"Then I-I'll find out and take care of it.  I'm probably the only one that could anyways...  Well, the only living thing..." she said bravely, but in truth she was very afraid.

"We might not have to fight it directly. We have two of the elevent elemental rune to the tower of elements. If the stories are true, Kyne resides within, waiting for the seal to be broken," she said, pulling the ice rune from her pouch, "We have water and ice, that only eaves nine runes to find before we head for the tower. The arcane rune may be our most difficult rune to find though."

"What is arcane?" she asked, crawling from the willow's branches to the ground.

"The arcane are the magics that hold this world together and keep the univers stable. When made into a visible form, it is a bright pink and extreamly unstable," Ahnah said, drawing out a smybol for a burning rock falling from the sky, "Disturbances in the arcane magic are common result in the magic anomalies that can be observed from time to time. Major disturbances often take the form of a meteor crashing through the atmosphere."

"Oh..." she said with a frown.  

"Those who practice it, will usually  be herolded as a comander of weather, or be driven insane.It is the most alien of the magics, even if it is as much a part of nature as the others," she said, wiping away the rune, "That may be why no one has ever contacted the Arcanist."

"What if I'm able to do it?" she asked.

"That would be impressive if you could command arcane magic without falling vitim to insanity beyond your control. I am aware of the insane side of you, I can feel it hiding deep within your mind," she said, "You would have to find a way to learn the concept of harnesing the magic though. I only know how to read the runes and terminology asocialed with it."

"Maybe you could read me the runes and I could figure out what it means from there..." she said.

"I can tranlate the runes into text we can read, but they end up in a language I'm unfamiliar with," she said, stepping over to the willow, "Weren't we going to ask the willow about your memory loss?"

Goldenscale flinched.  "I don't wanna.  I'm afraid I'll be told I'm dysfunctional...." she said quietly, looking at the ground.

"Not being able to remember something doesn't mean one is dysfunctional. Besides, you were in the presence of a diety,  spirits known to make remembering their conversations hard. Not remembering something about what he said is normal in this case," Ahnah said, padding ove to Goldenscale and placing a wing on her back, "I wont think ay less of you, no matter what."

"I remember what he said exactly, I'm having troubles remembering things from before..." she said quietly.

"That's still normal. Everyone forgets things. Names, even, even entire days can be forgoten and the person can still be normal," Ahnah said, nuzzling Goldenscale in an attempt to comfort her, "I'm not going to force you to ask if you don't want to.I would never hurt you."

"Okay... as long as no one will hold it against me..." she said quietly.
