When Goldenscale touched Chiei, she only fade more until she was gone. Leaving nothing but the faint aura she had, but that faded moments later.

"My little girl is realy gone," mayumi said colapsing down onto her knees, her tearsstarting to roll dow her face "I'll never hear her again."

Frost sits beside Mayumi and helps her up only when she was ready. "We can leave whenever you wish." His wing around her to help her know he was there with her..

(well guys i don't know if you figured this out but, i work every other week on a night shift. and i start back today. i'll be on as much as i can when i'm working. alright."

Goldenscale friend and walked out of the cave to the willow.  She then climbed up to the top and collapsed on a branch.  "What did I do wrong this time..." she said quietly.  * You didn't do anything wrong, you were only helping* the willow replied.  'But when I tried to help Mayumi be able to hold her daughter again, she disappeared.  I can't help individuals or everything goes down the drain...' she told her.  To anyone that was listening, they would hear only deep humming noises from Goldenscsle and the rustling of the leaves from the willow.  *You tried your best, dear.  Don't go beating yourself up because you couldn't do one thing.  Maybe she just wasn't meant to be given a body now.* she replied.  Goldenscale sighed and curled up before she went back to sulking.

Standing up, Mayumi fallowed Goldenscale to the willow. "Thank you Goldenscale. Chiei can finally reast in peace," she said looking up to Goldenscale in an almost blank tone, "Archen trapped her soul, and now she's free."

"If I hadn't touched her, maybe she would still be here..." she said quietly.  

"Archen blocked her from completing her unfinished business here. She would wait for me at her grave, but as soon as she would see me, Archen would use his magic to take her away once more," Mayumi said laying down at the base of the willow, "All she wanted was to see me return to her so that her last moments would be complete."

"And now that's done...  What will happen now?" she asked.  Her mind was no longer set on anything, ans she wasn't sure if she had any goal left she needed to complete.

"She can finally have the peace one should get once they die. I may never get to see her again till my time comes, but she's in a better place now," Mayumi said looking blankly into the distance, "For every light there is a matching shadow. For every day there is night. She has lived in the night. Now she can live in the day, in the light."

"I'm sorry I couldn't give you more time to spend with her in her last moments...I know how much she means to you..." she said quietly.  She closed her eyes and sighed.

"It was not your fault. You just helped her complete her unfinished business  by bringing her to me," Mayumi said looking up to Goldenscale again, "The longer she stayed here, the more suffering she would endure. I would have loved to have had some time with her, but I would rather have her suffering end."

The trees around them rustled with understanding.  "They say that even though suffering, there can be happiness.  She was happy to see you again, even after all those years of being able to do so.  Who knows, maybe one day she will return here to visit and we all shall once again notify the world of a return.  She will be sad yet glad to be in the Great Rest, sad because she woun't see you again, yet glad to be able to rest in peace.  Think of her memories and she will continue to live on..." Goldenscale recited to Mayumi.  She sighed again.  "Life is the great treasure of the earth, so there will always be rejoicing with every life that comes..." she said before slowing dozing off.

"I'm going to go pick up my pass now. I still have a promise to keep," Mayumi said standing up and wiping some of the tears from her face, "I'll be back by morning. I have no reason to stay there for an entire week now."

"And I'll be here..." she said.  She then dropped from the tree.  "Have a good trip." she said with a slight smile, giving Mayumi a hug.

"Maybe it's time I move on. Try the family seen once more," Mayumi said returning the hug, "Chiei would want me to try again, that was her final wish before leaving us."

Goldenscale furrowed her brow in confusion.  "What do you mean 'try the family scene again?" she asked.
