"I would dare to say she is a miracle sent to us by the Flamekeeper, but I'll leave my beliefs out of this," Mayumi said watching Goldenscale for a few moments before turning to Frost, "I've been thinking, I'm ready for a family once again. I was wondering, would you join me?"

(also happy fathers day to everyone that is a father or has one to celebrate it with.)

Frost turns colors for the first time. He doesn't know what to say or how to answer it.

(Happy Father's Day!  I'm going to give my dad a card and draw him a picture of a deer.  He's still sleeping, so I have time to get it done.)

Goldenscale continued to sleep.

"You don't have to answer right away. I can understand if you have to think about it, it's a big decision to make," she said giving Frost a smile when she saw him blush, "Just thought I'd offer since you've been such a good friend."

He lays his head down not knowing what to say or how to react to it.

"Good night Frost, I'll see you in the morning," she said before laying her head down and falling asleep.

Frost drifts off to sleep as well.

The next morning came with the sound of thunder and a flash of lightning through the cave entrance. Mayumi was already awake and stoking a fire to retain the cave's warmth.

Goldenscale yelped when she heard the thunder.  She then saw lightning and went to hide in a corner.  Though it wasn't often she was afraid, sh was deathly scared of the booming thunder and sudden lightning.

"It's alright Goldenscale, the stone and earth will protect us  from the weather," Mayumi said looking up to see Goldenscale hiding in a corner. "Come, have some breakfast. It's not much, but it's enough to get the day started," she said three squirls off the fire, "The weather moved in some time around midnight last night."

"I must have been pretty tired not to hear the storm before now." she said quietly as she went over to Mayumi.

"Well, the worst of it is just now getting here. From what I can gather, the storm should last most of the day, but there should be a clearing large enough for us to get back to the cave," Mayumi said handing one of the squiirls to GOldenscale, "The council is probably worried where we are in this weather. Tieral might have told them already to keep them calm though."

"Hopefully..." she said quietly.  She was miserable, she loved rain, but when it came to thunder and lightning she wasn't able to do very well.

"The thunder and lightning should be gone by lunch, we can head back then," she said walking to the cave entrance to waatch the rain, "It's times like this that I wish rain dodn't hold such meaning to me."

"To me, rain is life.  It helps life to grow, and without it, everything would die.  What does it mean to you?" she asked.
