She went up to the shop window.  "Ooh, this must be a fabric store...  but I don't know if this is what we are looking for..." she mumbled to herself questioningly.  Well, she could keep tabs on where this building is and she could go look for others to show Ahnah when they reunite.

"Can I help you with anything Ma'am," a man asked as he stood up from the garden just to the left of the door, "If you have any questions, I own this stoor. I can help you find anything inside."

"Just looking for supplies for my friend and my trip.  Though this is the first time I've been somewhere other than home, so I don't know exactly what I'm looking for." she said with an embarrased laugh.

"Well, do you have a general idea what you're looking for? Maybe a material or machine," he asked, wiping dirt off his knees, "I'm sure we have something that might help."

"Well, we are looking for clothes that can keep us warm in terribly cold weather, or fabrics, whichever we can find, as well as supplies for our trip." she said.

"I can help you with the cloths and fabrics," he said with a smile, "Here, why don't you come in, and we'll see if I can't find what you're looking for." Opening the door, the man held it for Goldenscale.

"Thank you." she said to the man as she walked in.  She gazed around in the store, looking at all the merchandise.

"So, what kind of fabric are you looking for," he asked as he stepped around the front counter, "If you know that, we can get a start on what you need."

"I don't know, this is my first journey outside of my home town." she said with a sigh.

"Ah, then what you want is something warm if you're heading north, something open and cool if you're heading south. Cotton and wool for cold, silk and nylon for heat. If it's gong to be real cold, you'll want wool though," he said, taking down samples of each material and putting them on the counter, "Usually, you're location determines what you wear. You might want to carry something lighter with you incase you come across a warmer area. Better to be prepared for heat than to get caught with heat exhaustion."

"Well, we are heading far north, so the wool is what we will need.  We will probably not need the lighter fabrics until later on..." she said, feeling the wool.

"Then I suggest wool. It will hold heat in better than cotton, but it will itch a little. You may want a layer of cotton under the wool to combat that," he said, taking out a more finely threaded piece of wool, "So, who are you traveling with?"

"Someone by the name of Ahnah.  I asked her to help me on my travels since she's traveled before and I have absolutely no experience." she said as she observed the piece of wool he had brought out.

"Ahnah? I think I've heard that name before, but I'll get into that another time. As for having no experience, I can't say I have much myself. I know what I do beccause of the people who come through here every so often," he said, waving to someone who came in, "If you ask around, you can pick up a lot of information."

"That would be wise.  You don't know what others know until you actually communicate with them.  That's the way I met Ahnah.  I went up to her and struck up a conversation with her." she said with a smile.
