i have respect for all kinds of life. Be it plant or creature. I grew up in a village so dedicated to protecting nature that is was a religion to us. I still practice those ways when I can," he said pulling a simple amethyst coin from a pocket and handing it to Goldenscale, "We also believe in the strength friendship can bring. We make these coins and hand them out to those we deem worthy of being call a friend. In the village, those with the most coins were held in the highest respect, and offten had higher standings in society. Goldenscale, as a daughter of Mayumi I extend this connection to you."

Goldenscale smiled.  "This is the second time I have been part of a tradition.  I thank you." she said.

Tradition is was defines our culture and our personalities. Without it we are all the same in both opinion and experience," he said, "It would be a boring world without tradition."

Near the wall several varani gathered, and the sound of violins began play as three varani started playing a peacful song.

Goldenscale smiled.  "What are they playing and what is the name of the song?" she asked.  There were so many things she had never seen before.

"They're playing violins. I couldn't tell you the song's name if I wanted to. It's probably something they came up with themselves," he said as he look over to the varani who were playing, "usually, it's the varadio modles that pick up musical skills, but there have been normal varani that pick up on the skills. It's just another piece of proof that they have a free mind."

"They fill me with awe.  How do you create such amazing creatures?" she asked, nudging one of the varanis.

(single is varanius. Plural is varani. Just to clear any confusion)

"I'm not completely sure myself. I can take blood or venom and turn it into the crystals that power them by placing it in the center of my facet," he said patting the gear like protrusion on the back of his neck, "As for the body, I take cubes of metal and make each part seperatly then asemble them, placing the crystal in last."

The varanius Goldenscale nudged jumped when it felt her nedge it. Turning around, it started to make a humming soind similar to a purr as it smiled at Goldenscale.

(*face palms* sorry.  I don't' know anything ><)

"Wow, that amazing.  It sounds complicated." she said before making a similar humming noise.

(it's alright. It took me forever to realise the difference on Valenth when I was just starting out.)

"The machanical part is. I'm just going to say the crystals are made with magic. It's easier to remember, and people don't ask anything mroe about it," he said taking out a cube of metal and covering it in venom using his tounge before he started pulling it apart and molding out parts, "So long as I have metal, I can repaire or create  varani."

Taking out a mini harp, that varanius started playing along with the ones playing violins.

"But I'm the kind of creature that asks more questions." she said with a smile.  "Could anyone make a varani?" she asked.  Nudging more of them with a chuckle to see what all of their reactions were.

"Well, magic is my only explanation for the crystals. As for the varani, anyone can make one if they know how each part interacts with eachother and some simple circuitry. making one like mine would require a crystal made from venom or blood using my facet," he said before taking a vial and spitting some venom into it. Taking the vial he pressed it into the whole in the gear on his neck. When he pulled it out, there was a perfect bronze sphere, "This is what gives them life."

Each varanius reacted differently. Some would only smile, others would back away briefly in fear. One grabbed Goldenscale's nose and started to hum like the first one.

Goldenscale laughed in happiness and purred.  "Could you show me how to make one?" she said.

"I figured you'd ask that. I can teach you, but first, i need to make all the parts," he saidletting out a laugh when he saw the varanius hanging onto Goldensscale's face, "It'll take me a while to get them made. Why don't you have a little fun with the varani. I'm sure they would love someone they could play with."

The varanius the had grabed Goldenscale's nose pulled itself up so that it was sittingjust in front of her eyes.

As the varani climbed her face, she licked it.  "Can I watch you make the parts so that I could make more in the future should I decide to have more than one?" she asked, wagging her comb-like tail in front of the varani on her face.

"My venom makes the metal able to be pulled apart like this. Besides, if you decide to continue building varani after today, I can always supply you with the parts you need. since," he said pulling another chuck of metal from the now deformed cube and forming it into a piece that look like a jaw, "Since we were able to get here, I can always have a varanius open up a portal into the slip space to get back here."

Laughing, the varanius jumped to try and grab Goldenscale's tail, but missed and fell to the floor with a metalic thump and its left eye poping off and hanging by a cord. Picking itse;f up it went over to Mossed who reseated the eye.

"What are all these things," Tieral asked, his voice a little foggy from just waking up, "And what is that creature?"
