Once Moonlight was gone, Ahnah looked to Goldenscale. "This box contains several things, but what one of them is something that needs to be shared," she said, opening the box. Inside the box, trinkets and small items of all  kinds were packed into the small space. Sitting in the center, a small crystal blue orb gave of a soft energy. Taking the orb, Ahnah walked over to the fire and placed it within the coals efore returning to Goldenscale's side.

After a few moments, the smoke from the fire began glow the same faint blue of the crystal, gathering into shapes until Aga's form could be made out against a background of stone and snow. Seeing this, Ahnah seemed to tense up.

"Alright, I hope this works. Ahnah, Alignak, if you're seeing this, then I have passed . You may feel the need to morne, but I don't want there to be tears. I'm making this memory sphere as my last will," Aga said, her form becoming smaller as she backed away from whatever was recording the event, "Alignak, you were always one to be strict rules and tradition, but you had a heart of gold for those you loved. If you're seeing this, I'd like you to show our daughter that same love for once rather than hiding it should she ever return. Ahnah, if you're seeing this, I'd like you to know I don't hold it against you for running away. I tried my best to make what Alignak was putting you through bearable, but I failed. All I ask is that you forgive me for not trying hard enough. Your father loved you very deeply, even if he doesn't show it. The first night you were gone, he spent the night communing with the spirits trying to figure out if you were safe or not."  Approaching the recorder, Aga's form stopped just in front of it, blocking view of the background. "Ahnah, you will likely have a brother or sister there with you when you see this, but I can not tell the future. If there is,  please promise to always love them. I have no way to tell if Alignak will hold his promise, but they will need someone who will show them love in my absence," she said as the image began to fade, "I hope this message reaches you both. I couldn't have asked for better people to love, even after everything that has happened." When the recording fully faded out, the smoke from the fire returned to normal, and the orb's glow faded as well.

Remaining silent, Ahnah began to shake as tears began to matt the fur around her eyes. Leaning against Goldenscale, she held the box close to her chest as her shaking grew more noticable.

Retrieving the orb from the coals, Alignak made his way over to Ahnah. Placing the orb back in the box, he seemed just as stricken by the message. Placing a wing over Ahnah and Goldenscale, he lightly pressed his forehead against Ahnah's.

(Man, that was heavy.  Even I teared up at that post...)

Goldenscale nodded as Ahnah opened the box and took out an orb.  It was a pretty little thing and it gave off an energy that felt familiar, but couldn't place.  She watched Ahnah move from her side to place the strange sphere in the center of the fire, then watched with awe as a figure formed from the smoke.  That must have been Aga from an earlier time in her life.  Feeling Ahnah tense up besides her, Goldenscale placed a wing over her.  The message that was being played was beautiful, but it also was heartwrenching.  She had never met this being, and yet... she could feel all the love pouring from Ahnah's mother as she spoke.  When the message ended, she looked to Ahnah and nuzzled her, feeling the grief that had been renewed by the message.  She tightened her wing around her, then watched Alignak as he took the orb from the fire and placed it in the box before pressing his forehead against his daughter's.  Feeling the grief from both their auras made her felt sad, and her feathered ears went back as she turned to look at the ground so Ahnah and Alignak could mourn.

((It's not the type of thing I get to write out all too often. I've started writing out ideas in a notebook, and this felt like a good time to pull insperation from them.))

"So, that what she used that sphere for. I couldn't have guessed it would have been used in this manner," Deniigi muttered once the message ended, "She didn't lie when she said it was important."

As the grief from their auras faded, Alignak and Ahnah gradually calmed back down. One she had brought herself back around, Ahnah looked back to Goldenscale. "Thank you for relaying mother's message. Niether father or I would have thought to look for this box out near the Fortress of Ends," she said, starting to stand up, "I now have greater reason to make sure we survive this jouney. If not for your or myself, then to make sure Aga's last will is kept true."  "For now, I should focus on the present though. I need to start working on my end of the ritual. I only have this night to get prepared," she said, getting a nod from Deniigi. Making her way outside, she took to the air to start gathering the needed materials.

Once Ahnah was out of earshot,, Alignak turned to Goldenscale. "Thank you for bringing Ahnah back here, even if this wasn't the intention. You've brought a happiness to Aga in her last hours that has been abscent for years, and you've brought this family together in ways we've only seen in other families," he said, taking the box and handing it to Goldenscale for her to keep safe, "Aga would have loved to have met you in true person. You would have gotten along with her for sure."

