As the electric pulsing of the Stormcaller faded, several powerful souls rose to take its place, each pulling in different directions. Most pulled towards the cave while three pulled towards Asmada's cave.

She followed the call of the there at Asmada's cave.  "You here, Asmada?" she asked, walking in.

"Yes, how can I help you Goldenscale," Asmada asked after swallowing a chunk of meat, "May I ask what that eggs is for?"

She looked around the cave, her feathered ears swiveling to catch the souls' sounds.  "I'm tying to save this egg from death, but the spirit that wants to claim it says I have to exchange another soul of equal value for it.  That are somehow three here...  But I need to find them..." she said as she singled out one of them and followed it.

"There were three rogues that I took down early this morning. I was just trying to get some herbs to cook with, but they thought otherwise," Asmada said, nodding to three bodies piled against the wall, "Not exactly the easiest fight I ever had, but I didn't fail."

Eminating from one of the fresh bodies a soul similar to the egg's flared up as Goldenscale got close.

Goldenscale went over to the bodies and put her hand on the first one there.  She then tried to connect her spoil with that one so she could communicate with it.

Upon connecting with the spirit, Stormcaller appeared alongside the body's spirit.

"Is this the soul you choose to offer," Stormcaller asked, looking over thesleeping soul, "It is weaker, but possesses the same qualities as this soul."

"Yes..." she whispered.

"This will do then. This soul may not contain the same power, but that I can fix in time," Stormcaller said, placing the spirit orb inside the eggs before creating another with the new soul, "Send my regards to Moonlight, she knows how to choose an apprentice."

"Thank you." she said as she disconnected.  She then began to speak hysterically in another language.

"The ten other elementals will cross your path in time, be prepared to do anything should you need to defy them as you have with me," Stormcaller said, "Gladeskeeper and Windsinger will bewaiting for you when you reach them."

"Thank you for giving me the chance to save this egg..." she told him.  She then got up.  "I think I shall take my leave now, Asmada.  My mission has been complete..." she said with a smile.  She had saved the egg from death, now she wished she could stay to protect it.  She then proceeded to walk out the cave.

"I wish the bestof days to you," ASmada called out before returning to his meal.

"What happened to cause you to run off like that," Clair asked once Goldenscale returned, "Were you able to save our egg?"

Goldenscale smiled.  "I did it..." she said quietly.  She then placed the egg in Clair's arms.  "Took me a while, but for the first time, I was able to save something from death..."  She then began to laugh joyously.

"Thank you so much for bringing life back to our egg," CLair said, gentily hugging the egg before removing the silk blanket and placing it among the other two, "I don't care how you did it, I'm just glad you could. I will make sure they know who you are and what you've done for us once they hatch."
