"I wasn't aware the a willow spirit came to visit, but I was more referring to Shadowbinder visiting not too long ago. Still, it's a nice change of pace from the usual," Deniigi said, giving a nod  to Midnight who was now carefully exmaining her flower," Once you're done talking with everyone, I'd like to ask you something away from everyone else."

"I appreciate the help regardless. I wouldn't b e here now if not for you're directs, and without the help from Goldenscale, Midnight, and Ahnah. You have made great company to take on this task that is ahead of them," Kaden said, "Be it intentional or not, they have made for quite the team. I can only wonder what the future holds for us as a group."

Setting the box down, Ahnah tucked it under her chest before looking back up. "Do you have a way to speak to mortal spirits who have passed," she asked, looking up to Moonlight, "I can understand if you can't but I'd like to know."

Monlight listened to Deniigi with a shocked expression, then chuckled.  "I hadn't thought that another of the affinities had visited, and I am sorry to have automatically assumed it was one Goldenscale knew.  And of course we can speak in private." she said.  Goldenscale then turned to Deniigi when Moonlight finished talking.  "Willow visited me and Ahnah while we were at your house resting.  I don't think you were there for that." she explained.  Moonlight and Goldenscale both turned their heads in Kaden's direction as he began to speak.  "Well, not even I could have foreseen this outcome.  I merely only prompted Goldenscale here to follow her heart, and this is where it led.  But I'm sure you all will do well no matter where you go." she said with a nod and a smile.  When Ahnah spoke, Moonlight then turned to her, knowing that she might have to continually move her gaze to make sure she answered and heard everybody.  She then turned her head to the side in respectful thought before responding.  "Well, with some time and effort, I'm sure I can bring someone back.  I'm not sure how long they would stay or if they'd want to come back for a time, but I could certainly try.  You just need to tell me who it is and I'll go about searching." she replied to Ahnah.

"That's fine, I was just wanting to know if it was possible. If it's that much trouble, I'd ratehr not bother you about it," Ahnah said, looking back down, "I've already asked so much of you just to be here with Goldenscale, and I'd hate to come off as exploiting you."

"It's probably for the best. If the one you were wanting to contact is who I think it is, they deserve a little more rest than this," Alignak said, hesitating before heading over to comfort Ahnah, "Speaking of rest, you should get some when you can. You'll need it alfter today."

"That's true I suppose," Ahnah replied, looking back up to Moonlight, "I shouldn't be taking up your time anyways. Goldenscale called you here in the hope of getting a few answers, not to be contacting the dead."

Moonlight gave a soft churr as she listened to Ahnah.  She was about to speak, only taking in a breath, when Alignak spoke.  Not wanting to interrupt them, she sat quietly, shaking her wings and sending droplets of water cascading softly down.  After Ahnah finished speaking, she walked over to her and placed a wing on her back.  "Everything I have done for you is out of both of your best interests, and I would be glad to do whatever makes you two happy.  But my hands are tied keeping the Shade away from everything during the night.  The day is really my only restineriod since Sunlight keeps the Shade in check during the day.  But when this is all over and the load is distributed more evenly, I'll see what I can do to bring whoever you want back." she said softly, taking her wing and folding it against her back before going to sit in the open space once more.  "So, Goldenscale, I hear you have questions for me?  I knew that this time would come, and I am proud to have watched over you even though you knew very little about who you were and what you were.  I will answer whatever question you ask of me." she said with a nod.

"Thank you, I'll keep that in mind for the future. For now, that's all I wanted to know," Ahnah said, giving a nod as Moonlight went back to her spot.

"Well, while you all talk, I'll go get something cooked up for us to eat. I should be back in about an hour," Deniigi said, standing up. Excusing himself, he backed away from the fire to head into the back room.

Moonlight gave a nod in Deniigi's direction, then turned to Goldenscale as she lay down on the ground.  "So, what questions do you have?" she asked the child.  Goldenscale looked at her a curious look in her eyes.  "Well, I wanted to know why it is that you don't have a species to represent you and why you never told me that there were others like me.  And why you chose me in the first place." she said to her, a frown on her face.  Moonlight frowned and came close to her in worry.  "You've been questioning yourself quite a bit by the looks of it..." she said.  "Well, I don't have a species to represent me because, like the sun, we have been far to busy to worry about an entire race of beings we created.  Personally, I like being able to watch my children grow, and with having to watch the Shade so frequently, I'm afraid I wouldn't have time.  Even though this hasn't been going on indefinitely, I've also not wanted to tamper with Kyne.  I'm not an affinity in any way, and I feel that it should be her disciples that have that right.  Even though I do not have a species to represent me, I have spirits that I can bring back for a second chance.  They are my children in a sense, such as Kaden is the Icewarden's.  That is where you come in.  You were one I wanted to give a second chance.  I do that for those whose times were cut short or to those that want to make amends for something.  Your previous life was one that qualified, so I gave her the chance.  To be honest, I've been doting on you more than all my other children, just because you've been helping me and you've gone through so many more terrible things.  Because of how much I trust you and because of how much you know about what I do, I have in a way chosen you to be my successor if I befall anything keeping me from my duties." she said, her voice soft and soothing.

"That sounds like the opposite of what the aspects do. Each aspect created a breed to represent them in mortal dealings.Champions are made in much the same prossess as you save souls, differing in that it has to be a mortal on the verge of death. I don't know the specifics of how this is done outside of Icewarden's method though. I would assume that there are artifacts within each champion that show what aspect they represent, like Midnight's black flower or my frigid aura," Kaden said, stepping away from the fire to show a thin layer of perpatual ice onhis fur, "As for not interfearing with Kyne, I can only think of one that has broken a rule set by her. That one being the Lightweaver in her making of a seconod breed. If I remember what the Icewarden said correctly, Lightweaver's punishment was having a curse placed on both breeds that steered them away from their original purpose. Beyond that, I don't know what happened."