Standing up, Corazon quietly left the building, stepping out into the darkness of night. Taking out a piece of bone, she gripped it with both hands before starting a small prayer. Inside the building, a golden light could be seen shiing under and around tehdoor she had left through.

(That was very well written.  It isn't often I cry reading posts, and that was just beautiful.)

When Ahnah and Alignak calmed down, Goldenscale's ears went back up again and she lifted her head to look at Ahnah.  She gave a soft smile after Ahnah spoke.  "I was only doing as I was told." she answered.  As Ahnah got up, she removed her wing and folded it against her body, then watched as Ahnah left.  Hearing Alignak speak, she turned her head to face him, smiling when he finished.  "It was Ahnah who suggested we come here first, just so we wouldn't have to deal with it later.  But I'm glad we were able to bring Aga happiness in her final momentals and bring a family together again." she said with a snod.  As Alignak handed her the box, she sat up and placed it in her lap, her small body wrapping around it.  "I would have liked to.  From what Ahnah told me, she was a wonderful person."  Upon seeing the light underneath the door, her ears perked up.  "What's the light for?  It isn't daytime..." she wondered to herself.

Looking back towards the door, Alignak only smiled. "Corazon is probably trying to contact Sunlight. A shaman's focus usually emmits a bright light when they try to contact the spirit they're sworn to. The light itself seems more base on the spirit that the user though," he said, moving back to his previous seat, "Whatever her question is, it's none of my business until she brings it to me. I'm sure she's still adjusting to having emotions, and I'm guessing that's what she's going to ask about." "I must ask. You give off an aura that reminds me of the guards of the village, yet it also feels like that of a shaman," he said, "Your connection with Moonlight is strong. How long have you been under her watch?"

Goldenscale listened to Alignak as he answered her question, then looked back at the door.  It was strange how shamans emit light when focusing, but she had done similar things in the past, or that's what her other families had said.  And of course she understood the part about questioning.  "Some things need to be figured out on their own." she said with a shrug.  She chuckled at the observation Alignak made about her, then sighed.  "I actually never knew I was under her watch until a couple months ago.  Before, I only thought she was a friend who came at random intervals, though now it seems as though I must have called her without knowing it.  But we have similar ideals and morals, even though she never taught them to me, thus our strong connection." she explained.

"You seeing her as a friends first is probably a relief to her. People are more likely to worship a great spirit than see them as any form of person. To have someone who sees her as such a personal thing might have been relieving. When everyone has such high expectations of you, it becomes hard to feel like a person," Alignak said, giving a nod, "The same kind of expectations played greatly in my actions in the past. I let it go to my head, and it eventually became who I was."

"It didn't help that you started separating yourself form the rest of the people, but it's good to see yuo going back to how you used to be," Deniigi said, walking in from the back room with several stones. Gathering up some of the ashes, he began drawing out runes on the stone, "I plan to keep the people close. I'd rather have them come to me directly rather than making a scene over an issue."

As the light faded from around the door, Corazon made her way back inside. Fallowing her inside, a wingless dragon of bright orange scales looked around before giving a smile. "So, this place has change greatly in the last few days. The aura of the people that live here is much lighter than my last visit," it said before noticing Goldenscale, "So, you must be the one Moonlight has been devoting so much attention to these past couple years. I'm pleased to hear of your accomplishments here. I was hoping one of oursave spirits would come here, but it seems Moonlight won that race," it chuckled, taking a seat near the fire, "Corazon tells me that you could use a little assistance from me. She doesn't know much about your quest, but thought I might be able to provide something."

Goldenscale nodded and chirped.  "It has been wonderful.  She always seems so happy when I call on her, so maybe that's why.  And having that sort of power can cause a person to let it go to their head..." she said with a shrug.  At hearing Deniigi speak, she turned her head and listened.  What he said had been very true.  Separating yourself from the people tended to make people distant and unable to truly help people.  "That would be nice.  If people become distant, they forget what it's like to commune with others, and friendship is lost.  That's something that should be kept." she said with a smile.  She then heard a strange voice inside the room and saw the new dragon, smiling.  Well, based on what Moonlight had told her, that must have been Sunlight.  He sure did look like he was made of light itself.  "I am the one she dotes on. And Moonlight wasn't really the one who directed us here.  We cam of our own choosing." she said with a laugh. She then sighed and nodded.  "Yeah, some help would be nice.  Moonlight tried, but she seems to have stuff jumbled up and ended up confusing everything..." she answered.

