"Right now if possible.  I'm feeling a bit impatient and I need to clear this up as soon as possible." she said.

*You'll see later.* was all she said.

"Very well, if it's that important," she said taking holaloft a rope and giving it a firm tug causing a large bell to ring, "Go ahead and enter the council room. They'll be here shortly."

Goldenscale took her place in the meeting room.  She wasn't very happy about what she 'read'.

One by one the council members came into the room and took their places. "What is the issue that this meeting is called for," the member just to the left of Goldenscale asked once everyone was in place.

"So I was reading all of the rules, and I read one saying that the enforcers can't show any feelings towards the council member they protect.  This made me bring up love.  Could you explain to me why the council before me chose this rule, because I don't fully agree with it." she said with a frown.

Frost went and wiped off his wifes face of oils and dirt.

"That rule was made after an incedent where we lost a council member and an enforcer after their ralationship atracted a rather unwanted crowd. The rule is meant to protect both the enforcers and the council member that chose them from such a fate," he said, "We don't completely agree with it, but after that incedent, we'd rather not risk it happening again."

"Is something wrong with mayumi Frost," Talia said stepping into his cave, "She looks like she's almost dead. No offense."

"But couldn't we put that in the past and try again?  Everything has changed since then.   And hopefully we're a lot stronger than years ago.  That was ages before, and besides, we live only once.  And even then, life is too unexpected to know how long we can live.  We should spend that time with the ones we love.  And the couple was able to die knowing they died together and not alone.  When we die, our souls don't disappear.  We live on." she said.  "Everyone is a free spirit.  Let each one decide how they want to live their lives." she said with a yawn.  She still felt exhausted, but this needed to be taken care of.

"That's why we're against it, but they didn't die together. Not even our shaman could protect them from the spirits that took them and ripped their sould from their bodies," he said looking down and shuddering, "The spirits destroyed their sould so that they could take the bodies as their own. This all happened less than ten years ago, and we don't want to take the chances of similar spirits coming to repeat the deed."

Goldenscale put her hand up to her forehead.  "I could put a spell on the cave that would keep spirits like that away.  And if they did come, I would destroy them.  I've destroyed a litch and a spirit that had possessed Frost without harming Frost in the slightest.  If we trrained everyone to control more of their spiritual energy, then the problem could dissappear altogether.  And if everyone was to put a protection spell on the cave, then for sure these spirits would cease to come.  I could even expand the spell further and surround the forest and sky in an unbreakable force-field.  No spirit, necromancer, or litch would be able to match everyone's power at once." she said with decisiveness.  She wasn't going to back down from this.  She was going to change that rule.  "You all make it sound like it was the enforcer and council member's fault for being killedij the first place.  Many dragons cannot withstand the power of a spirit.  Their spiritual power was too weak to withstand it.  Everyone might be able to stand a better chance if everyone were to focus their spiritual energy more.  It wasn't their fault, so don't act like it was.  It was time spirit's fault." 

"We know it wasn't their fault. How could it have been their fault? How would they have known their bond would atract such demons," he said, "If you wish to try you idea, we'll try it. Should a spirit or demon break through, it will be your responsibility to take it out."

"And I will destroy it.  No one will assist me in it's destruction, and I will protect those who are targeted.  I swear upon the stars I will take full responsibility for this and I won't fail." she said, putting a hand over all of the crystals.

"I'll take care of informing the enforcer generals of the rule change. We can inform our own enfoercers ourselves," he said looking up to Goldenscale, "When and were might you expect everyone to be gathered to put up this spiritual barrier?"

"The center of the cave at midday would be best.  I will inform my enforcers as well as Frost and Maumi.  Thank you for your time." she said with a slight bow.  She then walked out of the building and ran back to the willow tree.  "I win." she said, sitting at the base of the tree.

"We'll have as many people there as we can then," he said as he stood up with the rest of the council, "We'll meet you there soon."
