Recently i got into a discution with thebeastkeeper about the effort people put into the deviant programe.

The message i put is on here and the game i am refairing to has been blanked out with *****

After this message she said i should suggest it so i guess this is me suggesting XD

"Well i just got thinking about the people that spend all there time makeing those sorts of programmes and it reminds me of when ****** was first starting out.

Back in those days you where hard core into the game or new to the game there was no real inbertween.

The main reason like BK was that unless you had a firm grip on what you wanted to do in the game there was not much to to do other than learn what would work for you and most players on these games made a new acount and could not bother to find out what would work, so left.

****** had a real problem they where loosing money and players because of how isolated the game was so they had a search for ideas and my fave Mod **** came up with the chat bar.

No one thaught i would work because there where only about 10 players online per day and what whould they really want to talk about?

It was a massive success! whithin the first week alone the amount of players rose doubel and people started to buy more in game currency.

It was a simple idea but now newbies could ask questions and other players could reply, players could just sit there and chat about ,well what ever thay liked! And people could put up ads that all the people on the site would see so trades whent up by way more.

Soon there where so many players that they had to make more chat rooms for sales,chat and rp so the chat did not get cluttered"

I have a lot of people that join Bk though my link and they get back to me about how the game was to them and i am sad to say a lot are not playing any more.

And i realy think a game chat would be a step in the right direction to keeping them.

(and of course the chat must have a "hide" button for people who dont whant to use it.)

I've already suggested an Instant Messaging chat system; perhaps you should have your thread merged with mine to avoid clutter since the ideas are related.

My idea is quite a bit differant though mine is a chat box on everypage that anyone can write on.

There is an unofficial live text chat for everyone on beastkeeper to use, but hardly anyone is ever on even though it is extremely easy to use. (Join us, we have cookies) So im not sure about the success of one on the site.

Plus the forums here for questions and rp and other things are active here and do not go unanswered for long.

I support. I share strong belief that it would boost activity on the site :).

Sylviianel, kudos for you for putting that chat up! I think people don't use it more because they'd have to swich tabs constantly. Having an open chatbox with everyone - right there, whatever you do, on every page would be much more comfortable and  more noticeable for new players :). Newbies usually aren't hooked up with the game so much as to go far "out of their way" for it (sorry for chaotic explanation) and many hardcore players often keep more to themselves or already have chatting partners, so to speak.

I like this idea a lot! It would be cool to have an open chat box! It would be a bit unorginized, but much better than nothing! Maybe we could have a private chatbox too....

Oh my gosh mossy i love that idea to maybe IF they do put a chat box on and it get used and after its a sucess XD we can add private chat rooms and maybe sales/rp kinds of chat rooms becuase when ***** got the chat it turned into a massive sales spam.com so they introduced the Sales tab on chat and only alowed 1 post till it left the chat.
