(Alright, I'll be sure to do so when I remember to and it seems like a good time.  I'm sure I can think of something along the way.)

Goldenscale's eyes lit up when she remembered her Cockatrice family.  They had tried so hard to make her fir in, and they were her first family.  She had loved them as dearly as she had all her families, and was sure that she would remember this other cockatrice's aura.  "I'm sure he will be familiar.  I remember quite a few auras from that time, and every other time.  But he probably won't recognise me.  Maybe I'll find a few friends there with him." she said with a chuckle, chirping with excitement.  She then followed Sunlight's gaze to Corazon and smiled before listening to what he said next.  "Thank you.  Moonlight says the same, and hopefully if we can complete this quest the both of you can do that.  I loved how Moonlight was always there when I called her, even though I never really knew she was a spirit that had tons of work.  I'm sure all the other spirits would love the visits as well." she said with a nod.

"Yes, I'm sure they would. As for Zolata's memory, I'm afraid that he doesn't remember anything beyond his name and a handful of sounds from his previous life. As for friends, he has many within the Tangled Wood. I don't know if you would know any of them, but it's worth looking into if you have the chance while there," Sunlight said, gentily moving Corazon off of his side and onto a set of pillows, "You might find his anchor to nature quite different from yours or Midnight's. I took a little more time in reforming Zolata's being. Where Moonlight used a flower to house your tie to nature, I used a piece of Agate to house his being and connecction to nature. It has led to some interesting results to say the least."

"That's understandable.  I didn't know of my previous life until I met her spirit, and that was both unexpected and harsh.  It might be better that he doesn't remember, lest he remember something unpleasant.  And many cockatrices left this forest years ago in search of someplace new.  A few of my friends left, though I didn't have many at the time.  I'm sure I'll find someone." she said.  She then chuckled at Sunlight's next statement.  "That would be interesting to see.  I hope that it proves to be easier to look after than a flower.  The forest back home and I had to use tons of magic to keep it safe and hidden from the world unless I wish it to be known, so I wonder how he keeps his safe..." she wondered.

"He protects it with his entire being. While the agate is strong in its own right, it still has the same weaknesses of other stones without crystaline structures. With it being planted firmly on his forehead, he tends to be careful about exposing his head during fights," Sunlight said, cunjuring up an image of a smooth round stone. "An interesting thing I've found with using a mineral rather than a plant is that his physical form seems to be a image put form by his mind. While he's still susceptable to ageing from what I've seen, he seems to be able to recover from even the most dire of injuries by retreating back into the stone for a time," he said as the image he had made demonstrated, "While I'd like to experiment with this again, I feel that this might go against Kyne's will. I willneed to wait till her return before trying this again."

"From the sounds of it, Zolata could be a tricky person to put down if he can just regenerate his entire being. In the same breath, it also sounds like he would be just as in tune with nature as Goldenscale here, if not on a more personal level," Deniigi stated before breathing ice over the stones he had been painting runes onto, "I may ot be an Affinity or Spirit of nature, but having such a being exist would mean a whole new way of saving souls."

"That was the idea, but I feel it might be something Kyne would have warned against," Sunlight said, giving a nod, "It doesn't change how I'll treat Zolata, but I'll refraim from using stones and minerals when saving a souldfor the time being."

Goldenscale listened, intrigued with what Sunlight had done with Zolata.  It didn't seem right to her, but it was interesting none the less.  She did have to ability to shape-shift herself, but she didn't do it often because shehad no reason to.  When he said he would like to experiment with it again, she sighed.  Hearing Deniigi agree with Sunlight's last statement, she gave a nod.  "I think that it might go against Kyne's will.  While I am also an experiment of Moonlight's and she has done much more with bringing me back, even she has given me flaws to balance my strengths and weaknesses.  And to be honest, I don't understand how he could be more in tune with nature than I.  His soulstone is from the earth, yes, but it isn't exactly interracting with the environment.  Please do excuse my ignorance of the subject." she said with a bow of her head.  She then nodded after Sunlight finished speaking.  "I would think that to be the best idea.  Then when she does arise, you can speak to her of your new idea.  From there you should be able to have a clear idea of what to do an what not to do." she said with a shrug.

"Well, with his entire being being projected form the stone, he has had to find ways to form symbiotic ralations with the plants and creatures around him. As he is, he can't exactly take in nutrients and energy by consumption like you or Midnight. When I first revived hime, he nearly passed before a cluster of vines formed a bond with him. Since then, he's been growing stronger through creating a network of vines and fungus throughout the Tangled Wood," Sunlight said, giving a nod, "For now, he's going to be the only one of his like. Until Kyne's returne, I'm going to avoid reviving another in such a state. Zolata is still providing more than enough insight as to what such a revive can become. Regardless, he will always be like a son to me."

Goldenscale listened with interest, curious and intrigued by how Zolata received energy.  It certainly did help having an alternative food and energy source, but she had never heard of someone using vines as such a source before.  While fungus and vines were useful in ways, she hoped that the Tangled Woods weren't completely ovrerun with them.  But then again the name did suggest that they did.  But either way, she was still interested in the topic.  "I'm sure he does provide such insight to something so interesting and unheard of.  But as different as he is, I'm glad he is still like a son to you." Goldenscale said.