"Without knowing what those curses were, I can't say if it was harsh to do that or not. I can see why Kyne would target them instead of Lightweaver though. Where theier primary purpose is to represent Lightweaver, her purpose it to manage the actions of light in this world," Ahnah said, thinking what Moonlight and Kaden said, "I wonder if the reason Midnight has a flower due to Shadowbinder being in Goldenscales' shape when Midnight was made a champion."

(I'm sorrybif this was poorly written.  I literally couldn't think of any other way to word this...)

Moonlight crowned as she tyhought.  "I very well could be wrong about the affinities.  It has been a rather rough few centuries, and I wouldn't be surprised if I forgot or messed some things up.  As I've said before, I really don't hold a place as an affinity with Kyne and her disciples.  Sunlighy and I are placed differently, so we don't really know their reasons nor what they do.  I can only speak for myself in that regard though.  I know merely of my own doings, but I'd have to go back and speak with the affinities again so that I can unjumble the mess of everything in my head." she said to Kaden, not very pleased with herself for mixing things up.  But then again it had been centuries since she had last thought of such things.  Goldenscale seemed to be very confused by then, trying to figure out what was and what wasn't.  "Well, that would be what I would think since the flowers are my special touch." Moonlight said.

((It's fine, I can me sense of it.))

"That'll have to be something we think about later when we have more champions to pool information. As we sit, we only have Midnight and Kaden as champinos of the affinities, and Goldenscale as champion of the moon. There's still ten others to find, and nine runes to gather," Ahnah said, giving a nod, "It would make sense in Midnight's case though. Shadows are only a mirror of ourself we cast out away from light. Shadowbinder was probably making do with what associations she could see in Goldenscale's shape."

"Speaking of Goldenscale," Kaden said, turning to her, "Would you have any more questions for Moonlight? I didn't mean to divert her attention from you."

(Okay.  I tend to word things in a way that I understand, but not necessarily others...)

Moonlight nodded.  "Well, that would be much better.  When everyone would be gathered, then I could try explaining it better.  My information should be more accurate then because I'll have plenty of others who know." she said with a smile.  Goldenscale had become far more cunfused than she wanted, and even tried to shut off her aura sense so she could empty her head.  Out of her confusion shr had placed her forehead on the ground and she let out a long sigh.  "No......  I'm too confused now......" she said with a frown and a sigh.  Moonlight then frowned and sighed.  "I'm sorry dear child.  I hadn't meant for that to happen. Since I'm not getting any other questions from Goldenscale, do any of you want to ask something?  I have to wait for Deniigi anyways." she said.

Lowering her head, Ahnah, thought for a moment."I can only think of one thing right now. With the champions of the affinities, it's going to be fairly easy finding them because of them being where their affinity is best represented. The trouble comes when trying to find one of Sunlight's champions. Like Goldenscale and the rest of the souls you've saved, they're few and far between," she said, raising her head once more, "Would you happen to know where one might be?"

Moonlight sighed and looked at the ground thoughtfully.  Truth be told, she hadn't really been in contact with many of her own souls, much less with Sunlight's.  Of course there was the odd favor Sunlight would ask of her, and vice versa, but the most contact she had had was with her newest saved soul Goldenscale.  "I would have to say no I don't.  I haven't saved any new souls other than Goldenscale.  It's about time I save another, but I'm busy watching iver you guys and trying to help you out." she said with a regretful sigh.  "I'm sorry dear.  I'll try to talk to Sunlight though and find the whereabouts of one for you though.  He would be much easier to get conference with."

"Thank you anyways. It's better that I ask now anyways. Until we meet one of Sunlight's saved souls, we'll have minimal contact with him. You'd be our only way of contacting him until then," Ahnah said, giving a nod, "Besides, we still have several other Champions to find. There's no hurry to find his champion yet."

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would think that you and Sunlight would save spirits at the same time so as to not over throw the work of the other. I wont say that I'm correct on that though," Kaden said, take his place by the fire again, "It's been too long for me to say what's correct or not so i wouldn't take my word as truth without confirmation."

Moonlight nodded to Ahnah before looking to Kaden as he spoke.  "Well, we do make sure we check in with each other after every saved soul.  Their numbers have dwindled because we haven't been saving as many souls, but we don't necessarily save souls at the same time.  We try to keep that the same number yes, but it would just be much more work having to plan a time for that.  It's easier doing that at our own convenience and just telling the other than planning a day tyio do so together." she explained to Kaden.

"That would make more sense than what I was thinking. I guess it would be dificult to keep track of that among everything else you do," Kaden said, tucking his paws under his chest, "I suppose I should look into restudying the spirits of nature sometime. There's probably been several changes to the habits of the affinities, and it wouldn't hurt to refresh my memory on whathasn't changed."

"That'll probably have to wait till we're done with this jouney. As the affinities sit now, their actions are severely hindered. Most observations now would likely be useless or wrong after the Shade is dispelled," Ahnah said, pulling the box back out from under her, "It would be like my memories of Alignak being compared to now. The oberservations, while true at time of taking, would be wrong when compared to new evelopements."

Listening to what everyone was saying, Alignak lowered his head to watch the fire. After a few moments he lifted his head once more before taking out a small silver coin. Standing up, he made his way over to Moonlight. "Can I ask a favor of you great spirit Moonlight," he asked, glancing briefly over to Ahnah before looking back.
