"I do not know what an activity is..." she said quietly.

"What would you do for fun," she asked, standing up once more, "Even with a rough childhood like yours, you must have had something that you considered fun. Could be sparring or racing or anything  really."

"Well, why don't we go see what activeties there are open, you're bound to find something you will like," she said, trying to chear Goldenscale up, "If anything, you might win a few prizes."

"Maybe..." she said standing up. 

"Try putting the visions and dreams out of your mind and enjoy the atmosphere. This festival is closer to what humans call a bon odori. Just take in the smells and sounds, and you'll find yourself enjoying yourself more than anything else," she said, stepping out from behind the booth, seeing the crowds growing around every booth, "A bon odori is more community oriented than this, so calling it a festival is more accurate."

She looked at her in confusion, but she shook her head and locked away Tue thoughts.  "Alright..." she said with a smile.

"Alright then, this way," she said, placing a wing on Goldenscale's back and leading her towards the growing crowd, "Just say when you see something you want to try. There's food and games all over the place to try."

"But how will I know what I think is interesting?  For oneyuou know I don't know any 'activities' and two I don't even know what's in a festival...  I've never been in one..." she said looking around.

"Just look around and if anything catches your attention, say something. If you want, you can ask around and see what's popular," she said, "You might find someting you want to try, be it food or games."

"It might be all of it then." she said with a smile.  She saw one of the booths that looked interesting to her and went over to it.  "What's this?" she asked.

"This is just a simple game," the person behind the booth said, picking up a ball and pointing to the stacked pins, "The goal is to knock down all the pins in as few balls as possible. You have three throws to do this. You win a prize for knocking them all down, and a prize of your choice if you have extra throws left."

"Can I try this, mom?" she said with a smile, her ears perking up.

"Sure, I don't see why not. You might have better aim than me at this game," Mayumi said, placing a few pieces of copper in the clerk's claws.

"Thank you ma'am," the clerk said, placing the copper in a small bag and turning to hand the balls to Goldenscale, "Here you go, maybe you'll win something for your mother or soon to be siblings."

Goldenscale bit her tongue as she took aim and threw at the bottles.  She managed to hit the right half of the pins, soon taking out the other half with the other ball.  She purred when she saw she had taken out all of the pins with 2/3 of the balls.