"Like you are to Moonlight, Zolata and all souls I've revived are the closest I have to family. In all honesty, the process used to revive him was not of my finding. Rather it was something found by one I had revived long ago. It wasn't until more recent times that his texts were found and brought to my attention by the one before Zolata. The texts stated that there was once a whole kingdom of creatures that existed as sentient stones and minerals. Be it Kyne's doing or the course of nature itself, they no longer have a presence on this world outside of Zolata's existence," Sunlight said, producing a bundle of weathered scrolls, "If it was Kyne's doing, then it will be by her will there Zolata will be the last of his like. If not, there may yet be a chance. Regardless, I will have to visit Lightweaver once Kyne has returned. If anyone has more information on these crystaline being, it would be her and her grand library of schollars." Standing up, Sunlight closed his eyes as he looked to the ceiling. "Well, I hate to cut this short, but Zolata is calling for my presence. If there is nothing else you need to ask, I would like to escuse myself."

Goldenscale nodded, knowing that Moonlight saw all the souls she'd revived as family as well.  It was certainly predictable when they really had no family of their own.  What did surprise her though was that Sunlight had used another idea to revive a soul.  She had found it amazing that there were several ways a being could be reincarnated, but not once had she thought of repeating something from a historical document.  "Well, we can never know what she'd say.  Either way, I can understand her decision.  But there is a long way yet, so there isn't need to worry.  Information on this wold be quite helpful though since it would give a good perspective on weaknesses and strengths." she said.  When Sunlight stood, she listened and smiled before shaking her head.  "Well, I have nothing that needs to be answered.  I don't know about the others though." she answered, looking to the others around her.

"I can't think of anything we would need to know beyond what we've been told," Kaden said, giving a nod, "I see no reason to keep Zolata waiting."

"Same here. What questions I have would be better answered by Shadowbinder anyways," Midnight said, giving a nod as well.

"In that case, I wish the best of luck to you all," Sunlight said, his form fading out into a bright orb of light, "Next time we meet should be under better standings. Until then, let nature treat you well." Giving a slight bob, the orb exited the house.

"Well, unless you want to help with the preparations, I would sugest getting some rest. If you want to help, I need someone to go and retrieve some more firewood. There isn't quite enough ash left here to finish the glyph stones, and the fire is starting to die as well," Deniigi said, once Sunlight had left, "If someone does that, i would have more time to weave the encantations into each stone that's already marked."

Goldenscale looked from Kaden to Midnight as they responded to Sunlight's question, then to Sunlight as he spoke.  "Thank you, Sunlight.  It was nice meeting you!" she said as she watched the sun spirit leave the room.  At hearing Deniigi speak, she turned to look at him, shifting the somewhat large box in her lap so she could see him better.  At his request, she raised her hand.  "I would like to help." she said before looking down to see the box.  But then she lowered her hand when she remembered about the box.  She had to stay and watch the box.  Alignak had asked her to watch over it, and she wanted to keep that promise.  "Nevermind, Deniigi.  I have to take care of the box and watch it." she said.

"That's fine, at least you had offered," Deniigi said, "The contents of that box carries great value to Ahnah and Alignak. I'm sure they believe yo to be the best one to look after it for the time being."

"I'll help. I still owe everyone for taking me from the Fortress. It's the least I could do at this time," Kaden said, standing up, "Besides, I'd like to see how this rotual is performed. Last time I had the chance, I was in too much of a hurry to heed Icewarden's words to stop and see." Getting a nod from Deniigi, Kadenmade his way out to retieve the needed wood.

"I'll be honest, seeing that recording of Aga was rather shocking. I remember making that sphere for her only a few days after Ahnah had run. At the time, I hadn't suspected that she would be using it in this manner," Deniigi said, starting to channel magic into one of the marked stones, "I thought she was going to use it to draw out and capture her memories of Ahnah."

(Sorry I haven't been posting frequently.  I was moving into a new house all of June and July and now I'm back in school...  Not going to promise when posts are going to be coming anymore because now I have hard classes and it's my senior year of HS, but I'll put a post up when I can.))

Goldenscale gave a nod to Deniigi when he said that it was okay she couldn't help, then looked to Kaden as he stood to gather the wood.  Hearing Deniigi speak once more after Kaden left, Goldenscale gave a sigh.  "Well, everything can be used differently as long as it has one specific purpose.  I can understand why she would use the sphere to draw out her memories of Ahnah, but I don't know how she could foresee this happening.  But it has served its purpose and both Ahnah and Alignak know what she wanted to say.  I only hope that Ahnah doesn't go back to THAT state again..." she said with a sigh before resting her head on the box that dominated her lap.

((It's fine, school os more important. I hope it goes well for you. Just post when you can bring yourself to d so.))

"Aga always had an acute sense to predict the future. Her predictions were never that acurate or specific, but it did prove useful at times. She probably had predicted something that motivated her to get that sphere," Deniigi said, briefly looking to Goldenscale, "I can sense that Ahnah cares deeply about you. She has a personal obligation to keep her wits about her. I don't think you have to worry about her slipping back into sorrow., at least not as badly as her innitial dive."

(Thanks. I just feel so bad though because I promise to post more often and it doesn't happen...) Goldenscale gave a soft hum in understanding after Deniigi shed light on why she would have used the orb in such a way. "Well, that would explain the orb." she said. She then smiled and took out Ahnah's necklace from it's place under her wing feathers. "She's been that way since she first became one of my Enforcers. Besides, we can help each other out if we need it." she said, giving a yawn and emitting a high-potched squeak when she did so. She then flushed when she noticed what she did. "Please excuse me. I did not mean to be so rude." she said, lowering her head.
