(I hope so too.)

Goldenscale nodded.  "I agree with Talia.  Everyone is different, so we can't just be differentiating between what they think is a problem and what is not.  I have heterochromia, feathers instead of bat-like wings,  and a feather-like tail.  The moon could have chosen a normal form for me, but she chose this and I would never change it for another.  Being happy in life is something we find and protect, and the people shouldn't be punished for living their lives the way they want.  Life is short, and we live only once.  By living that way, you are wasting so much potential." she said with a frown.  "For every strength, there is a weakness.  No one should be focusing on only their strengths."

"There are also those who's only difference is they aren't attracted to what you would call normal. They're just as capable as anyone else. Just because they're different doesn't meant they're bad," Ahnah said, "Those that should be punished are the ones who force punishment onto those who don't deserve it."

"Feel free to beleive what you wish. I wont force our beleifs on you, but I will ask that you don't voice this  subject once we get in the village. They tend to be very adament about their beliefes," Aipaloovik said, taking a dep breaath to keep calm.

Goldenscale nodded.  "Everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and I won't voice mine uless I am asked.  We lead separate lives, and everyone should be ablw to live the way they want to." she said.  She then took another bite of the rabbit.

"I'm glad we can agree on this. I doubt anyone will ask you though," he said, looking to the horizon as sunlight began to dwindle, "It will be night soon. Even though we're not far enough north for snow here, the nights are very cold here. If you have something to keep you warm, i suggest you prepare it now before it starts geting cold."

"That would be the wise idea. I may be able to handle the cold, you still need to be kept warm Goldenscale," Ahnah said, taking her blanket and placing it over Goldenscale's back, "I don't want you freezing out here."

Goldenscale lsughed nervously.  "Yeah..." she said quietly.  She then dug around in her bag for the blanket she had made earlier with the moss and driend leaves amd wrapped that around her body.  "I'll probably end up being more of a burden here in this land than in other places..."

"We all have our weaknesses. It doesn't make you a burden to have such a weakness. It just means we'll have to be more careful  while we're here," Ahnah said as she started setting up a new fire, "This land is unforgiving in the first place. Your weakness to cold  is the least of the dangers here if we're unprepared."

"I just realized, I never explained what a yeti is. Imagine a bear like being that stands upright. Yetis are several times larger than a bear though. They give the largest of dragons a run for their money in size and strength. Most yetis are covered in a course white fur that hides them in the snowdrifts farther north," Aipaloovik said, adding some tinder to the building fire, "They're smart too. Not smart enough to be sentient, but smart enough to use tools and weapons. Lucky for us, they don't come this far south."

Goldenscale sighed and put her head down, but brought it back up to listen to Aipaloovik.  "They sound scary.  But it's food that they don't come this far, so we don't have to worry about them." she said with a nod.  She had put away her meat to save for a later time, so now she just had to worry about sleeping and making sure nothing harmed them in the night.

"Trust me, they are scary, especially  when they're angry. They're also very fast despite their size," Aipaloovik said, laying his head down to rest, "Enough about yetis though. We need to get some sleep." Closing his eyes, he fell asleep soon after.

""I'll wake you up later. For now, I'm going to stay awake and watch for hostile beings," Ahnah said telepathically, "We'll switch look outs when I wake you later."

Goldenscale shuddered slightly after the explanation.  They did sound like terrible beings, and she ertainly didn't want to meet one.  When Ahnah told her the plan for look outs, she nodded.  "Kay.  Don't even think sbout letting me sleep longer." she said, curling up under the blankets and falling asleep.

"I wouldn't try such a thing," Ahnah said to herself with a chuckle before setting up to keep watch. After a few hours, she walked over to Goldenscale and gave her a gentile nudge. "It's your turn. Nothing seems to be out tehre, but that doesn't mean something can't show."

Goldenscale opened her eyes groggily, soon realizing it was her turn to keep watch.  "Alright, I'll keep my eyes and ears open for anything suspicious." she said with a nod.  Within moments, she was hiding in the tree in a spot where she coulds ee everywhere around them without being noticed.

Refueling the fire, Ahnah curled around the base of the tree before creating a dome of ice around herself..

When moring came, Ailapoolvik woke with a start, before realizing where he was.
"So, you got stuck with midnight sift didn't you," he asked, sitting beneath the branch Goldenscale had taken to, "Well, i guess there's nothing wrong with that, it's a needed job for traveler."

Goldenscale gave a tired yawn.  "Yeah, but I don't mind.  Sometimes there are things that need to be done, and a night watch is one of them.  I wouldn't have minded if I had taken an all nighter, but we have a big day ahead of us." she said.  She laid her head on a branch and gave another yawn.  She was hungry for sure now, having slightly painful grumbles from her stomach. She then jumped off of the tree to retrieve her meat before climbing back up.  She then began to slowly eat.

"So, would you mind if I ask you something," he asked, looking up to Goldenscale, "I know Talia has a mate, but what about yourself? GIven your age, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't, but I'm just curious."

Goldenscale gave a quiet chuckle before replying.  "You will have to gain my trust more for me to release such information.  But I will tell you I do, nothing more." she said with a smile before giving another yawn and continuing to eat.
