Goldenscale purred.  "It is quite interesting.  I coan see someone doing this for a living as well, since there could be millions of possibilities for patterns and objects." she said with a smile.  She had figured out what she wanted to do and she was working on an intricate necklace design with a variety of blues and greens, and she was slowly invoicing hrself with it.

As Ahnah worked, figures could start to be recognized on her piece. Starting at the bottom, two figures, one yellow and one brown, were facing each other while in a crowd of grey figures with a green one off to the side. "I've decided to do a cronicle mat," she said, counting out several more beads, "I'll be working on it this whole jouney, but when it is finished, it will tell our story."

Goldenscale looked over at the mat in amazement.  "Wow, that's amazing Ahnah!  You did that?" she asked, a bewilered and amazed look on her face.  She had never seen such a thing before, and it was a wonderful sight to look at.  It was crafted wonderfully, and she knew she could never do that ever.  Ahnah was very skilled to be able to do such a thing.

"Yes, I've been working on it cince we left the cave, adding a few beads every so often. I've finished the time where we met, and I've started on what heppened at the town. I'll be adding Midnight to the fold there as well," she said, pulling the string tight before tieing it to keep the beads in place, "It's takes a lot of patience, but anyone could do this. Getting the beads in the right place is the hard part though."

Looking at Ahnah's mat, Midnight  stared at the countless rows of beads, examining the details each section held. Each section held a major event from the cave, starting with the meeting at the ceremony, and ending with their departure.

Goldenscale looked at the mat, slowly studying each part of it.  She then set down her own project as she thought of something.  "I could help you if you want.  You could tell me what to do." she sugggested.  Though she wasn't sure it was a good iea, she though she would suggest it.

"No, this is something I want to do on my own. When it is finished, I'll be giving it to Mayumi so she can know what all you went through. If you really want to help though, you can help me keep an eye out for craft shops whenever we makeour way through towns and settlments. The beads I have here will only last a couple more sections before I need to get more," she said, tieing off her current section as there was a knock on the door.

"It's safe to come back out now, none of them noticed you were here," Aipaloovik called through the door, "The snow's clear, but noon is still a few hours away."

"Okay." Goldenscale said with a smile.  "I'll keep my eye out for any bead sets." she said with a single nod.  She then turned towards the door.  After Aipaloovik spoke saying they could come out now since the snow was cleared, she thought that they didn't want Ahnah to be seen or felt just yet.  "Okay." she called.

"If you want me to, I can make a second one of these once we get home. At east then I will have a template to work off of," Ahnah said, folding the mat up and slipping it into her bag, "I'll be staying here in this room until Alignak is gone.Best not to let any of the elders see me."

"Um, what wrong about beeing seen here," Midnight asked, tilting her head, "Is there some sort of rule against being seen?

Goldenscale smiled.  "You don't have to make me one.  I know our journey and I will never forget it." she said.  She then turned to Midnight.  "No there isn't, but Ahnah was banished long ago because she and her father, the leader, disaggreed about something trivial.  If Ahnah is seen inside of the village, he will give orders to have her attacked.  You and I can be seen, but it is best if Ahnah is not seen until we leave." she said with a slighyt frown.

"Oh, I'm sorry for asking," Midnight said, putting her head down.

"It's fine, you deserve to know. You're part of the group after all," Ahnah said, shaking her head, "All I ask is that you don't try to get the past out of me. I want that to stay between Goldenscale and myself."

Goldenscale gave a snort before she began to work on the necklace again.  "If Ahnah wishes it I will not speak a word." she said as she worked.  She finished working on it and she laid it out on the ground.  The necklace itself was made of two rows of beads that would go from light blue to blue to green to light green and over again.  She made a clip at the end of the strings so that the necklace could be worn, and in the middle a flower made of purple and blue beads hung.  She then smiled at Ahnah as she took the necklace in her hands and held it out to her.

"For me? Thank you," she said, dipping her head before taking the necklace and putting it one, "It's real nice. If I had known you were going to make this for me, i would have made something for you."

Seeing the necklace, Midnight looked down to her single string of mismatched beads. Giving a sigh, she tied a small knot to keep the beads on before laying down and staring into the fire.

Goldenscale smiled.  "Seeing you happy is all I need, Ahnah." she said.  She then looked over at Midnight and walked over to her, nudging her with her nose.  "If you want, I could help you make something." she offered.  Midnight seemed unhappy with her progress, so she thought she would help her out.

"No, it's fine. I just feel out of place. I know I asked to join your jouney, but seeing you and Ahnahso happy together makes me feel as though I should have went to the cave," she said, looking up to Goldenscale, "I owe you my life, and I would give it to protect you, but if I'm not wanted, you only have to say so."

"You're not unwanted, you're just quiet. I'm sure if you said something, we could have dome something. There's still a few hours till noon, so there's still room for us to do something," Ahnah said, stepping around the fire to be at midnight's side as well, "You're as much a part of this jouney as we are."

Goldenscale nuzzled her.  "I know how it feels to be out of place, I feel the same thing sometimes as well.  But in time, your mind will begin to see how much you do belong, and the feeling becomes more scarce." she said with a warm smile.  "And we can still do something before we have to go talk to Alignak, like Ahnah says.  All you have to tell us is what you want to do."
