"I am going to the fortress, but I can't let father know I'm here until we've retrieved the rune andabout to head to the next location," Ahnah said, "If you focus your senses to the east, you'll feel the essence of the barrier. Once it dissappeares, I'll head that way and meet you there. Alignak wont follow you to the barrier given his duties here. He will be able to release the spell regardless."

Goldenscale nodded in understanding.  "Oh, that makes sense.  Well, at least he hopefully won't know it's you.  We wouldn't want an attack before going into the mission." she said.  It did make sense.  If Alignak didn't know she was there until she was leaving, it would save Ahnah from being hurt and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

"You see my point then. So long as I hold onto this piece of oak, he wont be able to detect my aura," she said, pulling the piece of wood out and lightly squeezing it to release some of its magic, "When you go to talk with him, can I ask that you try to lead him away form his home so I can talk with mother? She knows better than to give me away after what hapened when I left."

Goldenscale nodded.  "Of course.  Maybe I can ask him o show me where the Fortress is as soon as I can get him to cooperate with us to open the gate." she suggested.  She tried to think of something to help make sure Ahnah could see her mother since family is important.

"That might work, but you'll need to convince him that it is needed. If you don't give him a good reason to lead you there, he will only give you directions. Once he's going, you'll also need to keep his attention or he'll stop," Ahnah said, "From what Aipaloovik has told me, he's become much more blunt than when I was here."

Goldenscale nodded.  "I will do all I can to keep his attention so you can see your mother, Ahnah." she said with a smile.  She will make sure that he keeps his attention, even if she has to resort to conversing about a topic she dislikes.  But hopefully she can keep him occupied just long enough to give Ahnah time to see her mother.

"Thank you. This place may be filled with painful memories for me, but there will at least be one good one, even if it is about my final words to mother. She deserves to go in peace," she said with a smile, "I just hope she can hold out long enough for me to say my goodbyes."

Goldenscale gave a single nod, not knowing what to say.  Anyways, she decided it would be better for her to remain silent than say something and it come out wrong.  Well, now she just needed to figure out how she was gong to amuse herself until she has to meet with Alignak.

"I assume we're going to be waiting in here till noon or so, so I brought in some beads. We can try to string together something worth mentioning," she said with a laugh, pulling out a large box filled with beads of all sizes and shapes, "It's better than just sitting aorund doing nothing. There should be enough ere to cover everyone's needs.""

Goldenscale smiled.  "I wonder what we would make with those." she said with a sigh.  She might as well make something for Ahnah, Tieral and herself.  Though she had no idea what, but she would make something.  She still had the metal horn tips that Tieral had bought for her, and she wanted to make something for him, and for Ahnah.

"Don't worry about it if you don't manage to finish your idea by noon. I can store the piece till we get more free time," she said, setting the box of beads on the floor between her and Goldenscale, "I'm sure you two will come up with something to make."

Goldenscale smiled.  "I'm sure we can think of something to make." she said.  She then took out some string and began To experiment with what she could make, sometimes keeping a pattern, but also getting rid of something she didn't like.

Picking up some of the string, Midnight started examining each bead before putting them on the string. "What are these things? Their so pretty," she said, "There's so many things we could do with these."

Goldenscale smiled.  "They're called string and beads.  You make things like necklaces and bracelets, which is jewelery you wear.  The string is made out of fabric that was woven together and the beads can be made from different things like clay or stone, but I think these might be made of plastic." she explained.

"Most of them are made of plastic, but some of the larger ones are glass," Ahnah said, counting out several beads before adding them to her prodject, "There are a few in there that are gems, but those aren't common."

"I knew about string, but this is the first time I've ever seen beads," Midnight said, starting to carefully string several beads together, "They're nice to look at. I could see someone doing this for a living."
