Looking back up, Corazon gave a nod. "That would be a good idea, all things considered. Spring may have just begun, but that only increases the danger of digging through the snow. Until it's all melted away, there's still the risk of avalanches and other snow related dangers," she said, sweeping the piles she had made off into the main body of snow, "I don't know what all you would need, but we needa little of everything. Winter this year was rough, and took its toll on our supplies. Most of this spring will likely be spent restoring out stocks of medical herbs and materials this year."
"We don't need too much. Since our next destination will be on the other side of the desert, our main concern will be maintaining our food and water supplies. That being said, we will want to have supplies on hand to take care of any cuts or illnesses we might run into," Ahnah said, rolling up a small clump of snow, and carving a face into it using a claw, "Once we get back, and have everything put away, I'd be willing to join you in the snow though. It doesn't snow all that often back home, let alone any of it be worth doing anything with short of building a wall of ice."

Goldenscale gave a nod in agreement. Avalanches were most certainly a problem, and it wouldn't just be her that would have a problem. "Even if the snow melts, there could be mudslides from all the water that had seeped into the ground. I feel as though mudslides would be worse just because it's so thick." she said. As Corazon spoke, she listened, then turned to Ahnah as she replied. After she finished, Goldenscale gave a shrug. "I'll help however I can. I guess we'll need some more provisions and water, so I could do see if I can find some fruits and veggies to pack." she said, not sure how to help out. "But when we finish, I guess I'll join you in the snow. As I said before I might not be able to play long though."

LIghting up a bit, Corazon gave a nod."That is a very real risk, but we wont have to worry about those for a few days. As for fruits and veggies, you wont find too much short of the occasional berry bush or root plant like carrots near the rivers. I will advice that you stay away from any red berries, if they're not poisonous, they're hallucinagenic," she said, composing herself, "We should be able to find medical supplies in the same general area as provisions. We shouldn't be too far from each other should something happen."
"That'll be good then. Between the three of us, we should be able to get everything we need, and be able to keep an eye on the surroundsings. We could probably get Kade to join us for extra security given his affinity. He aught to be able to sense the changes in the snow and ice long before we can," Ahnah said, nodding to the Lykos sitting outside the Shamman's hut, "Never hurts to be careful when it comes to gathering resources in the snow though."

(Sorry for the late post. I was busy, and then when I wasn't I was usually too tired to post. I haven't been able to get enough sleep. I hope everything's been going well for you, and your Easter was good.)
Goldenscale gave a sigh of relief when Corazon said the mudslides wouldn't appear until after they would be gone, but then gave a sigh when she said that the wouldn't find much when it came to fruits and vegetables. Well, maybe if she really wanted to, she could grow a couple of bushes for her to pick berries from. But she needed to reserve her energy so she would probably just search for edible roots in the ground near any creeks. "It's good to know. I'd rather not poison myself or induce any hallucinations. That would only hinder our journey, and I would rather not be the cause of that... Though that would give Ahnah some time to enjoy the festival..." she said as she thought.
She then gave a nod to Ahnah. "I would hope we'd be able to get everything we need. I guess I could always fly back to the town we stopped in the first place if we need something that's not here, but Kade's affinity is definitely handy. I'll keep an ear out for anything out of the ordinary. We can't afford to loose any time, even in the beginning. Even though we have a long time span, we wouldn't have any idea how long we'd be out of action." she said with a snort.

((It's fine. My Easter was great, I was able to see and talk with a few cousins I haven't seen in a good while. I d hope your's was just as good or better though))
"While it is true that we could backtrack to get supplies, doing so wouldn't be the best use of time. We should be able to find plenty of food and supplies though. We need only to find a seed or root of each we need to ensure we have it when we do need it.So long as we have a seed or root, we should be able to grow a new plant with the help of magic later on," Ahnah said before letting a yawn, "That being said, we might want to act quickly on gathering supplies. We will need to get to sleep early to catch up on what we missed last night, and to make sure we're up and ready to go by day break."
"Speaking of getting some rest, you might want to stay here Ahnah, and do just that. You've been going for quite some time, and I'm sure the Final Right took plenty out of you as well. I'm sure Goldenscale will be able to find enough with Kaden's and my help," Corazon said, pausing when she saw Midnight making her way over.
"I could always help. I may not know what exactlyto look for, but I could always help collect whatever you find. I mean this journey is just as much mine as it is yours, I might as well start pulling my own weight here," Midnight said, "Besides, Corazon is right, you have been very active for someone who has had no sleep for the day."

