I feel your pain. One of my breeding projects is Acid Spit Cockatrices so I am breeding my Cockatrices with Acid Gland + Spitting Muscle, be it recessive, dominant, or both, and I have also been using the breeding offers when I can.

And I always get Spitting Muscle recessive. Every time. And the one time I didn't my baby got Slow-minded so she ended up being a hindrance when she was on Battlefield. Even when Spitting Muscle isn't recessive Acid Gland is.

My unicorns finally started hitting level 50, and I've been tracking their genes for breeding matches as they do so.
Three of them I paid up through the riding school only to find they have no genes I'm after, and carry a bunch of avoidables to boot, so I can't even use them to try and breed out bad genes.

I joined yesterday and I'm already finding the breeding page annoying, the way you cant narrow down the search by species, and certain qualities you may want.  

Desori - if you're talking about what I think you are, then you can click the little green + sign next to the search field above the list of listings. To be supervague about it. It opens up more search options.

Argh, so close, just needed one more gene, now I'll need to make a new line or try again with the parents. (I'm running out of room too!)

When you're fighting a clearly inferior pet/monster, and they countermove five times in a row and kill you...I hate this so much.

I really regret only adopting Symurghs from the pound because now my stables are FULL of them and now I'm focused on breeding and other stuff other than symurghs so its such a struggle to clean up (BECAUSE MAINLY IM SOOOO ATTACHED AND THEY'RE SO OLD LIKE THEY'RE FROM 2K13 OR SO ASDFGHJKL)

I swear whenever there's an event either it takes most of the event to find the relevent schemes or I buy them only to find them immediately after.

22 islands. 4 hell pumpkins. Is it just my bad luck or did the hell dog spawn rate drop dramatically? I acquired 60 early on but over the last few days I've found practically none. At this rate I'm genuinely concerned about collecting 100 before the end of the event...

I have 68 and am really battling to find them. And I call them evilpuppies because they look so odd and are so hard to find...

@mosaic - I'm getting superstitious about finding the Orthus (aka hellhounds).  It feels, subjectively, like my pets are more likely to find them in the first explore or two of the day.  Spamming my highest level pets all day feels like a waste when I take a level 15 through on a whim and they immediately find one.  Bah!  I'm not sure I'm going to make 100 with ony 48 hours left.  If I stick at 97 or something at the end of the event....augh.

@Sumatra_Echo - that's exactly what I came over here to complain about too!  It's especially humiliating after defeating guardians 4 levels higher on the first try.

Breeding at random from pound animals to send to the Portal Service, and one of the babies suddenly has one of the harder-to-find quest traits.  With accompanying terrible stats, of course.  Now I can't bring myself to send it away and yet I resent the space it's taking in my stable.

Ugh, serious, what is up with my luck. This here cockatrice was had a 50% chance of getting Agile Paw (both mother and father had 1 each), and somehow instead of getting an Agile Paw gene, which I'm trying to breed for, it ends up with coloring and patterns I was hoping for. I don't even care about skins yet, and still it ends up happening! Why couldn't have it have gotten at least 1 Agile Paws!? I was so close to getting one of my 3-4 perfect cockatrice. (One gene away! Just that one little gene.)

There there. You can always make a killing breeding your Ice breath/Ice aura lykos in two days' time.