"Well, I'm affraid I wont be much more help than Moonlight wasm but I can try," Sunlight said, giving a nod, "Moonlight and I share most of the same sources of information so you may get the same answer form me. Only think I could help you specifically with would be locating one of my saved spirits."

"That would be something we'd be interested in, but we can get to that later," Kaden said, laying down and resting his head on his paws, "I feel it's not our place to ask for that given Corazon called you here."

"I called him here for personal reasons, but don't feel that you're taking time away from me. I've already asked what I needed, and he's decided to stay to try helping you all," Corazon said, getting a nod from Sunlight.

"Yes, feel free to ask what you need. Your quest is of great importance to nature. If I can help you, then that's one less thing you need to worry about," Sunlight said, "Kyne's return would be a benefit to everyone, and we'd all be better off with that."

Goldenscale looked down, but gave a nod.  Finding another spirit might be helpful, but she didn't know how long it would take to find them, or where to meet up with them if they were traveling.  She then listened to Kaden as he spoke, then to Corazon as she answered him.  t warmed her heart how both Moonlight and Sunlight would answer questions and help everyone when the elementals mainly did that for their own.  When Sunlight told them to ask what they wanted, she gave a sigh and looked down at the ground.  "I don't know what to ask anymore.  Moonlight confused me greatly, and it will be a while before it clears..." she said with a sigh.  "But from what I understand, it would be better to wait until after the journey to get questions answered, right?" she asked.

"That would rely on what you're wanting to ask. Most information regarding the affinities would be rendered outdated when Kyne returns. Moonlight and myself wouldn't be that affected by her return, but we would have much more free time to tend to our fallowers and saved spirits," Sunlight said, giving a nod, "It would be best to wait till you've sorted out your quests to some extent. A clear train of thought will make finding answers easier."

"That's true.  I'll just wait until then to get those answers then.  It may be a while, but at least it will be accurate.  Moonlight answered my other questions." she said with a smile.  She then looked to Kaden.  "Anything you need to ask then.  I don't have anything." she said, resting her cheek on the box that sat on her lap.  She had almost forgotten it was there, but at least it was in her lap and not in some forgotten corner of the room.

"Well, with Goldenscale here being Moonlight's equivalent of a champion, we're only need to fine yours. The only problem is that we have no idea where they might be," Kaden said, pausing a moment to yawn, "If it isn't too prying, would it be possible for you to direct us to the one you would consider your champion?"

"No, it's fine. Where Moonlight was working with Goldenscale here, I've been spending my time with a cockatrice named Zolata. He lives at the edge of a forest called the Tangled Wood. You should meet up with them on your travels since you'll need to pass through there to get at the shadow rune," Sunlight said, conjuring up an image of a golden cockatrice. Relinquishing the image, he pulled out a silver feather from the image's remaining field of magic. "Here, you should take this. Zolata is rather cautious around strangers to the Wood. That feather will signify that you have my favor to him," he said, handing the fefather over to Goldenscale.

(I feel like I'm always playing too few amounts of characters...  Is there some way I can change that?  I feel bad cause of it...)

Goldenscale gave a nod at Kaden's question, knowing it would be a wise idea to fine Sunlight's champion.  When Sunlight produced an image of the cockatrice, Goldenscale made sure to memorize everything she could to help discern him from any other golden colored cockatrice.  "I'll make sure to keep it safe." she told Sunlight as she gently took the feather and placed it in the bunch of feathers near the "wrist" of her wing.  "Zolata, Zolata, Zolata, Zolata." she said, chanting the name to herself so she.wouldn't forget Sunlight's champion's name.  If she forgot, she would feel terrible since being a champion herself, she would want her name remembered.  She hoped she'd remember it...

((Sure, feel free to bring in a character whenever you feel. When I used to play with my cousin, we would always be adding in characters so it doesn't bother me when someone brings in a character of their own. So long as the character isn't perfect, I'm fine with you bringing in another character.))

"I'm sure you will. When you meet him, he may seem familiar in essence. It may help you to remember the cockatrices you had once spent time with. The only time I got to observe you, was when you were with them. It was there that I caught Zolata's soul," Sunlight said, chuckling when he looked over to see Corazon dozing off, "I pray for your success. I don't know about Moonlight, but I'd like to be able to spend more time with the souls I've saved. I haven't had a chance to spent time with those that are still alive in a long time. Even my time with Zolata has been short. While I have spent more time with him than the others, it has been staggered over what time I can manage."