(That's great! My Easter was okay. I had to spend my afternoon helping my dad thatch our front yard, but it wasn't bad. I spent the morning playing on my laptop since I have one now.)
Goldenscale listened to Ahnah and gave a nod in agreement. "That is very true. As soon as we have a seed or a root, we can use it when we need it, and I could harvest more seeds and roots for later on. It would be a good way to conserve supplies and make sure we can get ourselves out of a tough spot." she said before noticing Ahnah yawning. She did have a point about getting sleep before they had to leave, but she felt fine. Ahnah probably needed to get more sleep though since she looked tired and her aura gave of exhaustion.
Hearing Corazon speak to Ahnah, she looked to her, giving a snort. "Yeah, I agree with Corazon. You should get some rest Ahnah. You've been busy all morning and you've been mourning. You need to let yourself rest. I'm sure we'll do just fine with everyone's help." she said with a smile before placing a wing on Ahnah's back.
When Midnight arrived, Goldenscale turned to her and gave a smile. "You are more than welcome to help us Midnight. We could use all the help we can get. And you've been pulling your own weight just fine." she said before nuzzling Ahnah. "Go get some rest. As much as I'd love to carry you tomorrow, I don't know if we'll run into any problems, so we need everyone as rested as we can get." she purred.

Looking from Goldenscale and Corazon to Midnight, Ahnah chuckled before nodding. "I would argue with you, but that wouldn't solve anything. That, and you make a good point," she said, nuzzling into Goldenscale's neck, "Just promise that you'll be careful out there. The air may be warming up, but the ground will still be cold from the snow and melting ice. Last thing I want o hear is that something happened to you out there."
"Don't worry her Ahnah, I'm sure she can handle herself just fine. Besides, I doubt that this will be anywhere near a difficult to do as making it through the Fortress of Ends. If something does go wrong out there, I'm sure that at least one of us will be able to warn the others before it can cause anyone harm," Corazon said, giving Ahnah a nudge, "Besides, it will be noon soon. I don't think the snow and ice will drain enough heat to outpace that produced by the sun."
"Alright, I'll go inform Kaden then. We'll meet you two over at the village gate," Midnight said, giving a nod. "And don't worry Ahnah, we should be fine with the four of us working together," she said before heading off to get Kaden.

Goldenscale gave a purr and nodded to Ahnah. "I'll do my best to stay out of trouble and stay safe while you're resting. I'd rather you not worry about me while I'm out. Besides, I'll know if something'll happen. I have my connections." she said softly, giving Ahnah another nuzzle before she fluffed her feathers.
The dragoness then looked to Midnight as she spoke and gave a chuckle. "I'd hope that the snow wouldn't drain more heat than the sun can provide, but if it does, I'll either come straight back here, or I'll shift to something that produces more heat. I'd rather not leave the others to get everything if I can help it. But no matter what happens, I'm sure I'll come out fine." she purred. She then gave Midnight a nod as she went off to find Kaden to aid in their search. "Now you go rest up, love." she purred as she nudged Ahnah.

"You know better than to tell me not to worry. Regardless, all I can say is stay safe. If you need me, you still have the crystal given to you by the Council. All things being said, there's shouldn't be any dangers other than the shifting snow and ice. The yeties will have all went into hibernation by now," Ahnah said before giving another yawn. Looking to Corazon, she gave a smile . "You stay safe as well Sis. This village needs you, now more than ever. Deniigi will need your support if there's going to be any changes done around here." With a final nod, Ahnah made her way towards Deniigi's old hut.
"It's going to be a long road ahead of us, but change will come as it does," Corazon muttered before lookingb ack to Goldenscale. "Well, we should probably head out now if we want to be back before dark. The day may be warm, but the nights will still remain freezing for a few more days," she said, "Thankfullly, most of the stuff we're looking for isn't too far from here, but a few will take us up the nearby mountain a good ways."

