"Nothing a little elemental energy couldn't heal. Getting the arrows out was the hard part," Mayumi said, returning to her nest, "I just hope I never have to deal with another rogue. They're weak little thorns in my side. Here I am trying to take care of three eggs and they come trying to bash the barrier in using percusive  and cuncusive magic."

"Let's just hope that was al of them," Tieral said, "I'm just glad you're alright after what happened out there."

"Well, if you have nothing else to say, move on over to the booth," a council member said tapping Frost on the shoulder, "We're sure the public has plenty of questions for you."

"I'm pretty sure that was the last of them, for now at least." she said, nuzzling Tieral. "Being as Shade is my past lofe, she's probably still alive somwhere gathering more rogues..." she added softly as she got up.

I walked over to them  "are you ok?" i asked, suddenly feeling tired, as I looked at the door I could see the animals destinguishing, one by one, leaving embers glowing on the road "thank god they went" I said wondering if I will distinguish as well.

"Yeah, are you?" Goldenscale asked Storm.

"Had better days" I say and as if on cue the tendrils of fire die down, still there and glowing though. I suddenly feel really tired and my vision falls short, black spothes from in my eyesight. I try to speak but that doesnt work. The fire has compleatly burt out. Then I black out.

"A little too much fire energy has very destructive abilities when release like it was with Storm here," Mayumi said, watching Storm black out, "She should be fine. The energy was activated on her without warning. Seeing as she's still in one piece, all she needs is rest."

"So any questions?" Frost asks.

"Now that you are the council head, what are the first things you'll change," someone in the crowd said, stepping forward.

"It does seem that way..." she said, stretching her stiff body.  She then began to preen her feathers since they were out of place from the fighting and from laying on the ground.  "Anything else happen while I was out?" she asked.

"Not here, but in the cave the council is probably anouncing the new head of council at this time," she said, laying her head down among the eggs, "On personal news, I can already hear the little ones' heart beats. They're all very fain, but I can still hear them."

"I'm going to be a sister...  Oh, when are they going to hatch?" she asked Mayumi.

"It'll be about a month till they hatch. Until then, Frostt and I will be taking turns caring for them since we both have importnant jobs to keep tabs on," she said, lifting her head, "Come on over here. Lets see if you can hear them."

Goldenscale went over to the eggs and put a feathered ear next to one of the eggs.

Deep withing the shell, a faint rhythmic beating could be heard. "It's amazing isn't it," Mayumi asked, heating up the coals beneath the eggs to shine light through them. Inside each egg was a tiny form that shifted slightly in reaction to the heat. "They're beautiful Aren't they?"
