Limping over to a wooden trapdoor, he lifted up to reveal a small compartment lined with ice. "They can go in here, but first I want a piece of fruit for Hanna," he said, stepping back over to Goldenscale and taking a single piece of fruit and walking towards a door hidden in the dark.

Goldenscale set the bags in the compartment and closed the doof to keep them fresh.

"Well, I know that my flames have gone black tipped and in light magic I conjure white fire angels and I turn into ice" I say matter-of-factly "please don't take it as rude if I leave now, the mage told me to find Frost" I say turning around "Goodnight" I say and go to find Frost.

"It's not even lunch yet, but I'll keep that in mind when night comes," Mayumi said, watching Storm leave.

"Goldenscale, I'd like you to meet Hannah," the blavck dragon said, returning with his daughter who was about the same size as Alekai, "She is all I have left. Dara left this morning using the last of her energy to go to the council's booth and meet the new Head of Council. I'm afraid she wont return."

"Sorry!" I shout after her, "but please keep that in mind"

"Then this community really does care for us, at least enough to save her life. If only you would have come two months ago, maybe then we'd still have Benji and Carlia," the black dragon said, using a brace to keep himself standing as he held Hanna, "They were taken from this world too early, but we must move on. They will live in our memories."

hanna let out a weak chirp before biting into the peach she was given.

"I wish things could get that much better, but with my missing limbs, I'll never be able to provide for my family again," he said, watching Hanna nobble away at the peach she was now wrapped around, "Dara's the only one who even has a chance to get a job. It's bad enough that it's my fault we ended up like this, but now, all I can do sit on the sidelines and watch as the world is rebuilt around me. There's nothing for me but my family, and I'd best make the best out of what time I have left in this world."

"There is something humans made for problems like this. I think it is called a prosthetic. If I have some time, I may be able to figure out how to make them..." she said.

"I know of what you speak. I do have one, but I'd still be unfit for work, even if I used it. Employers would only see my missing wing and leg as a liability, and thus not hire me," he said, "I may not like it, but I'll just have to stay home an  take care of Hanna and the house. I may not be able to replace my leg and wing, but that doesn't mean I can't be happy with what i have."

Hannah let out a fawn before laying her head in the hole she had eaten into the peach.

"Well, it seems Goldenscale is busy. Think it would be a good idea to check in on her," Clair asked, having gotten up beside Ricken and wrapped her tail around his.

"It's good to hear they finally chose someone who can legitimatly defend themselves to be a council member. It's almost saddening to hear that the other council members have no combat skills at all. Can't say I know the new Council Head enough to pass that kind of judgement on him specifically yet, so he's still a wild card," she said, leaning agaist Ricken, "Well, enough about the council. Why don't we head into the barracks and catch up with what's happened over the years? Well, besides what the rogues had you do."
