"Now who's the one underestimating? You are no dracolitch or imortal. By what means do you claim imortality," the voice asked laughing, "You have no stand, why should I do as you say when I know you can rend my flesh faster than i can yours?"

"Dracolichs are disturbing and discusting.  Immortality is worth nothing.  Others have chosen death for me, but my body prevents me from leaving the world.  And anyways, how do you know that I can rend your flesh faster than you?  You have never seen me fight, nor have I seen you.  We are all at equal odds." she said.  "But I'm also at a disadvantage because I have a broken leg.  So you have the advantage over me."

"I've seen what you did to my pets. You are a very efficient fighter despite your leg," the voice said gather it's aura into three directions, north, east, and south, "We can forget this all if you just let me have that vile beast you call Mayumi. She comes to my village every month and every year. She will finally be taken down, one way or another."

"Do you know why she comes?  You should at least know why she's here.  If not, you are nothing more than a parasitic worm.  And you will never have her.  If you want her, you'll have to kill me first." she said with a slight snarl.

"It matters not why she comes. She has no right to come onto my land. Be it family or to keep herself alive," the voice said giving a forceful blast to Goldenscale's mind, "She will die, and you will to should you get in the way."

Goldenscale absorbed the shock and added it her own power.  "I will protect the ones I care for, be they gryphon, cockatrice, or dragon.  You will not lay a singly finger upon her while my soul still thrives on this world." she said.  She sent a volt of energy twice as large back to the person to show how serious she was.

"I gave her fair warning twenty years ago. She will not escape this time," the voice haveing its aura focused in one direction pointing to its origin, "You can not be in two places at once. She will perish in her own home."

"Who said I couldn't?" she said.  She made am deep humming noise from deep inside her chest and the trees replied back with a rustling of their leaves.  It could be heard from miles out.  They would hold her ground here with half of herself.  She gave her insanity a body and both ran in opposite directions, her insane self running towards the person and kind Goldenscale running towards Mayumi.  She had practiced this many a day and both sides of her were controlled by one mind.  Both fought with the same strength and mind, but just not the same body.  She could be in two places at once.

"You think that splitting your sanity will acually get you there in time? You can not move fast enough to get there before my pets," the voice said as two shapes pass the kind Goldenscale, "They will tear her apart, and leave nothing for you to defend."

Goldenscale roared then ran faster than was possible for a normal dragon.  She had spent years training her body to be faster than a cheetah and now it played off.  She then got to the cave and brought up thick walls of rock that the creatures would run into.  She panted slightly as she ran around "MAYUMI!!!" she roared at the top of her lungs.

"What is it Goldenscale," Mayumi asked rushing to her side, "is something wrong?"

She stood there for a couple seconds, her breath fast with fear.  "Find as many enforcers as you can and bring them back here.  Then I want you to hide." she said between gasping breaths.  Her eyes held fear that she had never felt before.  She then began to pace by thcave entrance, ready to fight if the creatures broke through.

"Use that crystal they gave you. it will send a signal to all the trained enforcers, assigned or not. I've seen the council use theirs in such a way before," Mayumi said keeping pace with Goldenscale as something hit the wall making a few stone shift, "What's going on?"

Goldenscale sent a message to every enforcer inside the cave and went to the front of the cave.  "Those creatures that attacked you earlier, they're back with more this time and...and...and..." she said quickly, her breath escalating again.  She then went to the very middle of the stones and took off the brace on her leg.  She then got into her fighting stancenajd waited.  "Please hide, Mayumi." she said.

"Pleae be careful Goldenscale," Mayumi said before heading into her home.

"You have call an emergency Goldenscale Golddragon. What is this emergency," the largest of the enforcers asked once they were all positioned at the entrance, "Why is the entrance blocked off?"