Goldenscale gave a chuckle. "I know, I just say it out of habit. I will do everything in my power to stay safe. For your sake, our mission and coming back alive." she said. She then watched as Ahnah spoke to her sister, then finally left. Ahnah needed to rest, and she was glad that her friend and beloved was finally going to do so. When Corazon began speaking to her, she looked back and perked her earsas she listened. With a nod of agreement, she looked the sun to get a feel of how long they had. "That would be a smart idea. It would be best to find what we can here for now, and we can hope we'll have time to find anything farther out. If we don't, I'm sure I could summon some light for us to go by. It's fairly easy and requires little energy for me to use. But we should get started." she said with a nod a she stood and shook her scales and feathers.

"Even if we need light, it's a simple enough spell to create a tethered light. It would just be a matter of who creates the light first. We shouldn't need to be out too late in the dark though. While the yeties may be hibernating, nights only gets more dangerous in the spring around here as all the other creatures wake form the winter slumber," Corazon said with a nod before leading the way out, "If it can be helped, we wont be spending much time out here once night falls. I may not have had emotions before, but I never did want to stay out in the dark. I still can't quite place the feeling, but the idea just doesn't feel right. It makes me feel like I should avoid it completly."
"That feeling would be fear, and it's typically driven by instinct. If you mind is telling you you shouldn't stay out in the dark, then there's probably a good reason for that," Kaden stated, his fur looking more like spiked armor now that it was covered in ice, "Between the four of us, we shouldn't be out there too long anyways. Midnight and I have decided we'd stick together. If somethign happens, I will be able to get Midnight to safety while you two do the same."
"To be honest, I hope nothing happens. I'd rather not have to worry about everything. At least in the dark, I'll be able to make the best of my new abilities so we wont have to worry about much should night fall," Midnight said, stretching before starting to fallow, "Regardless, it'll be nice to get out and actually do something other than solve puzzles."

Goldenscale listened to Corazon as she spoke, following her. It was best to take her word and not stay out seeing as she had no clue what animals or creatures lived in this particular biome. "I'll trust you on that. There are quite a few different beings that are more active at night from what I can understand. If there's anything we don't get today, I guess we can get up early in the morning when it's light out and quickly get it before we go off. But for now, I guess we'll just have to use our time wisely." she said. When Kaden started taking she gave a shrug. "It couls just be a strong cautiousness and awareness for the area. I used to get those feelings all the time, but I don't necessarily fear them. It's a good thing to pay attention to nonetheless though." she said. She then looked to Midnight as she began talking, she gave a nod. "Just be careful when you use your abilities. You never know what could happen." she added with a shrug. "Alright, what would we be getting first?"

Thinking over what Goldenscale and Kaden said, Corazon gave a nod before leading the way out. "Whatever the feeling was or is, you both make good points. Either way, it was a warning not to stay out in the dark, simple as that," she said, taking a ddeep breath to clear her thoughts, "OUr first target though would likely be food and the minor medical supplies. They can be found just about anywhere, assuming one can snif them out under the snow. The more potent supplies will be on the mountain side."
"That shouldn't be an issue then. I should be able to accomplish that litterally.I'm sur eyou have your own way of tracking down plants and roots in the snow," Kaden said, glancing around as they approach the edge of the neighboring forest, "As far as food goes, I would think we'd be looking for root plants. Those are about the only plants I cna think of that would be edible after a winter stasis. I can't say I know what to look for when it comes to medical supplies though. My kind relies on using ice to fix wounds, and our fortitude to push through illness."
"Well, in that case, Goldenscale and I can focus on the medical stuff while you and Midnight work on food then. Like I told Goldenscale though, avoid the berries as best you can, they'll only cause trouble," Corazon said before turning to Goldenscale, "As for us, we'll be looking for all kinds of mint. We mostly want pepermint, but we're more likely to find the varients that make it than that type specifically."

Goldenscale gave a single nod in response to what Corazon said. She could indeed sniff what was needed in the snow. It smelled like water to her, and while some scents were easier to find than others, she had confidence they would be able to find what they needed. As Kaden spoke, she listened, though she also kept herself aware of whatever she could find on their way. It was intersting learning that Kaden used the snow to heal their wounds. While it was indeed clean water that could be used for cleaning wounds, it made sense that an Ice being like Kaden could use more of it to his advantage. "If there are any berries you come across, I can look at them later to see if they're good to eat or not. I can sometimes tell by the smell whether they are good to eat or not. But until then, we should all do our best~" she said happily.
