You must not have any pets left to hunt. It takes a few cycles for new ones to appear.

Your Reptile catcher was attacked by a Unicorn at the Heart of the Forest. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
There's no one at Big tree.
There's no one at Waterfall.
I'm having terrible luck with a lack of reptiles. Hopefully I can bag that cockatrice if I stake out the tree for a few cycles.
Edit: Wewt! Finally caught a cockatrice. Now to hunt down that unicorn that's been causing my hunters grief. >.> sweet, sweet revenge (I hope).

Your Bird Catcher tried to catch a Gryphon at the Cave and ran away to save his life.
An ambush in its lair and they failed me. -.-'

Ugh! That sucks, you lost two dragons. :( Ah well, I guess they couldn't have been very good if they lost to that Puma.

_____________
I haven't had the stable space to hunt here until recently, so I've just been observing and making notes on pets and their paths so I could nail em when I got a stable expansion.
Got a gryphon, one Puma, two cockatrice, and two rocs - one of which has been captured.
But as I look here, I see:
So...This last turn is leaving me scratching my head. How did that puma get there when I saw that last turn it was chillin at the Fields? I was expecting Cockatrice 1 to be there because that's where he patrols on his little routine. Only possibility I can think of is that Cockatrice 1 got in a fight with Roc 2 and went back to den.
Man I can't wait until I get my guild built, will save me so much headache -.-

wth, did that cockatrice vanish? He should have been at the waterfall, flying away somewhere!

SpaceShipRat, beasts don't get reported if they are moving away from your catchers, only if they move towards where your catchers are. If your catcher was at the waterfall, he wouldn't see a cockatrice flying to somewhere else.

woah. I never realized.
Anyway the bugger had flown away home, I caught it next turn :P Nice one.

So I have this theory that every time a pet is sent back to its lair after losing a fight, it changes its patrol path. Here's an example:
Mar 27, 2013 10:04:30
There's no one at Big tree.
Your catcher saw how a Puma came from the Magic Glade to Creek.
Your catcher saw how a Gryphon flew from the Big Field to Creek.
Your catcher saw how a Gryphon has got into a fight with a Puma.
A Gryphon has lost the battle and returned to lair.
Your Reptile catcher entered a fight with a Puma at the Creek and ran away to save his life.
Your catcher saw how a Cockatrice came from the Eastern Fields to Waterfall.
Your Reptile catcher failed to catch a Cockatrice at the Waterfall.
Anyone suspect the same?

Hmm, no idea Zenith.
I had a Druid come to my Inn randomly so I had some pretty good catching days.
