Goldenscale giggled a bit.  "No, we didn't.  Normally I don't act that way, but I am protective of my family.  I used to be an orphan before I found them, so now I want to protect them and show them how far I'm willing to go to make sure they are safe." she said.  "We all have our wishes, and I was helping her to make sure you understood them.  In due time you will have one.  Some will find theirs faster than others, but in time it will happen." she said with a nod.  Goldenscale's eyes then turned green as she looked at the tree.  She then smiled and nodded.  "Yep, that's true as well." she then frowned a bit.  "As is that..." she said, though a bit more quietly.

"Um.. Mind explaining what that was all about," he asked, blinking as Goldenscale communicated with the tree, "Back home, only shamans are supposed to be able to communicate with nature. Only they are close enough to nature to understand it."

Goldenscale looked back at Aipaloovik, her eyes still a deep emerald.  "Oh, sorry.  He was saying that you and your soul mate could be living at a large distance, so that is one reason why you don't have a mate yet.  Then he said that it is possible you don't have a soul mate because either they had died early or they arenn't in existance, though I personally believe the first option more than the second." she said with a nod.  She then looked at him quizzically.  "Well, I was mute until I met my adoptive family, so I listened to the trees a lot, Mother Willow in particular who was my caretaker in the past.  But then again my previous life was chosen to live again to be a nature spirit by the Moon, even though I live the normal life of a dragon." she said proudly.  "But all dragons can do it.  Even you can.  I've seen quite a few dragons that can speak with them, or hear them at least.  Want me to show you?" she asked with a smile.

"No thanks, it wouldn't feel right being able to speak with the trees and not be a shaman. I appreciate the offer and translation though. I say it wouldn't feel right because mmy cousin is a shaman in training. She''ll be performing the final right in a few weeks. Her name is Nerina," he said, bowing his head to Goldenscale, "It's an honor to meet a chosen spirit of nature. It would also be an honor if you visited the village."

Goldenscale sighed.  "Please, treat me as though I'm just a normal hatchling, a somewhat mature one though.  I've tolerated being called a miracle, but please, I'm just a dragonette that was given a second chance at life." she said with a smile.  She then turned towards someone she heard coming and she smiled.  "Willow!" she said.  Willow had once again taken her human spirit form and walked over.  "I'm sorry, but I miss you already.  I'm not used to you not running around the forest." she told her, carressing Goldenscale's cheek.  She then turned towards Aipaloovik.  "I see you two have met a new friend." she oberseved.

Goinhg silent, Aipaloovik dipped his head. "'I don't know what it is i've done to deserver this honor, but thank you appearing before me," he said, keeping his head down.

"I wouldn't call him a friend just yet. We've only just met him. We had a bit of a rough start, but that has been solved already," Ahnah said, smiling to Willow, "It's good to know we have someone such as yourselfkeeping track of us on our jouney."

Goldenscale smiled and began to giggle.  "Well, I'd follow this child and her family around the world if need be.  You do not have to act so formal.  I appear when I have to and not because of anything special." she said to him.  She then looked at Ahnah with a smile.  "Well, he isn't a foe, so I guess he is a mere aquantince for now.  Of course I'd keep track of the both of you, my dear.  I'd be there for Goldenscale and I'd be there for you as well." she said.  Goldenscale was giving off a happy humming noise from within her chest.

"Sorry if this seems a bit odd. We've always been taught to show the utmost repsct to nature sprits when they appeared in a physical form. We've been taught that anything below full respect would be considered offensive," Aipaloovik said, slowly standing back up, "Guardian nature spirits deserve even more respect for everything they do."

"The best thing you could do is treat her like any other person. If she had wanted something from you, she would have said so up front," Ahnah said, letting out a purr, "For now, I'm sure she appreciates the praise. I'm just glad she sees me worth protecting along side Goldenscale."

Willow laughed.  "Well, it is a good thing they teach you.  Not all nature spirits are like me.  I am humble and nothing special, though I do mean much to the dear little child.  It makes me glad to see that creatures still being taught to respect spirits.  Back in my forest, there are some that are respectful, but there are also some that don't even think that us nature spirits exist." she said, though she smiled the enture time.  "Of course!  Willow protects all that need her help, from a newborn unicorn to an injured hatcling.  No matter what, I would protect her and my family with all my being to the bitter death if needed." she said with a decisive nod, going over to sit next to Ahnah.  *Hey Ahnah, should I call you Talia  for now?  I'm not sure how much longer Willow and I can go without saying your name." she asked her mentally, still laughing and giggling otherwise.  Willow had taken a seat on the ground, healthy green grass growing where she sat.

