"There is a lot, but if you want to, go ahead," she said,  "Thank you for offering."

Ricken then left and beghan to gather Mayumi's belongings.

"Where is everyone," Clair asked, meeting Ricken at Frost's home, "Did I miss something?"

"You did, but I'm glad you missed it..." Ricken stated.  He then gathered as much as he could carry and walked out the door.

"Why exactly are you carrying Mayumi's things out," she asked, stopping Ricken at the door, "You may have been kidnapped by rogues, but that doesn't give you an excuse to steal someone's stuff."

"Who said I was stealing, and you really shouldn't assume, my dear." Ricken said as he pushed past Clair and began walking back towards the cave.

"You know as well as I do that we have to take things like we see them, whether or not what is seen is true. Anyways, once you're done moving Mayumi's stuff back to her home, the council seeks to confront Mayumi about Frost," she said, fallowing Ricken, "I have a bad feeling they're going to try pinning his death on her."

"Then I'll get Goldenscale involved.  They more than anyone that she speaks the truth.  When she tells them, they will know she speaks the truth.  But Mayumi also has us to back her up.  Every one of Goldenscale's enforcers, Goldenscale herself and Mayumi were all witnesses." Ricken said with a frown.

"Mayumi also has her three eggs giving her and advantage. What logical reason would she have to kill Frost when he fathered her current clutch? As far as I know, Frost never did anything to hurt Mayumi, thus giving her no logical reason to comit such an act," she said, trying to fiure out the council's logic, "We'll need to hold them off Mayumi until Goldenscale wakes."

"Which, knowing her, would be soon." Ricken said with a smile.

Goldenscale woke up with a groan.  "What did I eat..." she questioned herself when she got up.  "Where am I...I am in Mayumi's shop..." she said slowly.  "How did I get here?"  She coughed then gagged as the taste of blood registered.  "What is this foul liquid..." she asked herself quietly, trying to cleanse her tonguenof the taste.

"You'll have to trust me when I say you don't want to know. Here, drink this, it'll restore your energy and clear you mouth of the liquid," Mayumi said, handing Goldenscale a small round bottle about the size of an orange.

"Shade attacked you. She used dark energy to change you before you started attacking her," Tieral said, drinking a potion Mayumi had handed him moments before, "Shade will not be bothering us any longer."

"Mayumi and Ricken used a spell to paralyze you after they caught up to you. From there, Tieral used his light form to expose you to light energy and reverse what Shade had done," Ahnah said, "Rest now while you can. The council will likely try pinning Frost's death on Mayumi, and she'll all of us to support her. We're her only line of witnesses."

"I think I can already hear her now," Clair said, opening the door to Mayumi's home for Ricken.

Goldenscale let's string of curses from a dead language slip from her.  Ricken almost dropped the box in surprise.  "Goldenscale!  Who taught you that!" Ricken scolded.  "I'm not telling, I shall be back." she said as she quickly drank the potion and stormed towards the council building.  She still had her slight limp, but sh didn't care.  "What is the meaning of this!" she yelled when she got inside.

"Look, we can only go by what evidence there is. If you have something that can prove us wrong, be our guest and show us, but she's the only one who could killed him. He was too young to die of age. It could very well have been a medical problem he had, but we have no medical records from him at all," the council member at the front desk said, knowing what Goldenscale was mad about.

"I have been around death all my life, and I can tell you right now, he died of normal means.  I have identified every way a creature has died, and he died by none of them.  I saw no wounds, nor did I feel any unwanted presences.  I would also have been alerted by anyone with any intent to harm." she yelled.

"You may  know this yourself, but we can't take the word of only one person and take it as truth. Not even if that one person is part of the council. We will keep your side in mind, but we'll need more than just you to say it's true," he said, keeping his voicelevel and free of his own anger, "If you can get enough witnesses, or evidence to prove your side true at her trial, then she will walk free. If not, she will be put to death. Her trial will start once she's been brought in."
