"You don't know what it's like to loose someone so close. You don't know what it's like to fear loosing them," Mayumi nearly yelled, "My mother told me I'd never loose Kor or Chiei, and he's gone. She told me I'd never loose Frost, and now he's gone too. I don't want you telliung me I wont loose the eggs of Goldenscale. I've heard that so many times I don't believe it anymore."

"He's done such much, and yet so little. His actions will never be forgotten," Ahnah said, becoming dismal as she layed down beside Goldenscale.

"I was only seven when I was thrust into a war. I saw so many die, be brought back by a necromancer, and die again. I lost so many friends then that the only ones I had left were Kor and those who were untouched and unaware of the war. I understand they would want me to move on, but moving on is so much harder than most people believe. Death is hard to accept, no matter what," Mayumi said, old scars starting to appear on her body, "I will move on, but it takes time. It just wouldn't sem right to me to move on so quickly. I still have trouble accepting CHiei's and Kor's deaths, and now I have to add Frost to this."

"Yes, my memory work in such a way I can recall every detail and date. If I saw them die, I will always remember that exact moment, whether or not I want to. The White King, Kor's father, showed me every death in the war, both enemy and friend, using his grasp of time to open a riftfor me to see," she said, "Why and how he did so is still a mystery to me. All I know is he travels time as a spirit bound to it. I understand how GOldenscale feels because of him. I still feel like I could have prevented all those deaths, but they are in the past now, remaining as haunting memories."

"I was not a merical of nature like GOldenscale is, I was lucky to even survive that war. I knew I didn't have the power to prevent their deaths and that only made the pain worse. I had the ability but not the strength to save them," she said, rubbing over one of her scars as the color faded from her once more, "I'm not going to say I had it worse than Goldenscale, I would be badly wrong."

Taking a white crystal from huis pouch, Tieral held it close as he watched Goldenscale.

"Well, child. It seems as though you have lost another. When will you take a hint that you will end up loosing everyone you love?" Shade said. "How can you keep on thinking that you can save everyone from death." she said. Goldenscale clenched her fists. "Get out..." she said quietly. "What was that?" she inquired, forming i side the home. "I said GET OUT!" she screamed, getting up off the ground and throwing Shade out the house. "What have I done except try to bring you away from those who would leave you?" She said with a smirk. "YOU'VE DONE NOTHING TO HELP ME!" she screamed. "Ugh, such an ignorant child." she said as she shot shadow energy at her. When the energy subsided, the Goldenscale everyone knew was gone. In her place stood a golden dragon with glowing red eyes, a creature who's anger and sorrows had consumed her. Her golden horns curved up and in the place of her mane, frills had appeared. Spikes grew from her elbows and heels and her claws had extended until they became loving swords. Her wings had turned into those of a normal dragon's, with bright yelllw on the tips of her wings and fading to a white as it got closer to the top. Her tail had also reverted from it's normal self to resemble a forked tail, three long spikes pointing in the same direction and the center spike being the longest and smaller spikes trailing up her tail on either side. Something was going to die by her hands now.

Ricken's ears perked up. "Sh**, something's not rig- Oh, no! Goldenscale's finally lost it! Mayumi, you need to protect your eggs! Shade's here and she made Goldenscale loose the last shred of sanity that she had. This isn't good!" he yelled as he ran to go and help.

Taking a deep breath, Mayumi took out a small viel and drank the contents. After a few moments, she was running past Ricken, looking more like a blaze of white fire as she ran. "SHADE, YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A PLAGUE ON THIS LAND OUR MINDS. SHOW YOURSELF YOU FOULD CREATURE," she yelled as she arived, knocking Larai aside as she openend the door, "YO KNOW NOT WHO YOU DEAL WITH."

Backing against the wall, Tieral held tight to the white crystal as he fought against the dark energy.

"Normal chains wont hold either of them. There are no chains heavier than those that bind the soul," Mayumi said, turning to Ricken, still ablaze with white fire, "Hold out your book, I will give you a speel that will hold both of them using their very souls to hold them in place."

"Mayumi speaks the truth,"Ahnah said, calling around Mayumi, "The spell she has will force their souls into a solid, imovable state."

"It prevents their souls from controling their bodies. It freezes their souls to stop the body. All energies in the body still cycle through," Mayumi said, holding out a claw, gathering all the fire covering her body gathering on its tip, "She will be unable to move, but her body will be able to be moved by an outside force. She will effectively become a living statue until the spell is released. Hold up you book and my fire will inscribe the spell in the first open space there is. It is one of few spells that gain strength when casted from a book. Cast it on both of them and we'll have all the time we need to deal with Shade."

Then there was a scream of pure agony and fdear as Goldenscale ran her claws along Shade's body and killed her.  "Thy blood shall water the trees within mine forest and it shall bind you to hell." Goldenscale said.

"Too late.  Shade's dead for sure.  Hurry, so we can catch Goldenscale." he said as he held open a blank page.

Pointing her claw at the page, Mayumi sent the fire onto the page to inscribe what looked to be a three pronged rune. "All you have to do is hold three claws against the points, and focus your energy while holding the target in line with the book. After a few moments, it will fire a tracking blast of energy that will aply the spell," Mayumi said, starting towards the lake, "We must hurry now."
