' seen some pretty bad things myself. If you thing the sight of one of these varani getting damaged is bad, you do not want to hear the scionic screem the emit should the crystal get destroyed," he said with a shudder, "If it helps any, try imagining them as a sort of golem that never collapses. You can hack away at them all you want, but the only way to truly harm them is to damage the crystal."

"O-okay..." she said quietly, taking her hands from her eyes.

"Just be a little more careful next time, and you can avoid any damages. You can go back to playing with the varani if you want. I've still got about fifty parts to make," he before stoopping what he was doing and holding his gut, "Oh, don't be doing this to me now nature. There's not even a valid host here."

"Are you alright, Mossed?" she asked.  She was confused about what his first sentence was, but she wanted to help.

"I'm fine. I'm just having to fight my natural urges. I'd rather not hurt anyone here," he said looking up with the look of pure pain across his face, "I have to do this every few months or risk have them build up and immoblize me. Itt can get to the point where it will kill me if left alone long enough."

"What!  That's not good.  Is there anyway around it!" she asked.

"The only way to get rid of it is to find a living host creature about the size of a wolf or bigger. Preferably, I would go for something that doesn't have a brain capable of sentient thought," he said almost curling into a rough ball, "Since this is a completely different planet from Valenth, the host would have to be something easily transported. This planet should remain leupak free, just to keep the natural balance right."

Goldenscale put her head to the ground.  "I don't know any creature that would'd be of use here..." she said.

"Is there any sort of bucket that can be filled with sand and heated," he asked.

"Yeah." she said.  She flew out of the cave and grabbed a bucket, then went over to a lake and took some of the sand from there.  She then went back to the cave and set it down before putting her hands on top of the sands.  She then heated all of the sand to the same temperature and lifted her hands from the sand.  "There you go." she said confused.
