"Come on in, just try to keep the noise down. The hatchlings are still asleep," Mayumi said, opening the door and stepping aside to let them in, "Good news though, we were able to catch Ece's cold early enough to prevent it from taking hold. She should be fine once she wakes up. She and Alekai exhausted each other from playing."

"Well, they've been resting for some time. They fell asleep a few minutes after you left," she said, smiling, "They might be up to playing some more now."

"They're doing just fine. They were a little confused when they woke to find you missing, but they got over that quickly when I started washing them properly," she said, watching as Ahnah laied down beside the nest to watch the hatchlings, "I can already tell, they're going to be very strong and healthy. Once they finally open their eyes, they'll probably want to explore everything."

"I'm going to go let them know I'm back without waking them up." she said as she went over to the nest. 

"They're just the cutes little things aren't they," Ahnah asked, looking up to Goldenscale as Falinx let out a yawn before curling back up, "I'm glad they have a caring mother to look after them."

"They are amazing..." sh said quietly as she nuzzled the three hatchlings gently.

Feeling Goldenscale, each hatchling let out a soft squeak. Being the most awake, Falinx uncurled and grabbed hold of Goldenscale as best she could.

"Mayumi chuckled. "It seems Falinx wants to play a little," she said, "You can if you want to, just be very careful. They haven't quite built up their natural defences yet."

Goldenscale picked up the hatchling gently and began to tickle her.

Lettig out another squeak, Falinx began to squirm under Goldenscale's administrations, all the while letting out a cheerfull chirp like laugh.

"I believe she likes it," Mayumisaid with a laugh, "While you play with her, i'm going to go finish the expansion. They'll need their own rooms soon enough."

Nodding, Mayumi stepped out the door into the expansion.

"Mayumi may have a broken heart, but her mind remains forever strong," Tieral said, walking in from the back room, "She may be avoiding her pain, but she is doing so to care for those who need her."

"Pain should not be avoided.  She should judt let her emotions flow.  I think it is a lot better than keeping it all inside, now that I have experienced exactly that." she said as she nuzzled Falinx.

"She does not hold the emotions in like you did. She is taking a potion to supress the depression that would otherwise consume her. I asked her about this while you were gone," he said, "At least she knows sheneeds to let it out. She wants to 'suppor what Frost has left behind, not hinder it' as she said in her own words."

As Gldenscale nuzzled Flainx, the hatchling licked her nose before yawning again.
