"If you have a moment, come over here. You remember what their heartbeat sounded like a few days ago don't you," she asked, moving the eggs towards the front edge of the nest, "I want you to hear the difference, it may be of use to you some day if you have eggs of your own."

Goldenscale walkked up and carefully put a frilled ear near the eggs, each heartbeat sounding the same but at the same time helping her to differentiate which eggs were which. She then gently put her wings around the edge of the nest to make sure they didn't fall. She closed her eyes and focused on them.

"The only thing they need to develope before they're ready to hatch is their own personal aura. To tell the truth, there is a very real chance they will hatch today. It is nearly impossible to tell the exact day an egg will hatch. That's why I'm in such a hurry to get the expantion done," she whispered, slowly draging the tip of her tail over the eggs, "I have to work as fast as i can, but I also need to watch it so I don't over work myself."

As Mayumi spoke, the center egg gave a brief shutter as the hatchling inside shifted around, scraping across the inside of the shell.

"I'll finish it for you then. You need to be here with the eggs." she said as she immediately went back to work. She was going to make sure this was going to be finished before they hatched.

"Everything alright dear," Tieral asked, working on the wall Goldenscale had before taking a break, "I know Mayumi is trying to finish this before tomorrow, but aren't you taking that a bit far?"

Looking back to the wall he was working on, Tieral went back ro fitting the slabs together. Severl minutes later, there were two roars that came from Mayumi's shop, one of pain and one of agression.

Near the wall, Ece was pressing up against the ceiling, trying to keep her distance from the red dragon that was bing pinned by Mayumi.

"Oh good, you heard the ruckas," Mayumi said, keeping her claws against the red dragon's neck, "This idiot though he could sneak in and take Ece. I do not have the political power to do anything, but you do.  Just say the word and I'll take care of him."

"Mom," Ece called out, gliding down to Goldenscale and hiding between her wings, "It's him again."

Climbing off Goldenscale's back, Ece flew over to Tieral before they both went inside.

"You can't do this, I've done nothing wrong. I demand a hearing over this," the red said, struggling to get a foot hold as he was dragged about, "You can't just do this to me."

"An assult against council family is punishable by death so she has any right to do whatever to you," Ahnah said, catching up with Goldenscale, "She warned you, and you didn't listen. You do no deserve her pity."

"And he will not receive it. My wrath is something to be feared, and as appointed guardian of this forest I kill anyone that has premeditated intent to harm." she hissed, tightening her grip more. She then reached the forest and threw him harshly against a tree. When he landed, she placed a foot on his chest. "Now how should I kill you..." she hissed, eyes blood red as she looked at him.

"You could let me handle him," Asmada said, tieing a rope around several large leaves before placing them in  bag he had made, "I could always use a little extra meat to top off my stock."

"What is he talking about," the red asked, finding it hard to breath after being thrown against the tree and having Goldenscale hold him down, "Who is he?"
