"Then shall we go?" he asked. ~ Goldenscale soon reached Konoki. "I thought I said I was not to fight anymore this year." she said, annoyed. "I am aware of this Shazhra, but this one won't take no for an answer. He will fight you, he said." he said with worry. She sighed. "Where is he." she asked with a sigh. A large gryphon soon appeared. Her eyes widened slightly, but then narrowed. "I am not someone with tons of free time." she said. "I will fight you, whether it be fair or not." he said in a somewhat deep voice. "Fine..." she growed and got in her place. The other then did the same.

"I'll meet you there then," Clair said, kising Ricken before running off to watch Goldenscale. Reaching the edge of the battle grounds, she stopped to watch.

Ricken soon caught up with Clair. ~ Konoki then went to the center of the field. "Alright. This is the final fight for the year so all who have come are lucky. We all know the rules, but I'm going to say them again. No cheating, no magic, and no weapons. Alright, GO!" Konoki screeched. He then saw Ricken and Clair. "I don't think I've seen you two before. First timers?" he asked them. Goldenscale and her opponent were already fighting like crazy.

"First time seeing a challenge like this, yes," Clair said, nodding to Konoki, "I'm guessing this is like the top fighter challenge back in the cave.People compete to see who is the best fighter. Everyone wants to beat the champion to take his or her place. At the end of the year, the top three fightersrecive special rewards for their hard work."
"I had to learn fast all the stuff I know. It was either learn fast or perish," Ece said, leaning against Storm, "It's been hard and I miss home, but I know home is gone, just like mama and Papa." Pressing into Storm's neck, she began crying, her young age starting to show.

"In a sense, yes. But everyone competes with Shazhra also as a right of passage. Those confident enough in their fighting challenge her and they get to move up the chain to adulthood. She's been our Champion for a few years now. Everyone holds her in high regards, and they seem to accept her. Her current opponent seems bent on trying to beat her and gain the Champion status. The status itself gives nothing extra than to show you are strong. I'm worried for her because he acts all high and mighty. If he keeps this up, he might end up really hurting her..." he said with worry. Goldenscale continued to fight for all she was worth, but this new gryphon seemed invincible. He was never fazed by her attacks, nor did he seemed hurt by her precise attacks. He finally ended the fight with a harsh kick to her stomach. She was thrown against a tree and she fell to the ground, coughing up blood. She couldn't seem to get up, breathing hurt. He then went over. "I win." he said with a smirk and walked away. Konoki ran over and immediately began to help her up. She waved him off and began to limp away angrily.

Uncovering her head, Ece looked up to Storm. "Will you really look after me," she asked between breaths, he large water blue eyes glazed over with her tears, "I don't want to be alone. I don't want to struggle anymore."

"Cursed gryphon cheated..." she said angrily. She then jumped onto the ledge leading into her home, gasping when she hit the ledge. She got back up and limped to her tree, climbing up. ~ "I wouldn't worry too much about her, though I've never seen her lose before." Ricken said. "We'll let the public decide of this is his win or not. I saw nothing outside of the rules, but he did fight dirty. We'll let someone know once we have reached a decision." Konoki said, somewhat angry.
