"I just want a place to stay and someone to take care of me. I've been alone for two year out of my three years of life," she said, slowly gliding down to GOldenscale, starting to shake when she landed, "I though I had found someone who cared when I ran into Storm, but I was foolish. She's nowere to be found now."

"I don't want to be eaten," she said quietly, wrapping her wings around herself, "I don't want to die."

"You won't be eaten, nor will you die while I protect this forest, my little fairy." she said quietly.

Ece began to wimper as she curled up around her satchel.

"Poor thing must have been orphaned," Ahnah said, lifting her head when she heared the fae, "Far too many people see them as snacks rather than dragons. It'ds a shame really, they're the most in tune with nature among dragon kind."

"Faes are not very common around here. The closest colony of faes iswell beyond the farthest edge of the forest," Ahnah said, "The last time I saw a fae was when I was before I came here and still traveling, and that was ten years ago. She's probably traveled quite a ways to get here."

"I don't know how far I've traveld, but I did pass through two forests and a mountain range on my way to this forest. There was always someone or something trying to steal my pearl or trying to eat me," Ece said between sobs, "I wish Mama and Papa were still here. They would know where a good home would be."

"Will you disappear like Storm did," Ece asked, lifting her head up to look at GOldenscale, "I don't want to be left alone again."

"I will not let you be left alone. I will have to leave for a year to help find something for my mate, but I will return. I should introduce you to them since you will probably be staying with them." she said as she stood up, took the fae dragon in her arms and cradled her.

"I'm sure Alekai would be pleased to have someone a closer to his size to play with," Ahnah said, standing up as well, "I'll stop by Mayumi's place and see what she knows about faes. Maybe get a book or two for Tieral to read through."

"At least you told me you'd be gone for a long time," Ece said, wrapping back around her satchel, "I don't care where i end up so long as I'm safe and no one is trying to steal my pearl."

"Thank you. I don't know how I'll repay you, but I'll think of something," Ece said, uncurling her wings  and using them to hold her satchel, "I don't really have much to offer."

"Do not worry about repaying her, Goldenscale here is content to just help others. So long as you have no intent to harm those she cares about or protects, you'll have no trouble staying here," Ahnah said, walking alongside Goldenscale, "The council might take interest in you, but no harm will come to you without them going through Goldenscale and me."

"Exactly. I make sure nothing harms anyone I protect. The only repayment I need is the knowledge that you are happy. I don't believe I got your name, little one." Goldemscale said.

"My name is Ece. I was named after my mother," she said, climbing into the fur on Goldenscale's back, "It's just a painful reminder now."
