"I'll try the wheel then..." she said quietly.

"This way then Ms. Goldenscale," the clerk said, motioning towards a door, "I'll teach you how to use the wheel."

"Alright..." she said as she followed.

"Alright, just take a seat and I'll be right with you. I do suggest taking off anf necklaces or rings so that they don't get caught in the clay," she said, gesturing to the several empty stoolsgathered around a wheel, "Don't want to loose an precious memories."

Goldenscale nodded and took off all her jewelery, placing them in her wings.  She held her wings tightly against her body to feel the precious memoirs.

A moment later, the clerk returned with a bowl of water and sat it beside Goldenscale. "OK, first you want to dip your claws in the water so that the clay doesn't stick so bad," she said, dipping her claws in the water and giving them a light shake, "Then you take a lump of clay and form it into a ball."

"Now, you place the hunk of clay in the center of the wheel and press on the pedle to turn it on. You must be sure not to press on it too hard or it will spin too fast and fling the clay apart," she said, placing her chunk of clay in the ccenter of the wheel setting just in front of her, "Once you have the clay spinning, gently press on it and rub until you find the spot of least resistance, that is the center. you want to press down there if you want to make a pot. If not,  you'll want to keep this spot in mind as you work on you sculprture as it will be the center of the piece."

"OK, seeing as you are going with a pot, press down on the center till you have about five centimeters of clay between you and the wheel. Then, take you other hand and firmly hold it against the outside as you press in on the inside rim with you first hand. This will force the clay up into the beginings of the pot's walls," she said, fallowing her instructions as she went over them, "If you feel the clay sticking to your claws, dip them in water again and continue from where you were."

"THe rest is up to you for how you want it. You can make it short, tall, wide, or skinny. To make it wider,just lightly against the walls until you havve it like you want. Just be careful not to tear the bottom. To prevent that, just carefully press down on the walls," she said, demostrating still, "To make it taller, use the back side of you claws and start from the bottom of the walls. From there, just carefuly press into the walls and pull up. It may take several tries to get it to the high you want if you're aiming for a very tall vase or planter."

"Once you have it as you like, just call me over and we can get started on decorating it how you like," she said, letting off her wheel's pedle and stopping it before walking over to help someone else.
