Letting out a yawn, Ahnah slowly came around. Starting to stretch, she looked up. "Good morning Goldenscale. To you too Alignak," she said, sitting up to observe what was there, "I guess we're going to be heading out soon."

"Yes, once Corazon is ready and we eat, we'll be heading out. Leaving this early, we should be able to make it back here by nightfall. That, and the best view is during the midday hours," Alignak said, returning to take his portion of the food.

"In that case, we'll be back in time for me to take the last to becomeing a Shaman, assuming I'm ready at that time," Ahnah said, gathering up her portion of food,"I'm also counting what time it will take to stop by the Fortress."

Goldenscale purred and ruffled her feathers. Seeing the food, she walked over and took a meanger few pieces from it. Everyone else there needed t more than her. Climbing or flying up a mountain took a lot of work, and they would need all the energy and strength they could muster. Listening to the conversation between Alignak and Ahnah, she sat down and began to slowly eat her food. Since they were planning on being gone all day and Deniigi probably was busy, she would probably be the one standing in for Corazon again. She would be fine with that as long asshe wouldn't have to use the blasted rock again. "So, will I have to stand in for Corazon today?" she asked out of curiosity.

"I can take over for Corazon today, unless you want to go again. You still need to recover from your illness so rest would do you good," Deniigi said, adding fuel to the fire, "You're welcome to stick around if you don't want to take over though. You are a champion of the moon, least we can do is make sure you're safe during your stay. Oh, on that note, Midnight is doing well  too. She's taking the day to rest and recover."

"Given how ill you two were when you came here yesterday, your bodies are taking to the medicine rather well," Corazon said, sitting down to cook her food, "You two may fully recover sooner than expected, but I would suggest giving yourselves a day or two to make sure."

Goldenscale turned to Deniigi as he spoke, then nodded. "That sounds like a good idea, resting just to make sure I'm better for sure. I just thought that you would be really busy, so I asked." she said in reply. She then looked to Corazon and smiled. "I'm rather surprised by how well I'm doing as well, since I normally get very sick when I do get sick. I wouldn't like to get sick again..." she said. She then took another bite of her food. "Well, I hope your guys' trip is still safe. It would be unfortunate if any of you got hurt on your trip." she added, looking to Alignak, Corazon and Ahnah.

"So long as the weather remains nice, we'll be fine. The path there is well protected from danger, but weather is always a worry. We should be fine today though," Alignak said, deviding the last of the unclaimed foor between Ahnah and Corazon, "I just hope nothing has taken up residence along the path."

"Even if something did, we'd be capable enough between the three of us to take it on should it be violent," Ahnah said before starting in on her food, "I know you can hold your own, you always did before."

(Sorry for not posting.  I've been busy with school for the past couple weeks and will be busy probably until the 17th.  Finals and AP tests are happening now that I'm in the last 9 school days until summer vacation.)

Goldenscale listened in on the conversation, but since she wasn't going on the trip, she didn't say anything.  It wasn't like she had anything to say anyways.  She was in unfamiliar territory and didn't know much about it.  She just stared off at the floor as she let her mind wander, nibbling on her food.  She wasn't very hungry that morning, probably as a side effect of her previous sickness, but she didn't mind.  She would eat later.

((It's fine. Schools more important right now.))

"Well, while you all are gone on you trip, I'll have everything covered here. The village is fairly autonomous on its own," Deniigi said, starting to take inventory of the supplies, "Goldenscale will be fine as well. She and Midnight should be getting over the illness sometime in the next day or so."

(Yay weekend!  Once the weekend is over, I'll have 3 full days of school and a half-day until school's out for the summer, then I can post more for sure.)

Goldenscale smiled and nodded.  "As long as we stay inside and out of the cold, I'm sure we'll both heal up just fine.  If either one of us ends up getting sick again, tuen I guess the other will have to get herbs to help them." she said with shrug.

((Nice, I hope everything goes well in those 3 1/2 days.))

"Well, we should be going now. Best to not wait too long and let the weather pick up," Ahnah said once she finished her food, "I'll meet you two at the edge of the village. I've got something I want to take with me on the trip, I just need to pick it up from Deniigi's old place."

"Alright, we'll wait for you at the gate," Alignak said, giving a nod to Ahnah as she left. Turning to Goldenscale, he dipped his head. "I have to thank you for bringing Ahnah back here, even if it wasn't intended. Aga should be able to rest easy knowing that Ahnah is alive and well," he said.

(I hope so too.  It would suck to fail on something now when school is almost out.)

Goldenscale watched as Ahnah left the building, then turned to Alignak as he spoke.  She then smiled and nodded.  "We had to come someyime, so I'm glad we decided to come first.  Ahnah didn't want to come first, but she thought it would be better to get it done and overwith.  But we might have been too late if we had come later.  I'm just sorry to hear that Aga was not well.  I never got to meet her before she went, but I guess that I'll just have Ahnah tell me about her." she said to him.

"She was a loving soul, to put it simply. What she came down with was something the spirits themselves couldn't cure. It would have taken the power of a Greater Spirit to pull the kind of magic needed, but the only Greater Spirit that lived near here was the Icewarden, and he had went missing several years ago, shortly after Ahnah ran away," Alignak said, finishing his meal, "The normal spirits had no clue where he went. Some theorized that he went dormant to replenish his energy as he would normally do every few centuries, and others thought he just disappeared. Regardless, he wasn't here, and Aga could only wait for her illness to take here. She would always turn down offers to end her pain under the pretenses that she was waiting for Ahnah to return."

"Oh..." she said quietly, one ear down, but the other perked up slightly.  She was puzzled as to why the Icewarden went missing.  What she had always thought was that the Greater spirits would stay put and would oversee the work of the other spirits.  But maybe she was wrong and there were different duties the spirits had to accomplish besides the overseeing of others.  "Shouldn't the Icewarden have stayed though to watch his underlings.  I would think that he would want to make sure they were doing everything corrctly." she said, trying to figure that out.

"That's what we had always come to believe. The Icewarden, though cruel at times, would alway make sure things were done correctly. Personally, I believe his disappearance has something to do with Kyne's prophecy," he said, "It is said that three souls will bring together the champions of each element to free the Great Spirit Kyne from her prison within the tower of elements. It also says that the Great Spirits of those elements would begin to fade, leaving only those of Sun and Moon to fend off entity known as the Shade. The three spirits said to bring the champions together are said to be gold, silver, and black, representing nature, spirit, and body respectively."

Standing up, Alignak only smiled before continuing, "After everything you, Ahnah, and Midnight have done these past few days, I'm willing to believe you three contain those spirits. As such, I wish you the best on your journey."

Goldenscale listened as Alignak spoke, connecting it to the prophecy she had been told before.  So it was their fault that this was happening, or more her fault.  She was the one that had been weak enough to even think about changing nature's will, making one live longer when their lives were long enough.  But they would have to work harder to make sure the world wouldn't crumble before Kyne could he released.  There was nothing that could change the past now, so it was best if she just came to terms with it.  In the end, she smiled and gave a single nod.  "Thank you.  We will do all we can to bring Kyne back and rid the world of the Shade, as hard as it could be.

"I can only hope you three succeed in the task put before you. The world needs Kyne more than anything now," Alignak said, looking over  to Corazon who was just finishing her meal, "Well, we should be going now. We'll probably talk more when we get back." Giving a nod, he made his way out with Corazon fallowing him shortly after.

"Prophecyor not, you are doing this for someone. Be it yourself or someone you care for, I can not tell. All I can say is that you have your own reasons to do tihs," Deniigi said, watching Corazon and Alignak leave, "I just ask that you don't give up."
