*So you're telling me you succeeded in convincing them to change their minds about the rule?* the willow asked.  "Yep." she replied.  *Wonderful, you are a wonder, my dear.* she said.  *See Tieral, she is a wonder of nature.  Never underestimate her.*

"I never said I didn't believe in her. I just didn't know of a way for her to go about learning of the rule without me getting involved. There's only one copy of the enforcer's guide, and it stays under lock and key deep in storage. It's only taken out once a year to inform the new enforcer recuites, then it's put back in a presurised container and locked away again. I wouldn't be able to get the book for her to read," Tiearal said, "Any other way I can think of, requires me to do something the rest of the council would pick up on. I'm glad she was able to talk them into changing the rule though."

Goldenscale was giggling softly now.  She didn't know she would be able to do that, but she did.  "At noon today, every dragon that can be there wilbe in the middle of the cave.  Everyone's going to take part in a barrier that will prevent any evil spirits from entering.  They told me that if they were going to change the rule, I was going to take care of any spirit that enters the cave.  I haven't failed yet, and I don't plan on it.  The council is informing all enforcer generals of the rule change.." she said with a smile.  "But why did you inform me of that now?" she asked.  

Tieral grew silent as he watched Goldenscale, his eyes showing his inner strugle.

(Sorry I couldn't post for about an hour.  My I Trent was being slow and wouldn't respond.)

"What's wrong, Tieral?" she asked him.  *Now's your chance.* the willow whispered to him.

Closing his eyes, Tieral drew a small circle  in the dirt with a single rune in the middle. After a moment, the rune started to glow before a golden rose took its place. Taking the rose, he walked  over to Goldenscale and presented it to her, his face starting to heat up.

Goldenscale was prettly sure her cheek scales turned a shade of pink, but she took the flower from him with a smile.  'So this was why the willow told me about that rule.' she said to him.  She honestly didn't expect this, but everything made sense to her now.

Tieral remained silent, but nodded with a smile. Taking the rose, he clipped off the thorns and fixed it so that it would rest just on top of Goldenscale's topaz crystal.

Goldenscale smiled even wider, sure she was blushing even more.  She then looked back up at Tieral.  *Hey you two, don't forget what's happening at noon.* the willow pointed out.  "That's right.  I still need to make that barrier!  Come on, Tieral!" she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him slightly in the direction of the cave.

At the entrance to the cave, Metraz and Talia were waiting. "There you are Goldenscale, everyone is waiting in the middle of the cave. The other council members called for a meeting everyone was advised to join," Talia said before noticing the rose, "That's pretty, where'd you find that?"

"Tieral grew it." she answered.  She then walked to the center of the cave and took a deep breath.

Surounding the center of the cave several hundred dragons were gathered, including every enforcer and council member. "We are all ready, just say what needs to be done," one of the council members said.

'Crap...this is a lot of dragons...' she thought.  "We all need to reach out to each other's auras and pool as much energy as we can.  We must unite everyone together in order for this to work.  When everyone, including myself, has connected with everyone and their power, I will take care of speaking the spell.  You all just have to be aware of everyone's areas around you and connect your power sources with theirs until everyone's energy is poolee all together." she said.  She spoke with as much confidence as she could.  "Everyone understand?" she asked.

Once Goldenscale finished speaking, the air started to grow heavy with the energy being gathered. After an hour, the energy stopped rising and leveled out.

Goldenscale pooled her own energy, and that was a lot.  Using everyone's gathered energy, she then began to chant a complex spell that would prevent any spirit with an intent to harm from the cave and would notify her of the spirit outside the spell.  After a dew minutes, the chanting faded and she looked up at everyone.  "Great job.  No one should have to worry about any spirits now." she said.
