"And to think, they were no where near as ready last night. Mayumi's kind are full of surprises," he said, handing the pearl back to Ece, "I'm surprised at how fast they have developed."

"Thank you, the eggs may be growing faster now, but they still need to be kept warm," Mayumi said, she was just about done with the wall, "I'll be stopping soon to get something to eat."

"If you get the north wall, I'll get the west wall then we'll be done," she said, placing the last piece of the wall she was working on, "We might be able to finish today."

"So, do you think we were able to catch Ece's cold early enough," she asked, cutting the bindings holding a pile of slabs together, "It would be sad if she sustained lasting damage so soon after being adopted."

"I hope so too, she doesn't deserve such bad fortune," she said, starting to place the slabs.

A couple hours passed before Mayumi stepped away from the wall. "Alright, now sounds like a good time for a break," she said, turning to Goldenscale, "What say we take a few minutes to cool off and rest?"

"Thank you for helping. You're probably the only council member who I can fully trust, especialy after yesterday morning," she said, opening the door to go in, "Why don't you come inside, we can talk about and check  the eggs."

"I'm guessing you two are taking a break. While you rest, I'll see what I can get done," Tieral said, seeing Goldenscale and Mayumi enter. Setting Ece down on a pillow, Tieral nodded before walking out.

"Nature is getting a greater and greater hold as the day goes on. The eggs will proably hatch tomorrow at this rate," Mayumi said, removing the blanket from the eggs and laying down over the nest, "I have you and Rhidik to thank for that."
