"What happens then will be known only to time. Regardless, the future is what we make it. Even those who can see into the futures only see one possibility, and what they say about it should be taken with a grain of salt. There are very few who can see every possible future, and it will drive them insane without fail," Corazon said, giving a nod, "Well, once we're done praying here, Deniigi and I would like to talk about where you two came from. You and Ahnah have spoken a little about the changes that have come about there, but not much about the place itself."

Goldenscale listened, giving a soft snort in agreement to her statement.  "The future is indeed something that cannot be foreseen.  To go insane would be an understatement, I would believe.  The possibilities of the future would range from hundreds of thousands of different outcomes, each from a decision that could be made.  I wouldn't want to even have a hint as to what madness that would bring.  Nothing would be left of the mind in such a venture..." she said, shivering a little at the possibilities.  She then turned back to Corazon as she spoke again.  "Of course," she answered, "I would be more than happy to answer any question you many have, though I do believe Ahnah would be more helpful than I.  I have only been at that cave for a short time in comparison to her."

"I see. Well, I'm sure you have your own place or origin. All we relly know about your is what you've done here, and what little has been said by Moonlight. Regardless, the Flower is set up and ready for us to pray at. We can talk more after we've finished out business," Corazon said, giving a nob before making her way over to Ahnah and teh villagers to join them.

Goldenscale gave a nod to Corazon, standing up when she saw the Flower had been set up.  Following Corazon, she went over to the circle, admiring everything as she awaited what would happen next.

When the incens finally caught a strong burn in both bowls, the wood lining out the Flower took on a faint blue sheen. "Alright, it is ready. Let our prayers be heard, and those we pray for have safe passage," Ahnah said before stepping back from the edge of the Flower to take her place beside Goldenscale. "If you're wanting to pray, now would be the best time. A Flower of this size will convey them much more clearly than the smaller ones we were using," she said, taking a seat before starting to pray along side the villagers.

Goldenscale looked at the flower in awe when she noticed the sheen.  As much as she wanted to ask about it, she help her tongue, knowing it would be better to just sit and pray, then ask when it was over.  When Ahnah spoke to her, she gave a small nod.  "I think I'll pray for Aga, then for Frost again, if this conveys things more clearly." she said before doing the same as Ahnah.

As the incense burned, the sheen over the wood slowly obscured the wood itself. As time went by, the wood slowly shrank away, only stopping when the incense burned out, leaving behind the cores. Once the incense finished smoldering, the villagers stood from their places, and began to collect what remained of the wood.

"Wel, that was not what I expected it to be like at all. I can see why it's only ever used on such rare ocasions," Corazon said, standing up.

"I can only say I've seen it used once before. All things considered, it takes a lot of resources to set up in comparison to what it's used for," Ahnah said, standing up herself before turning to Goldenscale. "Well, I do hope this has given you some insight into how we view life and death, or at least the importance such rituals hold for us," she said, picking up the silver holder, "Now that I have a more permenant holder to use, I'll probably be more active in these practices from now on."

Goldenscale finished praying and opened her eyes, having 'said' the same things as the first time. As she opened her eyes again, she noticed the wood slowly burning. It interested her in how it could decay and not hinder anything. Then again, this was different than what she knew, so it certainly could be able of working here. When Corazon spoke, she gave a nod in agreement. "Well, it was certainly cool to me though." she said happily. She then turned to Ahnah as she spoke, giving a purr. "Even though it does take much supplies , how often has it been used?" she asked. After going from Ahnah to the holder, she twiddled her thumbs. "That sounds nice.... Do you mind if I join you in that? I think it's really neat..." she said softly.

"Given that this is the first time I've seen this Flower in use, I'd say it's very rare that we use it.It's kind of strange that it seems to burn at the wood used though," Corazon said, picking up the remains of one of the larger logs used, "I guess creating such a large conduit into nature's flow of energy currodes physical objects."

Giving a smile, Ahnah walked over to be at Goldenscale's side."I would be glad if you joined me. It's a practice best done in groups, be it friends or family, and having you join in would be nice," she said, placing a wing over Goldenscale's back, "As for the Flower here, it's my understanding that it is only used when something requires the entire village to pray at once, or for something like what we just did for Aga. I would guess it would be used mostly for making direct contact with spirits to call upon them."