"Yes, that would be best for now. i don't know if hw knows my real name or not, but best not to take chances for now," Ahnah replied, taking a small handful of the grass that grew and started working it into a small crown for Goldenscale.

"The dragon vilages out here in the tundra all fallow the old ways. We are taught about the spirits, and how to repsect them. We've also been taught about sppirts who aren't so kind, and how to deal with them," Aipaloovik said, sitting at the edge of the growing grass, "We are by no means perfect, but we do our best to honor the spirits that deserve it."

Goldenscale watched Ahnah for a while before she began to do what Ahnah was doing.  She bit her tongue as she worked, watching Ahnah and making the crown at the same time.

Willow smiled.  "Well, being taught in the old ways is a good thing, but it could also be bad.  Some of the older traditions I don't really care for, so I don't practice it." she said with a frown.  At the mention of unkind spirits, she sighed.  "Goldenscale has had too many encounters with spirits like those, and she has managed to survive each time, though she has almost met death a couple times.  She has destroyed demons, a litch, and several dark spirits and evil creatures already, all to protect her family from harm.  She can differenciate between auras she feels to be dark and pure, and she personally locks onto any dark aura and destroys them." she said.  "I'm not saying you shouldn't respect them, but she kills them on contact because every time they have tried to kill her because of what she is."

"My father would have loved to have met you. He always stressed the importance of family, and protecting those you care about. He always laothed the way my uncled raised his children, molding them into their jobs rather than letting them grow and learn like everyone else," he said, looking down, "My father died while trying to stop my first cousin from leaving shortly after I hatched. Mother still keeps to his values, but she says it just isn't the same without him."

Looking down after hearing Aipaloovik's father had died, Ahnah paused before continuing with the crown she was making.

"So, enough about my family. I know you're adopted, but how would you say you're related ti Ms. Beauty here? I'm just wondering is all," Aipaloovik said.

Goldenscale looked down and frowned.  "I'm sorry your father died." she said quietly.  She then looked up.  "Well, I'm not really related to her.  Back home I had managed to get into the council they have, being the first female to do so, and we have to pick three enforcers.  Talia was one of them, and I became real close friends with her and one other of my enforcers.  I treat friends like family since I didn't have many growing up." she said with a smile, looking at Ahnah.  As she spoke, her fingers continued to create a.crown similar to the one.Ahnah was making.

"I see. She's like an honor guard then, someone assigned to protect someone in a high social position. It's good to know you made good friends with her though. A friend will protect a friend better than they will acplete stranger," he said, watching Ahnah as she worked on the crown, "You rememind me a lot of my aunt. If I didn't know better, I'd say you two were related, but very few people ever leave the village, and those that have have never been heard form again. My aunt has been a littl under the weather lately, but she might like to see you, if only to see someone similar to her."

"We'll be sure to give her a visit while we're there. Even if we only manage to bring a smile to her face, it would be better than suffering through illness," Ahnah said, taking a leaf from a low hanging branch and using it to hold the two ends of the crown together, "There, all done. If I had the proper equipment, I could enchant this to keep it from wilting, but I can always make another when we return home."

Goldenscale nodded.  "Yeah, that's about right.  I don't really need guards to protect myself, but it is good having allies to fight with if I do get in trouble.  And though I am unsure if a stranger would protect me, I would protect them.  It's just my nature." she said with a smile.  While Aipaloovik chatted with ahnah, she began to work on her crown once more, catching up to Ahnah quickly.  Just as Ahnah finished her crown, Goldenscale finished her own.  "I made one for you too, Talia.  I'm not sure if I can enchant it either though." she said.  Willow smiled and took the crown gently from her hands.  "Then let me enchant it for you." she said.  She then closed her eyes and with a soft green glow, she enchanted it.  She then smiled wider and gave it to Goldenscale.  She then placed the crown on Ahnah's head.  "Would you like me to enchant that for you as well, Talia dear?" Willow asked.
