"And your leg?" he takes the dishes away.

"I was wandering through the forest I was currently in when out of nowhere, something came and attacked me.  I knew a few fighting techniques at that time, but not enough to defeat him.  After that fight, I truely thought I was going to die.  But I somehow didn't.  I do remember a Unicorn being there in some point in time, but I can't remeber when.  I had gashes all along my body, my leg was broken and had gashes on it, and one of my shoulders was mauled.  But somehow I survived.  And here I am now." she said.  That was one of her worst memories.  There were times when she would wake up after having a dream about it, but it didn't happen often.

"it's ok now." Frost says with a smile. "Come on lets go and see Mayumi."

"Okay." she said.  She didn't like dwelling on bad thoughts for very long.  She got up and followed after Frost.

They arrive at Mayumi's shop. "hello? Mayumi are you here?"

Goldenscale shyly limped into the shop, looking at all of the different herbs and potions in wonder.

"I'm here, just getting the suplies I need for the day prepared," Mayumi said sticking her head out from the door behind the counter. "You're here ealier than I expected," she said, looking a little glum, "I'll have everything ready in a few minutes."

"take your time. i think Goldenscale can wait a little longer after having that limp for so long." Frost says looking at some of the herbs himself.

"Why do you look so glum?" Goldenscale asked as she walked over to some of the hearbs and started to study them.  They looked like the ones she had used in the past.  She was starting to stand on her hind legs as she did normally when she had a stick with her, but she fell flat on her behind.  'Stupid leg...' she ranted mentally.  She got back up and continued to observe while sitting.

"Just memories of ones lost. Some things just can't be replaced," Mayumi said taking a mortar and pestle from under the counter. Taking a a few herb she started crushing them into a pst, "I have reasons for staying here under the council's control instead of living out side the cave."

"I would think so." she said, understanding what she meant.  Though she wanted to know more, she let the subject drop.  This subject normally wasn't a good topic to dwell on.

"i've got to go ok. I'll be back soon." Frost flies out quickly as though he was never there.

Goldenscale watched as Frost left the cave, then curled up on the ground with her feathered wings covering her body.  "Why did Frost leave?" she asked Mayumi.

"I stay here because of the families that live here. Even with the council being so demanding of me, I find peace in knowing the medicine I make has saved many families the pain I've endured," Mayumi said adding the crushed herbs to a small pot of boiling water then returning to the counter to take out a small wooden dragon.  "If only I had listened to the warnings," she said to herself cradling the wood figure, and began to cry softly.

Goldenscale heard Mayumi crying, so she got up and went over to her.  She gave her a hug, unable to think of what to say.