Goldenscale gave a shrug.  "Everything is different, but no matter what energy is needed.  I wuold think the wood is used as fuel for the spiritual fire, since having something so big would be taxing on our energy.  But I'm not familiar with what you all do or what you use, so I'm just giving my opinion." she said.  She then looked over as Ahnah made her way over, smiling at her in return.  "I'm glad you'll have me.  It's a nice practice to get into." she said with a purr, looking at her and listening as she spoke again.  Having her question answered, she only gave a nod, beginning to purr in content.

"To be honest, I wouldn't really know what causes the decay, but it's something we just accept. I suspect it's knowledge that's been lost to time by now," Corazon said, giving a nod, "Out of all of us here, the only one I can think of knowing the reason for the decay would be Deniigi or Alignak. For now, I would think we'd best leave it be. No sense pursueing something wich doesn't really affect us."

"It's a humble practice, if a bit expensive if there's no immediate sorce of natural insence. Most groups, be them human, dragon, or otherwise seem to place great value on the plants used to make it," Ahnah said before giving a nod to Corazon, "I would think the decay would be something to ask Moonlight or Sunlight about next time we're given the chance. If there's anyone who'd know, it would be the Greater Spirits who have observed the practice since its beginning."

Goldenscale gave a nod, agreeing with Corazon.  The decaying of the wood indeed didn't affect them.  Though it made her curious, the golden dragon stopped thinking about it.  There was always the possibility of her figuring that out after they returned back home.  As Ahnah spoke, she turned to herand gave a hum.  "Maybe you could tell me what plants are used in making it and I could ask some of my friends if they've seen any.  If anything, there's always springtime.  I could grow some then." she said with a shrug.  She then gave a gasp as she was reminded of the possibility of Moonlight or Sunlight being potential sources of information.  "That is very true.  But I've called on her enough times already, so I'll wait until a later date." she said.

"It will probably be when we meet up with Zolata before we get a good chance at asking Moonlight or Sunlight questions. That being said, there's no telling if either of us will be forced to call upon Moonlight along the way. Regardless, neither would be good times to be asking questions of such trivial nature," Ahnah said, giving a nod, "As for the plants, we can discus that along the way. We should have enough in our supplies to last us a few weeks anyways. It's be best if we saved our energy for protecting ourselves and each other."

"I would hope that you all wont have to fight anything, but the world is full of dangers of all kinds. To think you would be completely safe would be foolish," Corazon said, gathering up some of the snow into neat piles, "Well, seeing how you all will be leaving tomorrow morning, what say we enjoy the first winds of spring? The snow is starting to soften and is perfect for playing in."

Goldenscale gave a nod at Ahnah's words. As much as she liked calling on Moonlight to talk to her and ask questions, she had a job to do. Calling her down usually kept her from her job, and what she wanted to ask really had no benifit except for a minor knowledge enhancement, so she was content for the moment. And it was true there will probably be other times for her to ask her question. But it really didn't matter to her if it got answered since there were more pressing matters to worry about. "Energy is always needed, so every bit that can be saved gives us greater odds of survival." she said with a small purr. As Corazon spoke, she turned to look at her, giving a small chuckle. "Well, it is a pleasing thought. Fighting doesn't solve anything, but it is necessary to come out alive. But while we probably will be fighting later on, I do hope we don't fight too much." she purred. At Corazon's suggestion, she fidgeted uncomfortably. "Well... To tell the truth, I've never played in any kind of snow before... I've been afraid of it for so long because of how little heat my body retains that I've just never dared to play in it...." she said softly.

"Well, if we choose our routes carefully, we should be able to avoid most confrontation. That being said, we should always be ready to fight. There's no telling when bandits or similar groups might attack, or minions of the Shade for that matter. The farther we get in our journey, the more likely it is that the Shade will notice our efforts, and the more likely it is we'll have to deal with its forces," Ahnah said before shaking her head, "As for playing in the snow, I'll have to decline. There are things that need to be done, and supplies that need to be gathered. Food shouldn't be an issue with there being four of us traveling together, but medical supplies are in short supply."

"Oh.... well. I'm sorry if that seemed rude then. I keep forgetting that you're not  from around here, let alone a champion of Moonlight. I know not what all difference there are between you and us, be it due to where you grew up or otherwise," Corazon said, lowering her head a little. Looking to Ahnah as she spoke, she looked to the snow at her feet. "Alright, just thaught I'd offer. Medical supplies are very important to those who travel so collect what you can. On that note, I should probably gather up what I can as well. WIth spring coming , allergies and other such illnesses will be cropping up soon as well," she said.
