"Of course.  I would rather you be healthy and feeling good than have to deak with everything feeling bad...  If we have to, we can wait longer.  I don't mind.  We have a year too." she said.  She then yawned since they weren't moving.  "I'm gonna take a nap then..." she said as she curled up in the sun and put her head in her feathers.  "Don't be afraid to wake me up if something's wrong..." she said, keeping one ear perked up as she dozed.

Giving a small nod, Ahnah looked to the sky as ice began to travel up her neck and creating a muzzle around her head. Once the ice set into place, she laid her head down and closed her eyes.  After a few minutes, she was waoke by a second wave of pain that caused her to let out a muffled cry between her teeth..

Goldenscale raised her head quickly when she heard the muffled cry, opening and quickly shielding her eyes from the bright sun.  She opened her mouth, but closed it again before she asked the question on her mind.  She knew what was wrong, so she kept silent, but the ice creeping around on Ahnah was scaring her, making her ears go back.  "Ahnah... why is the ice moving?  It wasn't covering your mouth before..." she said.  She had seens some weird things happen, but this was something she was seeing and didn't like.

Once she caught her breath, the ice around her head melted away. "This is to keep myself from doing something I would regret, both mentally and physically. No matter what I find personally atractive, my body will call out for a mate.If I don't do this, I will end up drawing unwanted attention to myself," she explained, shuddering, "This ice is keeping me from calling out, and keeps the pheromones from getting out to atract others. This ice keeps me safe."

She looked down sheepishly.  "Oh..." she said.  She had been frightened over nothing, which was both a good thing and a bad thing for her.  Good because nothing really bad was wrong, but bad because there was no reason for her to be frightened in the first place.  She then sprawled out on her stomach, her legs out behind her and her paws in front of her, and put her head on her paws.  She then folded her wings against her sides and closed her eyes.  It was getting a bit stuffy being curled up in a ball.

"Don't feel bad, if I had seen someone I knew covered in ice when the last time i saw them they were without the ice, i'd be worried too," Ahnah said before laying her head bac down, "I should have told what I was going to do." When she finished talking, the ice bagan forming another muzzle around her head.

"I've seen Mayumi almost killed by moving ice and now I'm afraid of it.  But I should have at least thought about it, since I know what's wrong..." she said with a sigh.  "You don't have to.  I'm just being nosy..."  She then gave a yawn and her head tilted sideways a bit as she dozed off.  

Watching Goldenscale, Ahnah smiled as best she could through the ice. She was glad someone cared about her enough to be concerned for her. Giving a quiet pur, she closed her eyes to fall asleep once more.

When morning came, there was a small prod against Goldenscale's side as a dragon similar to Ahnah began checking for a pulse.

Goldenscale gave a soft whimper at the touch.  "I wanna sleep more..." she said, turning on her side.  Something didn't seem right to her though and she woke up with a start, jumping up and observing the dragon before snarling.  Seeing Ahnah, she walked over to her and stood protectively around her.  "Who are you and state your business." she said, her ears back and her lips back in a snarl.  

"Call down young one, I mean no harm. I was just out here gathering food when I found you, and this beautiful lady here. The name's Aipaloovik," the dragon said, taking a step back, "If I'm not mistaken, she's trying to hide her heat from the world."

When Ahnah woke, she overheard the other's comment on her current condition.Moving herself to be behind Goldenscale, she started making the ice grow to better keep others off of her.

Goldenscale calmed, but not by much.  "I have fought other dragons that have said the same thing, then tried to kill me.  They are nothing but empty words to me, Aipaloovik." she explained with a frown, pronouncing the name slowly and carefully.  She then curled up next to Ahnah and covered her with her wings.  "Why would you care?  It is none of you business what she's doing, and besides, you said you were gathering food when you chanced upon us." she said, watching him carefully.

"Doubt me if you wish, but if I had wanted to harm you, I wouldn't have bothered to wake you. I don't now any of those who attacked you in the past, but I aasure you i have nothing to do with them," he said, circling around to get a better look at Ahnah, "Why do I care? It's easierto get rid of a heat by finding a mate than it is to wait it out. I've already gatehred enough food for my patrol so I have time to spare."

Goldenscale watched him with a frown, but when he began circling around them, she got up and snapped at him, snarling as she put her body over Ahnah's.  "You touch her, and I will kill you.  I don't care if you have time to spare, if you don't start on your way, I will make sure that you do." she said with a growl.  "If she had wanted a mate, she would have left to find one.  Now, anymore questions?" she asked in a more irritated tone than a caring one.  Her word was true, even if she didn't know the creature personally and she knew it would make her uncomfortable later on, she would kill this dragon to protect Ahnah.

"Fine,no need to get all murderous and bent out of shape. I was just trying to help, but I guess my assistance is unwelcome here Can I at least ask why it is that you two are so far out here," he sasked, taking several steps back, "Maybe once her heat is gone, you can stop by my village. Maybe then I can learn why she seems so familiar."

Goldenscale stop growling, but she watched him.  "That kind of assistance isn't needed, thanks.  And I have every right to be all murderous and bent out of shape, the way you put it.  In my eyes I'm being protective, and that is the way I'll think of it." she said with a nod.  "I think we're going that way anyways, so we'll try and stop by."  She tried calming herself, but she never moved from her protective stance over Ahnah.
